Chapter 182: Is He Really Brother Han’s Son?

Chapter 182: Chapter 182: Is He Really Brother Han’s Son?

When the little boy came out after washing his hands and incidentally his face, his rosy cheeks still dripping wet, Uncle Hai rushed up with a towel to wipe his face for him.

The little boy cooperated nicely by stretching his face forward like an ostrich burying its head into Uncle Hai’s fluffy towel. He rubbed his face vigorously against the towel a few times, then turned up his small face towards Uncle Hai and grinned, "Uncle Hai, done!"

Looking at his radiant smile, Uncle Hai felt a burst of sentimentality.

Indeed, a child’s presence significantly brightens up the house. The gloomy atmosphere which had dominated the house for the past few years had finally been broken by the return of the young master.

Seeing Uncle Hai staring fixedly at him, the little boy playfully winked and stuck out his tongue making a funny face.

Tickled by the boy’s antics, Uncle Hai managed to laugh along. Grasping the boy’s mussed up hair, he stroked it to tidy it up. Afterwards, he inadvertently brushed against the boy’s icy cold face, and was taken slightly aback.

"Young master, didn’t you know that blue faucet on the washbasin is for hot water?"

Uncle Hai assumed that the intelligent young master wouldn’t need this to be pointed out to him.

"I know, but, I use cold water. It’s healthy!"

The little boy, despite his young age, was quite assertive and showed no signs of deciding to change his ways due to Uncle Hai’s reminder.

"Uncle Hai! Is he really Han’s son?"

An abrupt female voice startled both the old man and the young boy.

The little boy turned around and peeked over Uncle Hai’s shoulder.

In the distance, they saw a chic woman with long, curly hair.

The sights of the three collided. The little boy clearly saw a hostile light flash in the woman’s eyes.

Spotting this woman, the little boy frowned slightly, clutching Uncle Hai’s arm. "Uncle Hai, who is she?"

Agented by the unfriendly gaze of the woman, the boy instinctively held a grudge against her.

He quickly searched through the pieces of information his Mommy had told him about. He had a hunch about the woman’s identity but wasn’t certain.

The little boy needed to confirm her identity first before making any move. He wondered what her status was in this household – whether it was important or not.

Uncle Hai hugged him tightly and turned to speak to the woman.

"Miss Yi, this is our young master."

Upon hearing Uncle Hai’s address for this lady, everything suddenly clicked in the boy’s mind.

Before leaving, Mommy had reminded him over and over.

"Baby boy, your Daddy’s new wife is called Yi Wei. If she bullies you and you really cannot stand her, call your aunt and she will stand up for you. Got it?"

"So, she’s my stepmother?" At that time, the little boy was especially vexed. He wanted very much to stay by Mommy’s side. He really did not want to return to the bastard Yan’s house.

After coming back, the little boy had yet to meet this so-called stepmother. He had even intentionally hogged the facade’s big bed, leaving him to wonder where the bastard and his new wife would sleep.

Unfortunately, after lying down, he had fallen asleep. Upon waking up, he did not see any sign of a stepmother, but only the abhorrent face of the old man.

At breakfast, the little boy was still puzzled. Almost a day had passed but he had yet to meet this woman called Yi Wei.

Could it be that she is too hateful and ugly, and the old man has gotten sick of her and dumped her again?

Upon hearing Uncle Hai address this woman as Miss Yi, the boy’s heart relaxed noticeably.

Therefore, she is not his stepmother!

While the little boy continued to observe Miss Yi, the latter glared at him with a murderous gaze.

"Uncle Hai, is he really Han’s son? Are you sure?"

Miss Yi’s gaze was fixed stubbornly on the little boy’s face. If looks could kill, the young master’s handsome face would’ve been destroyed by her gaze by now.

Initially, the little boy intended to act scared, and let Uncle Hai deal with this woman, thinking that she wasn’t his stepmother and it would be a waste of his time to deal with her.

Just that, seemed like this woman herself was unaware of her position in the Yan house, at least she did not have a clearer idea than the little boy did.

The little boy glanced at Yi Wei, "Who are you? And who cares whether or not I’m Yan’s young master!"

Miss Yi never imagined that a little brat would dare to embarrass her in front of the Yan household’s butler.

If it weren’t for the presence of Uncle Hai, she might have thrown a tantrum right there. But for now, due to her image and Uncle Hai’s presence, she had to pretend as if she was calm and interact with the little boy in a peaceful manner.

"Little friend, didn’t anyone teach you good manners? You should be respectful to adults!"

The little boy lifted his chin, snorted, "Yes, Mommy told me, to speak human language to humans, and dog language to dogs."

It was clear just by looking at her, he was referring to Yi Wei as a dog.

A wave of crimson spread across Yi Wei’s face, before turning pale. She glanced at Uncle Hai, yet he remained calm and collected about the situation, as if the boy was not insulting her, but merely making small talk.

The clearly protective stance of Uncle Hai towards the little boy convinced her that this cheeky child was really Han’s son!

The first time she saw the little boy’s face, she was almost certain that this child was the seed of Han.

However, who is his mother? And why had she never heard that Han had such a big son?

Before she figured out the ins and outs, Yi Wei decided to play it safe.

She took a deep breath, trying her utmost to hide the rage in her heart, and made herself appear as friendly as possible. Then, she extended a hand to the little boy with a smile.

"Little friend, I am a good friend of your daddy’s, you can call me Sister Wei."

Yi Wei’s expressions changed markedly, as if she were putting on different faces.

A common child probably would’ve been deceived by now.

Unfortunately, the little boy was no ordinary child.

He felt no affection towards Yi Wei whatsoever and was rather annoyed with her, even more so than with the old man.

Since he was very young, when Mommy mentioned his daddy, she told him that they got divorced due to personality clash. Still, the little boy firmly felt that everything was the old man’s fault.

Mommy was so nice, yet the old man divorced her. Who else’s fault could it be other than his?

Of course, explaining the concept of divorce and personality clashes to an underaged child was a little abstract and difficult to understand.

The little boy could only comprehend such things within his own capacity.

Previously, he didn’t care much about Yan Han. There was no distinct affection nor aversion.

After all, the old man had divorced his mommy. He didn’t even come to visit him, his son, all these years. Why would he need to think or care for him?
