Cucking The Demon King -
Chapter 47: He’s a demon
Chapter 47: He’s a demon
’Too bad for you Rex, this sweet dream of yours is about to become a nightmare.’ He thought, a sinister smirk tugging at the edges of his lips.
"Realised what?!" Rex shouted, clenching his fists in annoyance. "Answer my question, who are you?"
"You’ve really sunken deep into this dumb dream huh..." Liam mumbled nonchalantly, clicking his tongue.
It didn’t even seem like he registered Rex’s presence, something which only angered the red haired youth.
"That means I need to remind you, the difference between dreams and reality." He continued, tucking his hands into his pocket.
"Shut up!" Rex shouted, veins bulging at the sides of his forehead.
"Do you know who you’re talking to?!" He shouted, charging towards Liam in anger.
The gloves of his hands lit up once more, radiant specks rapidly gathering around their surfaces.
Swinging his hand towards Liam, Rex instantly unleashed another brilliant beam of light, this one even more powerful than the last one.
However, just like the last time, the beam abruptly stopped merely inches away from Liam, disintegrating into tiny white particles.
"You just don’t get it do you?" A chilling voice sounded from his back, and his body subconsciously trembled in terror.
Before he could even react, he felt a large hand firmly grip the back of his head, and in a split second, his face was slammed into the hard ground.
The floor split and broke, as over half of his head was buried deep within it, with blood oozing out from the wound.
Numerous pieces from the broken ground pierced into different parts of his face, drawing out blood and putting him in even greater agony.
"Aghm!!" He shouted in agony, but his voice was muffled by the ground.
"Didn’t you learn anything from the last time?" Liam’s voice drifted into his ears once again, causing his body to tremble again.
He slowly pulled his head out of the ground, bringing him face to face with him while still maintaining a firm grip on his hair.
"W-why...?" Rex mumbled, gnashing his teeth in agony as he stared at Liam. "Why are you doing... this to me?"
"Why? You’re really asking me that?" Liam replied mockingly, tightening his grip on the boy’s hair.
He slowly turned his head to the side, where the dream version of himself was still sitting, and their gazes made contact.
The other Liam’s eyes widened in shock, feeling a strange feeling well up within him as they locked eyes with one another.
"So you still think this is a dream?" Liam mumbled, turning his attention back to Rex.
He didn’t exactly enjoy looking at the weak, pathetic version of himself, which spent six years in the academy getting bullied and tormented every day of his life.
Though that wasn’t exactly him, but rather the original owner of this body, it still felt like looking into a mirror into the past.
A part of him wanted to say something to this version of himself, even though it was merely a dream.
But for some reason, it felt like his lips were sealed, and no words left his mouth.
"That’s fine though." He replied, slowly dragging Rex up by his hair, pulling him towards the crowd of students at the other side.
"I’ll make sure I juggle your memory, with a nice, hard beating."
"N-no... stop!!" Rex screamed in horror, trying his best to free himself from Liam’s grip.
He hit his hand many times, but it felt like hitting a solid rock, and Liam didn’t even budge.
He even tried activating his blessing, but expect for his hands glowing slightly, nothing else happened.
He couldn’t even activate his blessing, neither could he channel his mana to try and fight back.
Unbeknownst to him, Liam had already sealed all of that by touching his head.
Since he was in total control of this dream, he could do anything he wished, whether it was sealing a blessing or turning someone into a complete vegetable.
In this dream world, he was completely invincible!
Blam!
Liam suddenly flung Rex to the ground, causing the red haired boy to groan in pain as his body crashed into the hard ground.
"I wasn’t able to properly deal with you the last time, but now... I can do whatever I want with you."
"Don’t you remember, all those years... forcing me to carry out your selfish wishes?" He muttered, his eyes flashing with a cold glint.
Rex’s body shivered, his eyes widening in shock as Liam’s words.
"L-Liam...?" He mumbled, his gaze shifting to the other Liam, who simply stared at them from a distance.
’But that’s not possible... the real Liam... is...’ He mumbled, his thoughts slurring in confusion.
Suddenly, a flood of memories rushed through his mind, and his hands started trembling in realisation.
Right before his eyes, the other Liam’s body turned transparent, his figure rapidly growing dimmer until it vanished into thin air.
"He’s... gone...?" He mumbled, his face frozen in disbelief.
As for the people around him, they didn’t act like someone just vanished in front of them.
They simply stood the way they did before, whispering among themselves at the fight that was about to take place.
Their gazes only alternated between Liam and Rex, and it was as if the moment the other Liam disappeared, his existence was also wiped off from their memory.
"What... is going on...? What exactly is going on?" Rex mumbled, clutching his head.
Was he the one seeing things? Could it be that he imagined the other Liam vanishing?
How come there were two Liams in the first place? Just what the hell was supposed to be happening?!
Numerous thoughts kept flashing in his mind, each one sounding more crazy than the last.
It felt like he was going crazy, as he seemed to be the only one who noticed the weird things happening around him.
"Didn’t I already tell you? This is a dream... or rather a nightmare for you." Liam suddenly said, his words piercing into his ears like a spear.
"A dream...?" Rex mumbled, his voice shaky.
He slowly looked up at Liam, his body trembling in terror.
"Yeah..." Liam said, his eyes lighting up with a bright red glow.
Thin, dark smoky wisps slowly rose up from his arms, coalescing with each other as they coiled up his arms.
"W-what is... going on...?" Rex mumbled, subconsciously moving backwards at the sight.
His heart beat tripled, and his cloth clung to his skin from the sweat.
His face remained frozen in horror as he watched the smoky wisps form into countless tendrils, each one wrapping around Liam’s arms like snakes.
The tendrils wriggled like they each had lives of their own, and for a split second, Rex felt like he had cackling sounds from them.
’Black smoke... living tendrils...’ He mumbled inwardly, rapidly piecing together everything going on.
"A d-demon..." He muttered, his face twisting in horror at the realisation. "You’re... a demon..."
Ever since he was young, he had always heard stories about demons and how terrifying they were, but not once had he set his eyes on an actual, living demon.
Despite being the son of the knight king, he was treated as the trash of the house, with all the fatherly love going to his twin sister, Emma.
So right now, being faced with Liam’s demonic power, his heart leapt to his chest, and his mind froze.
He quickly turned to the crowd behind him, however, he was shocked to see them all standing like the scene before them was normal.
—"Why is Rex shivering?"
—"Don’t tell me he’s afraid of that weak, puny Liam. Pfttt.
—"I’m sure he will piss his pants anytime from now."
—"Hahaha"
They all mocked him without care, giggling and laughing among themselves.
’What... is going on?’ Rex mumbled inwardly, feeling drowned in the midst of all the mocking laughter.
These were the same people singing praises of him merely minutes ago, so why were they mocking him now?
Had they forgotten who he was... the son of the knight king?
Or could they not see the demon in front of them, who seemed like he was out for their blood?
"He’s a demon... why aren’t you running away?!" He shouted at a girl giggling not too far away from him, his finger pointing at Liam.
But the girl simply hissed, clicking her tongue in disappointment.
"Run away? It’s just Liam... why does it seem like you’re pissing yourself in fear?" She said, and the people behind her burst into another round of laughter.
—"What a coward!"
—"Maybe that’s why he was abandoned by his family!"
—"Yeah, if I had an ugly, stupid like this, I’ll surely kill him out of shame."
The mocking remarks only increased, each one stabbing into Rex’s heart like a blade.
"No... no... this can’t be..." He kept mumbling, looking around him in confusion.
However, all he could see were the mocking, demonic faces of his so called supporters, all making fun of him.
