Cucking The Demon King
Chapter 36: In one hit!

Chapter 36: In one hit!

They felt like their eyes were deceiving them, but no matter how they tried to deny it, the truth was playing out in front of them.

Liam, the student with no blessing and a weak constitution, was fighting seemingly on the same level with their combat instructor!

It was a feat no one had done before, even with the power of their blessing added to the midst.

Even without a blessing, the man known as Kurt Yell was still a formidable opponent.

His strength and deadly martial arts were unparalleled among master-level knights, which was why he was chosen as their combat instructor.

Even after six years at the academy, none of them could properly trade blows with him at his full power.

The highest they could last was five minutes, before they were eventually sent flying in the air or falling to the ground, and that was with Kurt holding back his power.

But then, they could see Liam—who was meant to be a nobody, fight that same man on equal grounds.

The sound of their weapons striking each other continuously echoed through the hair, their figures looking like blurs to the crowd of students.

They could only see their weapons clashing against each other, and their blurring figures moving all around the place.

However, one thing was sure—they had seen the instructor fight any of them with this same level of intensity!

Meanwhile, Liam swiftly swung both his blades at Kurt, aiming to slice him up from the side.

But the instructor, sensing his motive, quickly spun his pole around, deflecting the strikes away from him.

He suddenly lunged forward, spinning the pole on his left hand before thrusting it into Liam’s chest.

"Ugh!" Liam gnashed his teeth as the tip of pole struck his chest, sending him to stumble backwards by a few centimetres.

While the strike hadn’t exactly hurt him, it managed to disrupt his balance a bit, and Kurt didn’t waste any time before pressing in on the attack.

His swung his weapon at Liam’s feet, aiming to sweep him off the ground.

But then, Liam had already expected something like this.

Throughout their fight, the instructor rarely went for any of his vital points.

It seemed like his aim was to knock him to the ground, claiming his victory without coming out as too brutal on his student.

But despite understanding why he thought this way, Liam still felt angered by it for some reason.

It was like the instructor didn’t even take him seriously.

He was the one with the highest stats, yet, he was struggling to land a proper hit.

To make things worse, the man was fighting without his blessing, yet he managed to stand against him on equal ground.

He was pouring all his strength into each strike, but Kurt would simply deflect them with a simple wave of his pole, angering him even more.

’This time... I’ll get him!’ Liam thought, planting a foot firmly against the ground, and then raising the other up, to step on the annoying pole.

Since the pole was the reason Kurt could deflect his attacks, disarming him meant dropping his defences, leaving him open to any strike he might throw his way!

But as his sole was about to make contact with the pole, the man suddenly pulled it back.

Bam!

His feet slammed into the ground instead, leaving a small dent along with slight fissures around its surface.

’What?!’ Liam thought, his eyes widening in shock as he stared at the thick cloud of dust slowly rising up his leg.

Within that split second of distraction, Kurt swiftly swung the other hand end the pole at his right hand, knocking his sword away from him.

The sword flew through the air, spinning a number of times, before falling in the distance with a loud, reverberating clang.

Liam gritted his teeth in annoyance, staring helplessly at the blade lying away from him.

Though he still had one sword with him, his strength had already been halved in a way, as his main weapon was dual blades.

The amount of power and skill he could exhibit with one sword wasn’t nearly half of what he could with two.

If he already struggling despite using two swords, then he would surely lose with one!

"You’ve gotten strong." Kurt’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts, bringing his focus back to the man in front of him.

The instructor’s eyes narrowed at the dent left on the ground by Liam’s feet, and he sighed, saying once again: "Very strong."

"But then..." He continued, spinning the pole in his hands a few times.

"...you put too much power in your attacks." He said, gently tapping the pole on the ground.

"You have clearly trained, but you lack the experience needed to fully show the effect of your training."

"You also let your mind drift away easily... even when in a fight."

"Fix these issues, and I am sure barely anyone would be able to match you in a fight." He said, his lips curling into a slight smile.

Meanwhile, the expression on Liam’s face kept worsening in annoyance as he heard the man’s words.

Each of his critics felt like a stab in his pride, and he couldn’t help but feel a sick feeling rising within him.

To make things worse, everything the instructor said was absolutely correct, which only annoyed him even more.

"It’s not yet over..." He muttered, gripping the remaining sword firmly.

"Huh?" Kurt mumbled, his brows raising in surprise.

’His still overflowing with energy... how impressive.’ He thought, bending his knees slightly, with his pole gripped firmly in his hands.

One end of it pointed towards the ground, while the other rose above his short body, pointing at the sky.

This was one of his fighting stances, and though simple, it was very effective.

Meanwhile, the eyes of the students watching their spar widened in surprise, and their murmuring increased in volume.

—"Look... the instructor’s taking a stance!"

—"Against... Liam?"

—"I’ve never seen him take a stance in a spar."

The man clicked his tongue at their remarks, but he didn’t say anything, neither did he order them to keep quiet.

He usually didn’t take a stance when sparring with a student, but he did so this time because he was wary of Liam’s speed, as well as his insane strength.

He didn’t show it, but whenever their weapons clashed, he could feel a slight tremor course through his bones, which spoke volumes about his opponent’s strength.

It had been a while he had experienced something like that, and he had to admit, he was getting a bit excited.

"Fine, if you’re not satisfied with that... you can come at me again." He said, a slight smirk appearing on his lips.

"Yeah." Liam said, a strange glint flashing across his eyes.

He also got into his own stance, pointing his sword at the instructor.

’Fuck it... Activate Dash!’

[Dash Activated!]

[+100 Points temporarily allocated to Agility!]

A set of notifications flashed across his eyes, and he immediately felt a surge of energy circulate round his body, especially within his legs.

’Let’s see if you can keep up with me now!’ He shouted, a smug smirk tugging at the edges of his lips.

Firmly planting his feet on the ground, he was about to sprint forward, but just then, he realised he could barely move his legs!

It was like they were filled with the heaviest of lead, and even taking a step felt like climbing a mountain.

His gaze instinctively went to his feet, only to find out the tip of the instructor’s pole lightly touching his foot.

He slowly looked up, gnashing his teeth as his eyes met with that of Kurt.

The man’s face was squeezed into a frown, but at the edges of his lips, he could notice a slight smirk.

"Sorry kid, but I never said I won’t use my blessing." The instructor said, confirming Liam’s thoughts with his words.

With that, he suddenly swung his pole up, gently tapping Liam’s chin with the tip.

It was a mere tap, but Liam’s body was lifted a few feet into the air like paper, his second sword falling out of his hand.

’Now... I can’t feel my body!’ He thought through gritted teeth, trying his best to regain control over his body.

However, the man didn’t waste any time, immediately following up with another swing at his abdomen.

Thwack!

The pole slammed into Liam with full force, hurtling his body through the air at rapid speed.

"Argh!" Liam grunted as his back arched backwards, his stomach aching uncontrollably.

His body spun countless times in the air, but just as he was about to hit the floor, he suddenly backflipped, landing back on his feet.

However, just as quickly as he landed, he dropped down on one knee, coughing incessantly, while dripping his abdomen.

He felt like he had been hit by a fast-moving train, and his vision quickly turned blurry.

[-150 Health!]

A red, blinking notification immediately in front of his blurry vision, and his eyes widened in shock.

That was the most damage he had ever taken, and to think it was only from one hit!

’Fuck... I should have been more careful...’ He mumbled inwardly, slowly getting back up on his feet.

He could feel a slightly metallic taste in his mouth, and the frown on his face deepened.

Ptui!

Spitting out the blood in his mouth, he wiped off the trails dripping down his chin.

’His blessing... seemed like I underestimated its power...’ He thought, narrowing his eyes at the short, bald-headed man standing calmly in the distance.
