Cucking The Demon King -
Chapter 30: Front row seats
Chapter 30: Front row seats
’It doesn’t matter... whether I get it now or later, none of it matters.’ Liam replied.
He wasn’t a human in the first place, and he didn’t feel any religious connection to the so called benevolent goddess worshipped in the kingdom.
After living a life filled with discrimination and bullying, all because he failed to awaken a blessing, a lot of questions started rising within him... doubts about the religion he was born into.
He felt like he was abandoned by the goddess, ignored despite praying to her countless times, even for just a common rank blessing.
But then, nothing happened... he didn’t even receive a response from her.
The last few years of his life were spent questioning everything around him.
Though he didn’t confide his thoughts in anyone, due to the fear of them being classified as blasphemy—which was honestly what they were.
He felt that everything around him was a sham, starting from the goddess herself, to the holy church, down to the religious fanatics who lived in the kingdom.
If the church were really as ’holy’ as they said, then why did they discriminate against those without blessings... acting like they were walking piles of shit.
He could still remember the piercing gazes of disgust the priests gave to him after he failed to awaken one, plunging his heart into sorrow.
’It’s all in the past...’ Liam mumbled, gnashing his teeth as he pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind.
He decided to focus on the present, or rather, on testing out his new skill.
’Tendrils of Darkness.’ He thought, stretching out his right hand.
He wasn’t sure if that was the correct way to utilise the skill, but he simply did what he felt was right.
Numerous wisps of black smoke suddenly appeared around his hand, rapidly growing thicker as they coiled around his arm.
Liam’s eyes widened in excitement, watching as the wisps merged with one another, growing even thicker and more defined.
They formed into pitch black tendrils, some a bit thicker than the rest, wriggling around his arm.
The way they moved made it seem like they had a life of their own, something which other people might find creepy.
However, nothing about it creeped out Liam. If anything, he was fascinated by their life-like motion.
He moved them around his hand, making the tendrils wrap around his fingers, and even using some to make weird shapes.
Rather than just a skill, it felt like they were an extension of his limbs!
No matter what he told them to do, even if it was subconsciously, they did in an instant.
’These tendrils... are amazing!’ He thought, watching as they wrapped around his hand like a glove.
[-200 Energy Points]
A notification suddenly flashed across his eyes, snapping him out of his daze.
’T-two hundred?! He thought, his jaws dropping in shock.
He was sure it hadn’t been up to two minutes since he activated the skill, yet over two hundred of his energy points were already deducted.
Compared to fireball, the energy consumption of tendrils of darkness was about four times higher!
However, he felt it made sense, given his powerful the ability was.
It was a skill that instantly adapted to its thoughts, so it would be very useful, especially in a fight.
Sure the way the dark tendrils wriggling like snakes might seem creepy to some, but he never cared about what anyone thought.
[-200 Energy points]
Another notification appeared before him, and he clicked his tongue in annoyance.
’Too bad... I can’t play around with them for too long...’ He thought, reluctantly deactivating the skill.
The tendrils around his arm immediately disintegrated into smoke, evaporating into nothingness.
After cancelling out the skill, he then spun the common spin nine more times, gaining even more stat points.
Though a part of him felt like purchasing another epic rank spin, he decided the ones he had spun today were already enough.
It was better he kept some of his lust points, just in case of any emergency.
’Host stats.’ He called out, curious about what his stats looked like now.
[Name: Liam Wilshere]
[Race: Divine Incubus]
[Level: 1]
[EXP: 0/20000]
[Health: 300/300]
[Energy: 2000/2000]
[Magic Power: 1500]
[Strength: 245]
[Agility: 250]
[Stamina: 700]
[Constitution: 1000]
[Charm: 1000]
[Intelligence: 400]
[Lust Points: 130000]
Liam’s eyes narrowed as he scanned through his stats.
His strength, agility and intelligence stats had risen a bit compared to before, and thought the difference wasn’t much, it was still something quite notable.
He could even feel it within himself... that he has gotten a bit stronger than he was before.
’Skills.’
[Skills]
[Charm Skills: Addictive touch(level 1), Silver Tongue(level 1), Lust pheromones(level 1), Dream weaver(level 1)]
[Ability Skills: Dash(level 1), Strength Boost(level 1), Super Jump(level 1)]
[Elemental Skills: Fireball(level 1), Tendrils of Darkness(level 1)]
Unlike his stats, the difference in his skills was more noticeable, as a whole new skill classification had been added to it.
’This is pretty nice... for a first day.’ He thought, letting out a low chuckle.
’Hey Lilith.’ He mumbled inwardly, resting an elbow on his thigh. ’How strong do you think I am... compared to the original demon lords?’
[How strong? A better way to put it... would be how weak are you, compared to the demon lords of sin.]
[Even a single wave from any of them could kill you within an instant.]
Lilith said, not holding back in the slightest at her evaluation.
Liam’s lips curled into a wry smile, and he exhaled.
From how Lilith described them, it was clear that they were terrifyingly powerful.
For them to be able to rule hell the for many years the way they did, it certainly required a great deal of power.
But despite all that, the demon king managed to defeat them—even if it was mainly due to trickery, proving that his power was even more terrifying.
’You’re right. I already knew that I’m nothing compared to them, but don’t worry.’ He thought, breaking out in a cheeky chuckle. ’I’ll get stronger for sure, more than enough to defeat the demon king.’
’The new demon lords... Lumeria... it’ll be a fun adventure for sure, and don’t worry, you’ll be getting front row seats.’
[I’m not... worried.]
Lilith said, but her voice was so low that Liam barely caught it.
