Cucking The Demon King
Chapter 100: A dark cave

Chapter 100: A dark cave

Rex barely had the strength to move. His body lay limp, the stinging humiliation of Jaegel’s words still fresh in his mind.

It felt like a mountain was pressed down on him, suffocating him even more than the lack of mana in his veins

His body was aching all over, too exhausted to even move.

However, the worst part of it all was the realisation that he would always remain a failure... no matter what he tried to do.

But still, he wanted to believe it was finally over—that the heretic had abandoned him to die here alone.

But the moment that thought crossed his mind, dark chains suddenly materialised around him.

Clank!

They slithered through the air like living creatures before latching onto his wrists, ankles, and torso.

They wrapped around him tightly, binding him to the ground with unforgiving strength.

His muscles strained against the hold, but the more he struggled, the tighter they became.

"Aghh—!!" He grunted as the cold metal dug into his flesh, sending sharp pain through his body.

The pressure was suffocating, constricting his chest as if trying to crush his ribs.

He clenched his teeth, trying to push through the pain, but it was too much. He was too weak.

From the darkness, Jaegel briefly glanced back at him.

His expression remained indifferent, but his thoughts were far from casual. He had no intention of letting Rex move freely again—not after what had recently happened.

The light explosion that Rex had unleashed earlier had been far stronger than Jaegel expected.

It might not have shown on his face, but deep down, the attack had shaken him.

Even though his blessing was supposed to be absolute, it wasn’t invincible.

The darkness could devour mana and absorb attacks, but even it had a limit. Rex’s explosion had almost pushed that limit.

Jaegel clicked his tongue. It was a rare thing for someone to actually damage his domain, even if it wasn’t enough to truly threaten him.

That meant Rex had the potential to be dangerous, and Jaegel wasn’t about to take any more risks.

"At least the problem’s solved now," He muttered, a quiet chuckle escaping his lips.

He remained hidden within the darkness, watching as Rex continued writhing in pain, his body helplessly bound by the chains.

The noble couldn’t see him—he had no idea where Jaegel was. He could only struggle, his bloodshot eyes flickering with helpless fury.

Then, suddenly—

A familiar face flashed in his mind.

A white-haired boy.

Rex’s pupils shrank as rage exploded within him. His body trembled, not from pain but from pure, seething hatred.

"This is all your fault," He mumbled, grinding his teeth.

’Liam... Wilshere...’ He thought.

If not for that bastard, he wouldn’t be in this situation. If not for him, none of this would have happened.

"Liam!! I’ll kill you!!" He roared, his voice echoing through the darkness.

The chains might have wrapped around his body, but they hadn’t silenced his mouth.

His voice rang out loud and clear, his rage giving him enough strength to scream his fury into the void.

Jaegel, still concealed in the shadows, let out an amused cackle. His long, thin tongue slithered across his lips as he observed the noble’s growing hatred.

"Looks like the chains are taking effect," He murmured, eyes gleaming with amusement.

He was enjoying the show, watching as Rex’s sanity began to crack.

The chains weren’t just physical, they were designed to bring out the deepest despair and hatred within their victims.

It was only natural that Rex would lash out at the one he despised the most.

’Liam Wilshere... who the hell is that though?’ He thought, but quickly shrugged it off his mind. ’Whatever, it doesn’t matter.’

But just as Jaegel was about to relish in his victory, a sudden chill ran down his spine.

His body stiffened, his smirk vanishing.

"They found me... that fast?" His gaze shifted, as though peering through the very fabric of the shadows, and expression darkened.

’Emma Silvagold.’ He mumbled inwardly.

There was no doubt in his mind—she was the reason they had tracked him down so quickly.

He should have known that girl would be a problem. She was talented, and most of all, she had a terrifying power.

His lips curled into a strange expression, a flicker of frustration flashing across his face before he suddenly burst into laughter.

"This is all for the best anyway," he said, his voice brimming with confidence.

It didn’t matter if they had found him. Whether it was now or later, the result would be the same.

The trap was already set.

At the end of the day, they would all suffer the same fate as Rex!

Meanwhile...

Liam’s sharp red eyes narrowed as he stood in front of a large cave.

The entrance loomed before him like a massive, open maw, its depths shrouded in an eerie darkness.

It was far larger than the one Emerald had teleported them into when they first arrived.

However, there was something off about this place.

The darkness inside wasn’t normal—it was unnatural, and the sun didn’t even reflect within it.

It radiated a suffocating presence, one that sent instinctive chills down the spine of anyone who dared to approach.

Liam wasn’t the only one who sensed it.

Beside him, Emma Silvagold stood, her eyes locked onto the cave with a cold, unyielding determination.

Floating beside her was Uti, the golden bug, his wings fluttering lightly as he scattered tiny golden dust particles into the air.

The glow of his dust barely reached the inside of the cave, swallowed almost immediately by the abyss within.

Lela and Cynthia stood nearby, both of them tense, their gazes filled with worry.

Even without enhanced senses, it was obvious—this place was a trap.

Liam clicked his tongue, his gaze flicking between the cave’s depths and the lingering presence inside.

There were two presences.

One of them was unmistakable—Rex. Though faint, his energy signature was still there, barely flickering through the suffocating darkness.

The other one...

Liam’s expression darkened. It was definitely a heretic’s presence.

Emma clenched her fists, her eyes burning with rage.

"So this is it," she murmured, her voice tight with suppressed emotion. "This is where that damned heretic is hiding."

Liam glanced at her, sensing the anger rolling off her in waves. It was understandable.

After all, this wasn’t just about rescuing Rex anymore. The fact that a heretic was involved changed everything.

A low wind blew past them, carrying the stench of corruption from within the cave.

Liam exhaled slowly.

They were running out of time.

If they wanted to save Rex and catch the heretic, they had to move now.
