Creating A Succubus Army In A Fantasy World! -
Chapter 47: Next!
Chapter 47: Next!
The moment the smoking rocks came hurtling toward them, Creed and the team sprang into action.
Their instincts screamed at them to move, and they barely managed to dodge just in time.
The deadly projectiles crashed into the forest floor and trees behind them, and what happened next made every single one of them freeze.
The rocks didn’t just hit—they ate through whatever they touched!
The ground sizzled violently as deep holes formed, and the thick tree trunks, some as wide as houses, began melting where the rocks had struck.
A pungent, acrid smell filled the air, and an eerie hissing sound echoed through the dim forest.
Creed, still crouched from his dodge, narrowed his eyes as he straightened.
’Holy shit. Those things are corrosive?’
He flexed his legs slightly, feeling the surge of speed from his recent breakthrough.
His agility had improved so much that dodging had felt effortless—almost like his body knew where to move before his mind even caught up.
That was good. He was going to need that.
Then came the sound.
A series of deep, guttural grunts echoed through the trees, followed by the rustling of leaves and the unmistakable sound of something—or several somethings—charging toward them.
Creed’s eyes snapped toward the source. His jaw nearly dropped.
Monkeys.
About two dozen monkeys!
But these weren’t normal monkeys. They were lean and slender, their long limbs packed with wiry muscle.
Their fur was a deep midnight black, making them blend perfectly with the dim forest, but the most striking thing about them was their tails.
Each one glowed with a faint silver light, illuminating the darkness around them like eerie, floating lanterns.
Their faces were twisted into expressions of pure fury, their sharp, bared fangs glistening with saliva as they bounded toward the group.
"Okay, so, uh, those things look way too pissed off!" Mia yelped.
Then, right in front of their eyes, one of the monkeys dipped its hand into its own behind and pulled out another of the smoking white rocks!
Silence.
For just a second.
Then—
"OH, HELL NO!" Mia screeched. "THAT’S SHIT! THEY’RE THROWING ACTUAL BALLS OF SHIT AT US! I REFUSE TO DIE LIKE THIS!"
Creed’s brain momentarily short-circuited.
The corrosive, tree-melting, ground-burning rocks were monkey feces?!
He didn’t have time to dwell on the sheer horror of that revelation because the monkeys were already launching another volley.
This time, the projectiles shot toward them at double the speed!
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Creed’s body reacted before he could think. He twisted sharply to the side, his enhanced agility kicking in again as he barely avoided one of the white-hot fecal missiles.
His mind was in chaos. ’I need to avoid these at all costs. If I get hit, I’m not sure if I should be more worried about the corrosion or the sheer psychological damage!’
The others dodged as well, but something became immediately clear; the monkeys weren’t just throwing randomly.
They were aiming to push them toward the trees!
The rocks were thrown in a way that forced the team to swerve or jump, forcing them dangerously close to the towering trunks that they absolutely could not touch for more than a second!
This proved that they weren’t just mindless beasts.
They were smart.
Creed’s eyes flicked toward the biggest monkey of them all—a massive, scarred beast standing at nearly five feet tall.
Its silver tail glowed brighter than the others, and the moment Creed locked eyes with it, it let out an earth-shaking roar and pounced straight at Ivy!
"Leader’s mine!" Ivy snapped, raising her red scythe to meet it mid-air.
Bam!
The moment the leader moved, the rest of the monkeys exploded into action.
The remaining two dozen howled as they launched themselves toward the group, their clawed hands stretched wide, their glowing tails flickering menacingly in the dim light.
Rin and Rai, the twin swordsmen, moved as one.
Shing!
Their machetes flashed with deadly precision, their Stage 2 Blade Intent surging outward like a deadly ripple.
Their movements were seamless—when Rin slashed, Rai followed up with an immediate thrust, and when Rai spun to parry, Rin stepped in to finish off their opponent!
It was like watching a deadly dance unfold in the middle of the chaos.
Mia, despite her very justified disgust over the situation, excelled in this kind of environment.
Her Nature Talent was significantly boosted inside the dense forest, and she wasted no time using it to her advantage.
With a sharp flick of her fingers, thick, thorn-covered roots erupted from the ground, wrapping around several monkeys and holding them in place.
Then, with a small smirk, she activated another technique—the tips of the roots sharpened into deadly spears!
Puchi! Puchi! Puchi! Puchi!
In the next instant, they drilled into the monkeys’ vitals, piercing through fur and flesh with horrifying efficiency.
Creed took a deep breath.
This was it.
His turn.
He clenched his purple spear and, without hesitation, summoned both of his summons.
A surge of energy rippled through the air as two flashes of light appeared beside him.
On his left, Lilith materialized in a crackle of purple lightning, her arms crossed and her violet eyes gleaming with excitement.
On his right, Tierra emerged in a silent ripple of grey, her calm, piercing gaze locking onto the battlefield instantly.
For a moment, there was silence. Then, they turned to stare at each other. A tense, silent staredown.
Creed felt a migraine forming. ’Not now. Please, not now!’
"Ladies," he said, trying to keep his tone very neutral, "kill the monkeys."
That, at least, they could agree on.
Lilith’s wings spread wide as she vanished in a bolt of lightning, reappearing in the middle of a cluster of monkeys.
With a delighted laugh, she drove her fists through the nearest one, stage 1 lightning intent crackling through its body as it convulsed violently before going limp.
Tierra, on the other hand, was a blur. One moment, she was beside Creed—the next, she was behind an enemy, her sharp fingers slicing through its neck before disappearing again.
They weren’t just powerful. They were monstrous!
And Creed?
He tightened his grip on his spear, his heart pounding as he activated Primordial Link.
Power surged through his veins. The battle had truly begun!
The moment Creed activated Primordial Link, the air around him crackled with raw energy.
Purple lightning burst from his body, snaking around his limbs like a living storm, illuminating the dark forest with an eerie glow.
The sudden surge of power made his muscles tighten, his senses sharpen, and his instincts scream for battle. But he wasn’t done yet.
He focused. A deep breath.
Stage 1 Lightning Intent—Activate!
BOOM!
The lightning around him flared violently, growing in intensity until it felt like the very air trembled under its force.
The ground beneath his feet sizzled, tiny sparks dancing across the damp soil.
His spear vibrated in his grip, humming with raw energy as streaks of purple surged along its length.
A grin stretched across Creed’s face. ’Now that’s more like it!’
The effort he had put into comprehending Intent was paying off. His lightning wasn’t just wild energy anymore—it was refined, sharper, deadlier.
Every strand of electricity carried a lethal will, a force that could rip through his enemies with precision instead of reckless destruction.
And he was about to put it to the test.
His gaze locked onto a peak stage 1 monkey, one of the weakest monkeys among the already strong bunch.
It was less bigger than the others, standing at barely three feet tall, its silver tail glowing dimmer than the rest.
Its eyes were filled with blind rage like the others—as if Creed was the one who murdered it’s mother!
Then, without warning, it moved.
Whoosh!
A blur of black fur shot toward the trees. With a powerful leap, the monkey bounded onto a thick branch and vanished into the darkness.
Creed’s pupils shrank. Fast!
A sudden, sharp whistling sound from above—
He jumped backward just as a smoking white rock slammed into the spot where he had stood, the ground instantly melting under its corrosive power.
That sneaky little bastard!
Creed had barely regained his footing when another projectile came flying from a different angle.
He twisted his body to the side, narrowly dodging, but before he could counterattack—
WHIP!
The monkey’s glowing silver tail lashed out from the shadows, striking toward his head like a whip!
Creed reacted just in time, raising his spear horizontally to block—
CRACK!
The force sent him skidding backward, his arms numbing from the impact. The monkey didn’t let up.
It bounced off the tree trunk, propelling itself toward him with a spinning kick aimed straight at his chest!
Creed gritted his teeth. The monkey was fast and relentless. A truly annoying combination.
Bam!
He slammed his foot down, utilizing his full Stage 1 Physical Strength and further reinforcing his body with Aura.
His muscles tensed as he raised his spear—
CLASH!
The monkey’s foot met the shaft of his weapon, but this time, Creed didn’t just block—he pushed back! The monkey was forced into the air, momentarily exposed.
His chance.
Lightning surged through his spear. His grip tightened. His Stage 1 Spear Intent flared—
"TAKE MY THRUST!" Creed roared, lunging forward!
The tip of his spear shot toward the monkey’s exposed chest, cutting through the air like a bolt of destruction—
But the monkey twisted mid-air, its tail whipping around and deflecting the spear at the last second!
Creed’s eyes widened.
’Damn, that was close!’
The monkey landed on a tree trunk and immediately launched another corrosive rock at him.
Creed dodged, but instead of chasing, he took a different approach.
He inhaled sharply, calming his mind.
He had been fighting reactively, letting the monkey dictate the flow of battle. That wasn’t going to work.
He needed to take control!
Focusing his aura, Creed infused it into his legs, boosting his movements. Then, he activated Teleportation!
A flicker—
And he vanished.
The monkey’s eyes widened in shock as Creed reappeared in the air, above it!
It didn’t get a chance to dodge.
Creed brought his spear down in a devastating overhead strike, the weapon crackling with amplified Stage 1 Lightning Intent—
BOOM!
The attack connected!
Lightning exploded on impact, sending the monkey hurtling toward the ground in a blur of charred fur and sizzling flesh.
Creed didn’t let it recover.
He shot downward like a lightning bolt, his spear trailing destruction behind him.
The monkey barely rolled away in time, but it was injured. Its movements weren’t as sharp anymore.
Creed grinned. ’You’re mine now!’
He rushed forward, his spear a blur of attacks—thrusts, sweeps, lightning-infused slashes.
The monkey fought back, using its agility and tail to deflect as much as it could, but it was losing ground and blood.
Another strike—parried!
The monkey spun, attempting a counterattack—
Creed saw it coming. He let it get close. Then, at the last second—
Teleportation!
He flickered out of existence and reappeared right behind the monkey.
Before it could react, he drove his spear straight through its back!
SHRRK!
The monkey let out a strangled screech as lightning surged through its body. Its limbs twitched, its tail spasming violently—before finally, it collapsed.
Dead.
Creed exhaled sharply, feeling the energy drain from his body.
Holy shit.
That was way harder than he thought it would be.
But he did it!
He had just killed a peak stage 1 beast—while still being low stage 1!
And then a sudden warmth spread through his body.
[You have received 0.5 Speed Stat Points!]
[You have received 1.5 Speed Stat Points!]
Creed blinked. Oh?
He quickly turned his head, spotting Lilith standing over two dead monkeys, her fingers crackling with residual lightning. She looked smug.
A short distance away, Tierra was stepping over the corpse of another monkey, her cold expression unwavering.
Creed felt a rush of excitement. His speed stat would finally increase and catch up to his strength stat!
A grin stretched across his face. His gaze snapped toward the remaining group of monkeys.
He tightened his grip on his spear.
"Next!," he muttered, charging forward.
