’’Yes,’’ the man smiled like a gentleman, ’’My father is the CEO of Turner Industries.’’

Diana fell silent.

At this point, she had no doubts left that this family dinner was just a scam to set her up for a blind date. Was it her mother’s idea? Or her father’s?

While Diana was stuck in the situation with her blind date, she did not notice a pair of eyes that had been fixated on her since the moment she stepped inside the restaurant.

Daisy was disgusted but she sat still. It was still a good thing that the man was not pestering her about tracking ’Daisy’ down.

That would have been way more troublesome.

’’So, in the future, are you planning to work in your father’s company?" Diana’s blind date continued the conversation, apparently not noticing her obvious disinterest.

’’No.’’

’’Then what do you want to do?"

’’Write books and publish them.’’

Noah frowned, ’’Why would you do something like that? Do you even need to do such petty jobs with your identity? After we marry, I’d prefer you stay at home and take care of our children in the future.’’

’’Cough...’’ Diana choked on her wine. She placed the wine glass down on the table, coughing harder as she splattered the wine in her mouth on her plate in the process.

She pressed her palm on her mouth and broke into coughing fits, her face turning red.

Noah looked around before glancing back at Diana, his gaze filled with displeasure, ’’You...’’

Diana was about to stand up when she felt soft taps on her back as a white handkerchief greeted her vision.

’’Tha...cough... thanks,’’ she grabbed the handkerchief and wiped her lips and chin, ’’Thank you,’’ Diana panted softly once she calmed down.

’’Have some water.’’

A familiar voice greeted her ears.
