Maxim pushed the mini muffin inside her mouth and it melted on her tongue like butter. She could not help but close her eyes to relish the taste. They had barely been in the kitchen for half an hour yet Maxim seemed to have prepared a whole mini feast in the name of a simple breakfast.

Diana felt like... Maxim was unparalleled.

When she looked at him, he was glancing at her innocently as he spoke up, ’’I wanted to wake you up but you would not stop clinging to me. You sniffed me, touched me, pinned me, pinched me, and took a feel of my whole body while sleeping. You...’’

Diana pressed her palm on his mouth, her face was darker than the bottom of a pot. She... How could she be so inhumane?

Diana snapped out of her daze and tilted her head to look at him.

Maxim smiled, ’’What’s wrong?"

As she glanced at the beautiful smile on his face, Diana felt butterflies in her stomach.

Her eyes widened and she pushed herself to her feet, taking a step back from him. Her eyes widened, ’’You...’’

The smile on his face disappeared. Maxim was truly concerned about her at this point.

’’I... I will go back,’’ she said, composing herself. Diana patted her chest mentally. His beauty was dangerous.

As she turned to leave, he grabbed her hand.

She stopped in her tracks and glanced at him questioningly.

’’Are you leaving like that?" he raised an eyebrow.

’’Like what?" she followed his line of sight and glanced at herself, only to realize that she was just wearing his shirt.

Diana was startled as she blushed slightly, ’’Oh, where is the dress I wore yesterday?"

Maxim pushed himself to his feet and dragged her towards the walk-in closet. Diana was confused but she followed him. As he stepped inside, he pushed his shirt to the side. It was only then did Diana realize that there was another partition behind it and there were rows of dresses arranged meticulously. All of them seemed to be in her size as well.

Since he told her that he never brought any woman here, she assumed these clothes were probably brand new.

’’You never took them after I brought them that day.’’

Diana remembered that after she met Daisy at the airport, she forgot about Maxim that night, let alone the clothes he got for her.

She felt a little guilty under his accusing stare.

’’I... I will take them with me. Do you have a suitcase...?"

’’No, I will keep them here for you,’’ he interrupted her.

’’I am going to work. Since you had intended to take two days off initially, just take a rest at home,’’ Maxim ruffled her hair and walked out of the room.

Only when he was gone did she come back to her senses. She snapped, ’’What did I tell you about not messing my hair?!" Diana looked at her reflection in the mirror and quickly fixed her hair.

It was unknown whether he heard her or not, but there was no reply.

Diana sulked.

Why did she feel like she was being treated like a cat?

Lost in her thoughts, she did not realize that she had forgotten about the matter that had been bothering her before Maxim came. How to deal with her Daisy?

Daisy’s sleep clock was always on point. She woke up at sharp 6 am.

Sitting up on the bed, she stretched her body before making a pillow barrier around Angel. She freshened up first before rolling her long dark hair in the ash blonde wig. After getting changed out of Diana’s nightdress, she unlocked the door and walked out of the room.

The ticking sound of the laptop in the living room made her halt in her tracks.

Daisy turned to look at Ivy who was sitting on the couch with the laptop on her lap. She blinked.

Perhaps noticing her presence, Ivy stopped typing and glanced at her, ’’Oh, Dex, you are up!’’ she beamed.

Daisy’s lips twitched. It was strange how this girl could be so energetic all the time, ’’Haven’t you gone to bed yet?"
