Chapter 131. I want my son!
Chapter 131: 131. I want my son!
"Well, well, well. Look who decided to come pay her dear aunt a visit."
Just staring at her right now is causing an extreme amount of rage to rise inside of me. Going after me wasn’t enough, now she’s going after a three year old. How can someone be so wicked?
"How does it feel to see me seated here, chained to this table like an ordinary criminal?" I have no time to listen to her mindless talks and I don’t intend to listen to it either.
"I’ll go straight to the point, aunt Evelyn. Where is my son?"
A boisterous laugh echoes throughout the room. Her head is slung backward, her eyes are shit close and her mouth is open wide with laughter.
Her entire body shivers as she laughs and laughs as though she has been affected by a laughing gas and can’t control her own laughter.
"Hahaha, oh my goodness." Her laughter quickly begins to quell, "Last I remember, you’re barren. Did you have a child before going barren?" She says and laughs even harder.
"I’m going to ask you one last time, where is my son?"
"Have you probably gone mad? I have no idea what you are talking about. Your son? Do you have a son? And if you do, what could I possibly want with him?"
I don’t have time to waste, without saying another word, I pull out my phone, "Hello, Yes, start." I say and switch the call to video call.
When the face appears on the screen, I turn the phone around so aunt Evelyn can see.
The reaction I wanted is the reaction I’m getting. Her eyes are growing wider, her body is no longer shivering from laughter but from fear and I know now, I’ve got her attention.
"Mom!!" Alicia calls out from the other end of the phone.
"A_Alicia?! Is that you?!" Aunt Evelyn is asking as she stared at the live video of her daughter in the transit bus to the prison.
"Mom! Mom!! I got fourteen years in prison! What do we do now? Fourteen years!! I’m being transported now, but these officers are acting weird! Do they usually point guns at the prisoners?! I’m scared mom."
After ending my call with Fredrick earlier, I had called him back to help me with one more thing. I needed his connections for just one more thing.
To threaten Aunt Evelyn, I knew I needed to use Alicia well so I asked that he use his connections for me a little further and this is the result.
"Champagne!!" Aunt Evelyn screams and bangs her hands on the steel table, glaring at me like I’m some villain from a movie."What the hell do you think you’re doing!" She’s screaming and vibrating as though if not for the cuffs holding her to the table, she would have launched at me with all her claws out.
"This is fake isn’t it?" She asks and I snigger. "You think I won’t know that? You think I will fall for this?! A lot of AI can do this now. Besides, Alicia should still be in court by now. I know you don’t have the heart to do—"
"Really? AI? Don’t have the heart? You seem to forget that I’m your blood too." I say with a maniacal laugh "Shoot her!" I yell and without a seconds delay the loud bang echoes out of the speakers of my phone and what follows is an endless cry from Alicia.
Under normal circumstances and the goodness of my heart, I would never be able to give such an order but right now, I’m not in the right state of mind. All I want now is for that boy to return home safely. I don’t care whatever means I use.
"Ahhhh!" Aunt Evelyn screams. "Alicia!! Champagne! How dare you!!" She screams. "Champagne you—"
"Aunt Evelyn!" I scream back like a person who’s lost all sense of right and wrong. "That one was her right leg, the next will be her left leg, then her arms will go one after the other until there is nowhere left to shoot but her very big useless head!!"
She’s puffing, she’s swelling like dough left to rise and her eyes are red with anger and fear but I don’t care. I want my boy back.
"Champagne!"
"Evelyn! Where is my son!!"
"Mom!! What is going on?" Alicia is screaming in tears while holding on to her leg. "What did you do! Oh mom I feel faint! I’m dying! Just give her what she wants.
"No. No Champagne, you’re a good Christian girl. You don’t have the heart to do this! This must be the work of an AI." She insists. And a laugh leaves my mouth as I wonder how people think it’s alright to hurt others just because of their religion.
How can she think it’s fine to make me hurt just because I’m a Christian? Do they think being a Christian naturally takes away your ability to be hurt? Do they think it takes away your ability to go mad with anger when someone not only touches but endangers what belongs to you?!
Do they think because a person is a Christian, they’d naturally take whatever is thrown their way and just stand by and watch the person they love hurting?
"Ah, I see. Then the AI should put more holes into your daughter." I shrug.
"No_no_no!! Mom!! Are you crazy! Do I look like a freaking AI to you! I’m losing so much blood." Alicia is going crazy seeing all that blood coming out of her. "Oh mom, what will happen to me now? Being in prison is one thing, will I be a crippled prisoner? I don’t want to be crippled and I don’t want to die so just give the bitch what she wants!!"
"You heard that aunty? Just give the bitch what she wants!" I repeat Alicia’s words with a crazy smile on my face. "I want my son!! Give me back my son!" I scream and bang my hand on the table with every word that leaves my mouth.
"No?" I shake my head and ask. "Fine then." I say, "Lose the other leg." I order and another bang goes into the air.
"Ahhhh! Oh!! Ohhhh!! My leg!! Ahhh." Alicia is screaming, "Mom what the heck is wrong with you!! Give her what she wants!"
"Still No?" I ask and shrug, "Fine then, shoot her in the—"
"Stop!!! Champagne!! You damn bitch!!"
"Yes! Aunt Evelyn!" I say, waiting for her to give me the response I want.
"Why the heck are you doing this?! How dare you!" The nerve of her to ask me why I’m doing this! The nerve of her to ask me how dare I!
"Seems you still don’t have the information I want. I’d rather just—"
"Stop! I’ll tell you." She says with her hands up in defeat.
"Tell me." I say impatiently as her eyes move from my phone that is still showing a live video of Alicia and then she looks at me with angry eyes.
"I’m waiting aunt Evelyn. Tell me where my son is."
"And you’ll take my Alicia to the hospital?" She asks.
"If you want her to make it to the hospital in time, then you better make sure I get to my son in time. Because she will remain in that bus, bleeding unless I find my boy safe and whole."
"Are you still thinking about it? Then—"
"PalmVille!" She screams. "He’s at PalmVille Building 26 apartment 104. I told them to hold him there until I gave further instructions."
"And how were you giving the instructions?"
"Answer me!"
"Through Michael Blaine."
I pick my phone up and without another word, I walk towards the door but then I halt and turn around to face her. "Just stay in here and await trial, but know one thing, you will never see the light outside a prison again. This I promise you. And the next time you pull a stunt like this again, not just her legs, and I won’t order someone else to do it, I’ll personally pull the trigger that will end the life of your precious Alicia."
With those words, I step out of the room and Duke’s call is coming in at the same time.
"Hello—"
"My God, Champagne what the hell am I hearing! Where the heck are you?! Why—"
"Duke, PalmVille. They took him to PalmVille and—"
"How do you know that? We tracked the cars the kidnappers went into PalmVille. I’m there right now and trying to locate the—"
"He’s being held in Building 26, apartment 104. I think it’s an apartment complex..."
"Pagne, where are you?"
"I’m on my way there too, so just get there in time. Building 26 apartment 104. Please Duke, listen to me."
"Alright, just be careful."
"You too." I say and end the call.
Oh how scared Shelly must be right now.
