Chronicles Of The Academy's Strongest Professor
Chapter 23: Lavender Academy [3]

Chapter 23: Lavender Academy [3]

"I suppose this is the most they could do."

Arthur sat in the classroom, a hand on his head as he stared at the stack of neatly arranged papers.

There were two hours before his class in the assassin department, and while he was free he decided to go through the tests.

A quick glance was more than enough to tell him that the questions were too hard for students of their level.

He had mixed the questions.

From 1 to 6 were

"The questions I gave them weren’t even hard."

He had asked them to draw the mana circuits required for five basic-ranked spell ranked spells, and one common beginner-ranked spells.

Those were the only questions all of the class had answered.

But from question seven to question ten....

Out of thirty students, five chose not to answer the questions.

Twenty had attempted and had failed woefully. Utter failure.

The worst part being that the majority of them had completely gone off track from what he had given them.

The remaining five did better.

"Ezra, Celestine, Lucas and Yvette."

The last one hadn’t done well enough to get his attention.

The surprising part of it was that Lucas Wycliffe, the boy who was ranked at the lower parts of the class was among the students that had caught his interest.

"Maybe I shouldn’t have ranked them based on their mana capacity?"

He wondered.

"No, it was probably for the best."

Ranking them on their strongest spell was wrong considering that nobles would have an advantage over them.

"And even then, this test also helped me."

Yvette’s script was by far the roughest of them all, but then again, her answers were the broadest.

Celestine’s script was neater, and her answers her polished. Unlike Yvette, her final answers were clear and short.

Even if she wasn’t this good, Arthur would make sure to watch over her.

Lucas’ script was okay.

And,

From what Arthur could see from Ezra’s script, it was clear that the boy scribbled anything that came to mind.

"Now that I think about it, in one of the routes he mentions that he’s closer to nature than most."

From Carter’s memories it was clear that he was referencing to mana.

It was in a game route that he died prior to making that statement, as his words were only meant to tell the player that he would all right without his help.

"It was mostly perceived as a bluff."

But from seeing his answers, it could be true.

’Closer to nature than most’.

"I’ll mark him under top priority."

The person that he would dedicate the most attention to, even more than his sister.

In the absence of the player character, the only person that would have any reason to kill Arthur was him.

He would make sure Ezra had no reason to kill him.

"And maybe even teach him some of my forbidden magic...."

That would only be done if he saw no other way.

As the top academy in the empire, and with characters that the survival of the world depended on, it was only natural that it would be attacked.

The headmaster had told them that as the top academy in the empire, their safety would be assured.

She was lying to them, and the worst part was that even she didn’t know that.

There were some attacks on the academy in the game.... No, the world in which he lived in. And, there were some internal struggles caused by some students that threatened to destroy the image of the empire’s top academy.

It was designed like this so the player character and the main characters could grow.

’In the end it’s just convenient that cultists attack the academy, allowing the important people to grow and become stronger.’

Arthur let out a sigh.

He carried the stack of paper with him as he left the classroom, closing the door behind him as he left.

He was surrounded by students shuffling around, trying to head towards their next classes.

’An hour should have passed by now.’

Reviewing their scripts took that much time.

’Should I observe the professor’s again?’

He mused.

In the end he decided not to, not only could he be doing something better instead of that, but the students wouldn’t appreciate his presence as well.

First years were still new in this environment, they hadn’t interacted enough with their upperclassmen to begin hearing the rumors about him.

It was only a matter of time before they came to fear him.

And then, everyone would act the same way with him – or at least, most of them would act the same way with him.

They would fear him.

And to be honest, it wasn’t that bad.

Arthur walked in the direction of the other classroom, specifically, the one for the students who had awakened the assassin class.

The assassin class was a physical class. Unlike mages that were required magic circuits to attack, they relied solely on their physical abilities.

They weren’t able to actively use mana. The mana that their body contained strengthened them, but it couldn’t be used without a certain technique....

[Enhancement]

It was a technique that allowed the user to imbue mana into their attacks.

It was the first technique physical classes learned.

A technique that brought out the mana in the human body in its most basic form.

If it was applied to a moving fist it wouldn’t do anything flashy, the fist would only hit harder due to the power behind it being amplified.

As Lavender Academy was among the most prestigious, it was only normal that all the students would be able use [Enhancement].

’I suppose the first thing they need to do is increase their stamina.’

Arthur already had most of their curriculum planned out.

Increasing their stamina came first.

After that was their weapon handling.

The last would be the use of enhancement.

Every part of what he had prepared for them was vital for every assassin.

"Now, all that’s left is for the class to start."

He sat down.

With nothing to do to pass the time, Arthur simply tapped on the desk rhythmically.
