Cheat God
15. News spread

The ruins of the ancient city lay in silence once more. The cries of battle, the roars of beasts, and the screams of dying cultivators had long faded—replaced by a heavy, unnatural quiet.

Above the city, dozens of ancient cultivators hovered in the air, their auras vast enough to pressure the heavens. Their divine senses stretched across every inch of the land, reaching deep into stone, shadow, and bone. But what they found was… Nothing.

One elder’s brows tightened. His beard fluttered slightly as ghost aura brushed past him.

“I can feel it… a lingering trace. But it’s ancient. Unfamiliar.”

Another narrowed his eyes. “No ordinary ghost cultivator could summon this kind of presence. This is… something older.”

Someone finally said the name they were all thinking.

“The Ghost Clan.”

A quiet ripple ran through the crowd.

“They were gone” one elder argued. “immortal world is no longer home of ghost clan?”

Another shook his head. “So the history books claim. But the presence here—it’s real. It was true."

Though their sects, clans, and kingdoms all had different beliefs, they all agreed on one thing. This wasn’t just a rogue treasure or dark technique. This was something primordial.

The Ghost Clan had once ruled from the deepest shadows. They were part of the feared Underworld Tribes—alongside the Yaksha, Shura, and Night-walker clans and many more. They were born from darkness and shaped by death.

Where the Yaksha mastered fear and domination, and the Shura danced through battle with blades of pure shadow, the Ghost Clan had also one of them with Soul manipulation. Curse arts. Shadow sealing. And above all, their specialty: Assassination.

They could slip into a fortress unseen, erase a king without a sound, and vanish into the void before sunrise. Their elite assassins—known as Ghost Threads—were so feared that even Emperors had offered sacrifices to avoid their attention. But they had vanished long ago. Their legacy buried. Their bloodlines erased from immortal world long ago. They only exist in Dark world where all the underworld clans live.

At least… that was what everyone believed. Until now. But because of this incident, new about ghost clan members will spread in every corner of immortal world.

Below, the shattered ground gave off a faint gray mist. Even with high-tier spirit sense, none of the elders could sense the Ghost Eye or the hidden tomb Liu Chen had entered.

“The pulse is gone,” said a cultivator from the Star Pavilion. “It disappeared as if it never existed.”

“Someone sealed it,” another muttered grimly.

“But who? And how?” asked a younger elder. “Even Lord Realm experts wouldn’t dare meddle with Ghost Clan remnants.”

And slowly, one by one, the ancient cultivators left the city. Some brought their disciples. Others flew alone.

Because there was someone who had done it. And he was already leaving. Liu Chen walked calmly away from the ruin, the hem of his robe brushing across ash-covered stone. Behind him, the Yin-Yang Elders followed like silent shadows—untouchable and cold.

No one blocked his path. No one dared ask questions. His spiritual pressure was completely clean. No ghost energy. No lingering resentment. No trace of soul fluctuation.

But even that frightened them more. To survive something like that—and walk away clean—was not the mark of an ordinary genius.

Cai Lin hurried beside him, escorted by two high-level cultivators from her clan. She glanced sideways, brows furrowed slightly.

“Let's go to the clan and refine Ghost eye. Then after i will try to gain something from bone piece."

Liu chen make his mind for his next chapter.

...

Liu Chen boarded a cloud ship belonging to the Liu Clan. It glided silently through the skies, high above broken mountains and shattered forests. Inside, the lighting was soft, and the air carried a faint spiritual fragrance to ease mental fatigue.

But Liu Chen didn’t rest. He sat alone in a quiet room, legs crossed, the golden plate resting on the table before him. Inside it, the sealed Ghost Eye pulsed gently—like a heartbeat made of black mist.

More than that… something else pulsed too.

The bone.

The strange chest bone he had picked up from the tomb now radiated with a dim, silver-black  glow. The runes on it had changed. They were decoding themselves—slowly, like they recognized his presence.

A sound, almost like a whisper, echoed in his mind.

> “Abyss… born…”

> “Wielder… of the Eye…”

> “Soul… shall become… blade…”

Liu Chen opened his eyes. He reached forward and held the bone gently.

“Is this the price of legacy?” he whispered. “Or the key to something more?”

A ripple passed through his soul sea. Something slumbering stirred faintly. It seems like because of ghost eye, some seals upon chest bone has already begun to loose. But there is still some resistant inside the bone piece. It is also a hint that of he want to access this unknown treasure piece, he has to refine Ghost eye. But this is not the right place to cultivate. He has to go Jade Spiritual Nectar, a secret place to cultivate for Liu Clan. It was specially made a pond for him, young master of Ancient Liu Clan by Jade Nectar.

It can increase cultivation speed many times, refine body and purifying spiritual energy when cultivating inside.
