Chapter 538: Do you still love him?

Gavin and Jenny forgot the count of time and kept kissing each other until they ran out of breath.

Gavin was the first to stop when he sensed the struggle in Jenny’s behavior.

With his eyes unwaveringly staring at Jenny’s flustered face, Gavin suddenly felt the urge to kiss her back again, however, he stopped.

’One step at a time’ he reminded himself before cupping her face.

Jenny was still stuck in the bubble of that intimate moment, suddenly snapped when the feeling of his thumb gently tracing her cheeks brought her back to reality.

Slowly opening her eyes, Jenny looked at Gavin and blushed even more. It was unexpected to see her feel this way.

She kissed the man with whom she was in a fake relationship. Shouldn’t she consider it as a fleeting feeling, then why did she enjoy every bit of the kiss?

Jenny was confused about what she was feeling at that moment when she heard Gavin say.

"I think you should rest. It’s late and I should head back home"

Gavin was trying to escape as he couldn’t stand his desire to keep kissing her. Just one touch and he was already craving for more. Her kiss knocked all his senses and before he found it difficult to handle his needs, Gavin decided to leave as soon as possible.

Jenny’s heart was saddened when he said those words. She didn’t want him to leave yet, not when she started to enjoy his company.

She knew it was late in the night and he had to return home, but couldn’t he stay?

Gavin watched her turn quiet and he decided to leave when Jenny grabbed his wrist and said.

"Can’t you stay tonight? I am scared?" Gavin turned around. His eyes widen in shock however when they meet Jenny’s pleasing one, he couldn’t bring himself to take a step ahead and agreed eventually agreed.

Jenny smiled and slowly dragged him to their bed where she first climbed on and then asked him to join her.

Gavin was skeptical, however, did restrain. If Jenny wanted him to stay then who was he to decline?

This was the very first time Jenny expressed her wish and there was no way he would ignore her.

As they lay on the bed with their pillow wall lined between their frame, both Jenny and Gavin stared at the ceiling unblinkingly.

They were nervous, however, they both tried to act normal, making sure the effect of the kiss wouldn’t make things awkward between them.

"Are you comfortable?" Jenny initiated the conversation

The bed they were sleeping on was small irrespective of the size of the two people who were occupying it. And not to forget the pillow wall was making things difficult for them.

"No, I am fine. What about you? Are you still not getting sleep?" Gavin asked turning his head to her side.

Sensing his stare, Jenny too turned around and faced him.

"I can’t," she said helplessly.

Gavin changed his sleeping position and faced her. "Is it because of me? If that’s the case then I will leave" Gavin suggested ready to get up from the bed, however, Jenny stopped him.

"No, please don’t go" she begged and watched him sleep back again.

Gavin could see something was bothering Jenny, so he decided to inquire.

"Are you still thinking about your stalker?" he asked and watched Jenny look down before she lightly nodded her head.

"Don’t worry I am there with you. He won’t be able to even touch the strand of your hair" Gavin promised in determination.

There was no way after today’s encounter, he would let Jenny alone. Her safety was his priority and there was nothing to compromise.

Jenny found his words touching enough to bring a smile to her face. "I know and that gives me relief"

As the couple lay facing each other, their eyes conveyed emotions of their hearts, and before they knew it, both Jenny and Gavin found themselves kissing again.

Flipping Jenny on the bed, Gavin hovered over her with her hands pressed on the bed and continued kissing her.

Jenny didn’t refrain as she started getting accustomed to the way Gavin was making her feel. She liked the way he was being gentle with her.

Gavin wanted to assure her that there was nothing to worry about when he was around. No one was allowed to harm her or else that person would end up facing hell on earth.

Gavin wasn’t a violent person, to begin with, but protecting the woman he was in love with made him strong enough to fight the world for her safety.

As they ran out of breath, Gavin pulled back and caressed Jenny’s face.

"Gavin" his hand stopped and Gavin watched Jenny slowly open her eyes.

Tears polled in her orbs as she stared at him anxiously.

"Do you think I am doing right?" she suddenly asked confusing Gavin for a moment.

The unshed tears rolled down her eyes and she closed her eyes, crying silently.

Gavin panicked watching her weep and that made him wonder if was it the kiss that made her cry.

"What do you mean?" he asked out of fear.

Gavin didn’t realize his request would make her feel emotional, but then he heard something that took him by surprise.

"I don’t want to betray him, but you... you are changing my mind" As soon as those words left Jenny’s mouth, she started crying heavily.

Gavin’s hand retreated from her face and he pulled himself back, watching Jenny cover her face.

"Did you still love him?" Gavin asked. His eyes expectantly looked at Jenny as she suddenly stopped crying and uncovered her face.

She was astonished to hear those words from him, however as the time passed by, she couldn’t bring herself to answer him and that silence broke Gavin’s heart.

A glimpse of hurt crossed his eyes with Gavin fully retreating from her. Returning to his side of the bed, Gavin lay silent.
