Chapter 537: Can I kiss you

It was late in the evening when Jenny finished her work and left the hospital.

It was a tiring day, however chatting with Gavin washed away the fatigue of her busy schedule and now she couldn’t wait to reach her dorm and again call him.

With a pleasant smile lingering on her face, Jenny headed to their dormitory which was just a street away from the hospital. However, on her way in the dense street, she sensed an unexpected thing when something caught her attention and Jenny stopped.

It was the sound of someone’s footsteps that seemed to follow her in under the street light.

It was late at night with barely anyone present on the road. So when she heard the sound of the footsteps tailing her, she instantly stopped only to see a shadow behind her.

Clutching onto her lap coat Jenny gulped. It was rare for someone to get robbed on this street, however, she couldn’t assume anything as there is nothing permanent.

Closing her eyes Jenny took a moment to gather her courage and slowly turned her neck to peek over her shoulder.

"... "

Her eyes widened in shock when she didn’t see anyone. In fact, she couldn’t even see a shadow that earlier caught her attention.

Jenny did remember hearing footsteps following her in the silence, but now that she turned around entirely, there was no one to be seen.

’Was it her illusion or did she assume it wrong?’

Jenny pondered standing there clueless for a moment. It was unbelievable to understand something might take her by complete fear, however Jenny was relieved that whatever she was assuming was going to happen.

Scanning a last glance around Jenny turned to leave when a tall figure however her from front.

"Ahh!!! " Jenny yelled her lungs out almost air-kicking the person only to realize she was punching in the wrong direction.

"Jenny... " Gavin’s voice snapped her out of her panic mode and she instantly stopped her hands in mid-air.

Shooting her head in the direction of the man who almost had given an attack, she asked raspily.

"Huh, Gavin!!! What are you doing here?"

Jenny took in a few deep breaths to calm herself before she watched Gavin rush to her side.

"Are you okay? I am sorry I didn’t mean to scare you" Gavin apologized for accidentally scaring her.

When Jenny shook her head, Gavin’s eyes darted behind her back from where he had noticed someone following her.

"What happened, why are you looking there" Gavin’s eyes darkened however he soon composed and checked Jenny again.

His thoughtful gesture brought a smile to Jenny’s face, however, she quickly sealed it before Gavin noticed her.

"Let’s not talk here" Gavin suggested and the two quickly left from the spot only to be stalked by a person who watched them from the shadows.

[Inside the dorm room]

"You mean to say someone was following me until I stopped midway and decided to check? "Jenny asked in confirmation.

Gavin nodded his head in agreement and watched her cover her mouth in shock.

" Even I felt the same, but when I didn’t find anybody, I thought it to be a mistake "

Jenny could now feel the goosebumps crawling over her skin after Gavin confirmed her assumption.

’So she didn’t mistake anything and someone was truly following her’

Gavin on the other hand fumed when the person quickly retreated before he could reach for him. However now one thing was confirmed, Jenny’s life was at risk and they had to be careful.

With Gavin’s mind withdrawing from that thought, he then looked at Jenny and realized how much this revelation affected her and quickly came to her comfort.

With one swift move, Gavin pulled Jenny in his arms and started caressing her back.

"I am glad that nothing happened to you," Gavin’s said kissing the top of her head.

Jenny snapped out of her fears and suddenly her entire body relaxed in his warmth.

This was the second time, Jenny felt so peaceful.

Gavin’s hugs had these tendency to wash away all her worries just by embracing her. It was stupid but she couldn’t help but want him to keep hugging her for a long time.

After a minute of embracing, The couple finally pulled apart, however, their hands kept tucking around each other as if they were hesitating to let each other go.

"Jenny.. " Gavin suddenly called her name when he felt a strange urge crawling in his heart.

Jenny couldn’t look away. The way Gavin called her with much affection, she could withdraw from him.

"Hmm," She responded slowly with a hum, permitting him to continue.

"Can I kiss you?"

Jenny’s lips parted hearing his request and her heartbeat increased with tremendous speed.

Gavin knew it was an unexpected request to speak and it would someone make situations awkward between them. But he couldn’t bring himself to urge something that was always circulating at the back of his mind.

Ever since they hugged each other for the first time, this strange feeling of kissing her aroused in his mind.

He wanted to feel the touch of her lips. Taste the juiciness of her mouth. Make her go wild with his smooch and spin his world around.

However, Gavin couldn’t bring himself to say all these things because he knew they weren’t in a true relationship.

But tonight something woke within him and he couldn’t hold back his thought.

Gavin had been attracted to Jenny since the very first day. But now as he realizes how much her memories have occupied his mind, Gavin could help but greed for everything to turn real between them.

Jenny stood unfazed as she slowly looked down on his lips and nodded.

Her response took Gavin by surprise, however, he soon tucked her chin. Lifting her face, he bored into her eyes and brought their lips together, slowly diving in for a gentle smooch.

It felt like a cool breeze that brushed past them and slowly their bodies flushed into one another as their kiss turned passionate.
