Chapter 393: Stealing a kiss

"W-what are you talking about?" Max was caught off guard but he still tried to put on that serious look on his face.

He knew she was blabbering something stupid in her drunkenness, but the more he looked into her eyes his resolve stirred.

"You don’t know what I am talking about?" she asked keeping her eyes fixated on him while her right hand unclutched the seatbelt and within a second she crawled onto his lap.

Tori had been denying her feeling for him, but today his gesture made her withdraw back for a moment. If he wasn’t concerned about her, he wouldn’t have followed her.

Yet, he wasn’t ready to accept.

Max gasped with his mouth parted a little and his eyes wide looking at the girl who boldly sat on his lap while her arms caged him on the seat.

Tori stared into his shocked eyes as a smile curled on her lips. Bringing her hand to his chest she placed it on his heart.

"You are nervous... Your heart is pounding so fast" Tori was amused by how his heart beat the same rhythm as hers.

Quickly grabbing his hand she placed it on her chest. "Do you feel that?" she asked.

Max was surprised at how fast her heart was beating. Bringing his eyes up he watched her smile sheepishly. "They are in sync," she said smiling like a silly drunkard.

Her smile instantly calmed him down and slowly he relaxed.

Max never knew Tori would act so silly in her drunk state. He couldn’t help but admire her.

Tori was enjoying her moment of happiness but soon that smile vanished and she was back to sadness.

"Why did you lie to me," she asked as she intently looked at him.

"I was doing my job," he said with a plain tone.

Tori’s eyes turned even more sadness as tears well up in her eyes. Her lips tremble as she fights back her cry. She was about to get up when he suddenly spoke.

"But I didn’t realize how and when I ended up falling for you. You were merely a student to me whom I had to train, but I ended up having feelings for you." Max had his eyes fixed on the girl who gape at him in disbelief.

"I tried to deny my feelings for you, knowing you wouldn’t reciprocate me back but it became stronger with every moment we spent together" Max smiled recalling the time he used to smile watching her lose the task. She would always get frustrated, punishing herself to the point she isn’t perfect.

She was a headstrong girl back then too, but her stubbornness enhanced furthermore as she grew up.

"I know you will forget everything I said just now. Maybe that’s how it has to be, now that you found your sister" Sadness laced his voice as his smile faltered and he looked up.

Tori didn’t speak a word as she kept listening to him. Those words she wanted him to express were finally out of his mouth. His confession, his acceptance was finally out there.

She felt so happy to hear him but then he said those words again which she had now started to loathe. She felt like someone stabbed her heart when he stopped smiling.

"No.." she muttered with her eyes still staring at him in a daze.

Max furrowed at her response and was about to make her settle back on her seat when she suddenly wrapped her arms around by his neck and pulled him for a kiss.

"...."

Max stayed still as his mind freeze when her cold lips touch his. She tasted like alcohol slowly intoxicating him with that sloppy kiss.

’She does know how to kiss, but she isn’t bad either

Tori kept nibbling his lower lips like a kid licking her lollipop. But she didn’t stop, though she wasn’t perfect she didn’t pull back. She was enjoying whatever experiment she was doing on Max.

Pressing her chest on his, she then bit his lips before she slowly sucked it.

"Umm.. " a muffled moan escaped her mouth which broke the trance of the still man and he slowly began to reciprocate her.

Max closed his eyes and began kissing her deeply. Wrapping her arms around her back pulled her closer listening to her slowly gasping sound and quickly slide into her cavern for a French kiss.

Running his hands all over her back, Max kept on savoring her lips like a hungry beast until she finally began to lose consciousness. Her arms around his neck dropped and fell asleep with her head resting on his shoulder.

"Ha..." Max heaved out a sigh watching the girl falling asleep on him while giving him blue balls.

"You surely know how to arouse a man Tori.." Max comments helplessly as he helped her sit on the seat before putting on her seatbelt.

Once he made sure she was sleeping comfortably, he then started the car and drove away from there.

Throughout the drive, Tori kept sleep-talking but he couldn’t understand a single word. So he decided to focus on his drive rathe rather than guessing her words.

Max took her to his place knowing it would piss Gabriel finding her in such a terrible state.

Soon they reached his place and Max quickly stepped out of the car and ran to the other side.

Opening the door, he unbuckled the seatbelt and was about to pick up Tori but stopped.

Turning his neck around he watched them stand extremely close to each other. His eyes observed her flushed face but then he looked down on her lips. They looked so tempting and he suddenly felt the urge to kiss them.

He was not satisfied with their unfinished kiss so he decide to steal a small peck to calm his untamed desire.

Closing his eyes, he inched close to peck her lips when she suddenly growled, and the next moment she puke.

"WHACK...UMM.."

"...."

Tori wiped her mouth as she slowly opened her drowsy eyes and let out a smile at him. "Max.." she called out his name and just kept smiling at him.

Max didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry. One kiss, just one kiss he was trying to sneak but his luck was on his side either.

In the end, he laughed at his fate as he watched her dirty clothes.

"Guess I am supposed to have a long night ahead" he muttered looking at the smiling girl and carefully picked up in his arm before taking her inside the house.

Max had his refuge place apart from the base. No one except Gabriel know about it but after tonight even Tori would come to find out about his house.

"Max why do you smell like alcohol" Tori who was now a little sober asked as she sniffed him.

"It’s you, not me who is reeking of alcohol " Max rolled his eyes as he brought her to his room and carefully placed her on the bed.

Tori pouted like a child when she heard his stern voice. She had forgotten about her anger towards him the moment he confessed to her.

She felt so light and kept smiling ignoring the fact that she was too drunk.

Max walked towards the closet and picked up a towel before walking inside the bathroom.

Moistening the towel with the water he then walked out and sat next to her on the bed.

Tori was making weird faces which made him laugh at her innocent expressions. "Now let me wipe your face," he said bringing the towel close to her face and he started to clean her.

"You shouldn’t be drinking so much" he complained making her pout like a kid who was getting scolded by her mother.

"But I was upset.. humph.." Tori whined jerking his hand from her face and staring at him with a deep frown.

Max stared at her for a few seconds before he heaved out a sigh. " I know... but no drinking from now. You can’t handle it"

Max didn’t want her to depend on alcohol to suppress her pain. It wasn’t good for her at all.

Once he was sure that he cleaned her face and clothes, Mx then stood up and walked towards the closet again.

Pulling out fresh pair of clothes he then walked back to her and said," Here change your clothes or else you will keep feeling nauseous.

Passing her the clothes Max motioned her to take it. He knew she was sober enough to change her clothes on her own but the next thing he saw dropped his jaw.

Tori began to unbutton her t-shirt, exposing her cleavage to him.

"Tori you can’t undress in front of me" Max quickly turned around stopping himself from seeing her, but the girl just ignored his words and kept unbuttoning her shirt before tossing it aside.

She then stood on her feet and started removing her jeans, standing only with her undergarments on.

"You weren’t shy when you tried to steal a kiss from me" Her words caught him off guard and he quickly turned around only to be left speechless.
