Tristan had been standing on the balcony since the time he ended up talking with Gwen. In the beginning, he thought she must have called him to discuss the project-related work but to his surprise, she had called him to grant her a leave.

A deep frown marred his face as he tried to analyze what made her take leave as she didn’t inform him of the reason behind it.

But with what he heard and sensed, she sounded a little depressed, her voice weak as she talk with him and not to forget the politeness in her words. It only came when she was upset about something.

"What’s wrong?" Ashley asked as she caressed his back from behind and walked around standing next to him.

"It’s about Gwen. She called me asking for leave but.." he stopped feeling confused about what was wrong with her.

"But?" Ashley asked when she noticed how deeply he had been frowning the entire time and she quickly caressed the lines on his forehead clearing them as she heard him sigh.

"She sounded a little depressed" he spoke before turning around to face her.

Ashley was aware of how much Tristan cared for his sibling. Even with Gavin serving in the military, Tristan never forgets to check on him. He knew life as a military person was tough, but he also knew with Gavin’s determination he would be able to come out strong.

And as for Gwen, he has been much more relaxed as he knew Karl would take care of her. With their relationship going strong, there hasn’t been much complaint about her naughty sister lately.

But today after so long... he found his sister sounding sad and he wasn’t able to fathom the reason.

He thought of calling Karl to ask him what was wrong with Gwen but then he stopped as he found it too strange to question them about their personal lives.

"Huh! Is that so but she sounded fine when I called her this morning. She didn’t mention being bothered about anything" Ashley too likes to check out on Gwen every day talking to her, asking about her day like a living mother.

Last night she wasn’t able to talk with her so she called her the very next morning as soon as she woke up. Everything was fine then why Tristan felt that she was depressed?

"You think I should call Karl?" Tristan once again raised his thoughts but time vocally. Though he decided not to interfere in their personal stuff, still he could stop himself from getting worried for his sister.

"And what would you ask him" Ashley questioned. Her eyes intently watched him as he gasped like a fish trying to find the right words.

"You know it’s like breaching their privacy, then why not wait for Gwen to open up to you about what she is dealing"

Ashley’s words made sense to him. He must wait for Gwen to speak up rather than him going and asking her what was bothering her.

"Now my dear husband if you are done stressing then will you drop me to the set? I still have shooting to finish"

Ashley had been on a two-day break after the accident. Though her injuries weren’t severe with only some scratches still Tristan asked the production team to halt the shoot for two days. He just wanted to make sure his wife was ready to resume her work with the same energy.

Her safety was his biggest priority and he would go to any extent to make sure she and his unborn were safe and sound.

"Are you sure, you still don’t want to extend your leave?" Tristan was still skeptical knowing they weren’t able to find the person who plotted the accident only for the part knowing it was a woman and nobody else.

"No, I have already rested for no reason" She rolled her eyes at him when he again tried to pursue her to extend her leave. She didn’t want Tristan to use his influence to control people around her.

Everyone working on the project had committed their time to it and she didn’t want to prolong it for no reason.

Tristan was trying to see if Ashley would change her mind but when she didn’t, he had no other choice but to agree with her.

Getting changed Tristan drove Ashley to the sets. He decided to be with her for the entire day making sure everything around her was harmless.

Reaching the shooting location, they both made their way toward the changing room when Tristan noticed that Gabriel wasn’t to be seen anywhere.

"Isn’t Gabriel shooting with you today?" Tristan asked as soon as they entered the changing room.

"He will, but not now. Maybe later this afternoon. We have a romantic scene" Ashley spoke casually the man tailing behind her cocked his brow in amusement.

"Romantic scene," he asked repeating her words.

"Yes," Ashley was busy getting changed in front of Tristan. She had asked everyone to step out as she wanted privacy with her husband and would call them only if she needed help.

Busy in her own world, Ashley pulled up her dress above her chest and tried to reach the zip on the back, struggled as she couldn’t catch it.

"Tristan can you help me zip the dress please," Ashley asked with her back facing him. She wasn’t even able to see how he had been gawking at her the entire time.

First, it was because of the romantic scenes she mentioned and how her flawless back was exposed in front of him.

’This woman will be the death of me’ he cursed at his stupid mind that forgot his annoyance the moment his eyes fell on his naked wife who wore only undergarments as she got changed in front of him ignorant about the fact how much it had affected his mind.

Brushing off his pervert thoughts Tristan made his way towards Ashley and grabbed the tip of the zip, but the moment his eyes fell on her white skin, he suddenly felt the urge to touch her.

Urged by his desire to touch his beautiful wife, Tristan let his shamelessness hover over his mind and before pulling the zip upwards, he inserted his hand inside the back of her off-shoulder dress and touched her skin.

Ashley’s entire body froze on her spot when she sensed him trace his hand upwards from her tailbone to her entire spine, letting her feel the goosebumps all over her body.
