"How is that possible? He went missing for so many years." Noah yelped in shock not able to believe what they all just heard.

Once there was no one around Ashley finally turned to look at Alice who had been sitting quietly the entire time. She seemed to be in deep thought and that made Ashley wonder what was bothering her.

"Alice" she softly called out her name but as if she didn’t hear her words, Alice kept staring ahead in a daze.

It was then Ashley slowly shook her by her shoulder pulling her out of her thought. "Huh! What happened?" Alice asked as she roamed her eyes everywhere only to find no one but only the two present in the empty space.

"When did everyone leave?" she asked confusingly. Alice was so busy with her own thoughts that she didn’t realize when everybody left.

Ashley keenly looked at her friend sensed something off about her and answered," When you were busy pondering on your own thoughts" She paused when Alice looked at her in surprise.

"Is there anything bothering you? You know that you can count on me right"

Ashley always had her back and will always be for her no matter how bad the world turns around them.

"It’s about Dylan. The cops haven’t been able to find him" Alice sighed as she adjusted herself on the chair. She wanted to ignore the fleeting fear but no matter what she did, she could forget about him.

Ashley could now understand why she looked so depressed that she didn’t even indulge in the conversation that happened here. If she was in her place she also would’ve done the same. It wasn’t something she would’ve ignored.

"I just want him behind bars Ash. I want to live a fear-free life" Alice expressed her thoughts and she slumped back on the chair heaving out a deep breath.

Ashley reached her hand and placed it on hers as she tried to comfort her. "Don’t worry they will get hold of him, you just need to be patient"

"I know, even Noah told me the same" Alice agreed to her words and slowly calmed down. She liked sharing her worries with Ashley and somehow felt relaxed because of her support.

"So how is my baby bean doing" brushing off her thoughts Alice changed the topic and looked at Ashley’s little swollen stomach. "It’s growing Ash" she further said with an excited smile.

Ashley composed when she saw Alice return to normal heaved out a smile looking down at her stomach which was slowly getting big.

"Yes, it is" Ashley couldn’t stop smiling as she could feel her baby slowly growing inside her stomach. She was waiting for the day when it would kick her letting her know about its emotions.

Alice reached her hand and carefully caressed her stomach feeling all giddy. Just the thought of having a baby grow inside your womb made her happy and her mind slowly drifted about having a baby too.

Imagining how she would look and feel her baby growing inside her. How Noah will pamper her throughout her pregnancy made her feel happy.

"It must be a beautiful feeling, isn’t it," she asked slowly looking up at Ashley who understood what she meant.

"Yes," she answered with a light smile.

While the girls were busy talking outside, Tristan was looking at Noah gulp his drink. It was his fifth glass and he didn’t know why Noah was consuming so much wine.

"You’ll surely get drunk if you keep on drinking " Tristan warned when he noticed something off about Noah.

It wasn’t like he would keep drinking because of Sandra as Tristan could now clearly see the reason is something else.

"Dylan... cops haven’t found him yet and that fucking thought is annoying me" His words made Tristan crease his brows.

"But didn’t Avera already spill his whereabouts," he asked watching Noah gulp that fifth glass.

"Yes but before cops could get hold of him, he flee" came his dull reply.

"He didn’t even bother to take his father with him. Such an ungrateful brat"
