Chapter 360: Waiting for the results.

A black Mercedes stopped in front of a lavishing Restaurant with Gabriel stepping out of it followed by Max.

Last night when he received a call from Tristan, Gabriel was surprised in the beginning but the words he further said made his blood boil in anger.

They both happened to find that someone was framing Gabriel for something he didn’t do and when Tristan asked him to meet him, he immediately agreed.

Stepping inside the VIP room, Gabriel’s eyes fell on Tristan who was already waiting for him. His presence was mighty which reminded him about their teenage life. The cold and indifferent Tristan Knight was sitting in front of him.

The moment he sensed Gabriel’s presence, Tristan raised his head and looked at his friend or ex-friend.

"I just hope I didn’t disturb you" Tristan shoved the phone inside his pocket and asked Gabriel to have a seat.

Once he settled down opposite Tristan, an awkward silence engulfed the two. It had been years since they last sat together and had a heartful conversation and now they both fell speechless in front of each other.

"Ahem... so, how did you learn it wasn’t me" Gabriel finally spoke knowing that someone had to break the silence if they had to discuss the topic they were here for.

Tristan watched his bruised face before he started telling him everything. Gabriel’s eyes went cold the more Tristan spoke and by the time he finished, he was already clenching his jaws.

"Someone is trying to take advantage of our disputes by framing you" Tristan spoke as he watched Gabriel’s deadpan face.

"But now, I want to put an end to this once and for all. Let’s forget everything and have a fresh start " Tristan’s words took both Gabriel and Max by surprise and he looked at him with a suspicious gaze.

"And what made you think I will accept your proposal?" Gabriel scoffed at his words.

All these years he had been surviving with only one motive and that is to revenge Tristan for Sandra’s death, then how did he even think he will forget everything just like that?

"Because you are seeking revenge that’s baseless," Tristan said as he moved his eyes to the person who stood behind Gabriel.

"Am I right Max?" Max gulped when Tristan looked at him with his piercing blue eyes.

Gabriel on the other hand frown and turn to look at his loyal man. The nervous look on Max’s face deepened the crease on Gabriel’s forehead.

"What is he saying?" Gabriel asked as she slowly watched Max turn his head toward him and his Adam’s apple moved in anxiousness.

"I think it’s all for today. I will take my leave and give you two some private time" With that Tristan got up from his chair and left the VIP room leaving Gabriel and Max all by themselves.

Once the door behind them shut, Gabriel’s eyes turned darker than the night and he asked with his teeth gnashing each other. "Spill..."

Tristan stepped out of the restaurant and headed towards his car. "The meeting ended really quick," Jack asked the moment Tristan stopped in front of him.

"Too soon" With a vicious smile lingering on his face, Tristan hopped into the backseat while Jack walked to the other side and stepped into the car before they drove away.

Meanwhile, inside the VIP room, hell broke loose as a dreadful silence filled the entire space making it suffocating for Max to stand on his feet.

The piece of information he disclosed in front of him made Gabriel lose his cool. But knowing there weren’t in their base, he tried to stay calm.

Giving Max a final glance, Gabriel got up and walked out of the room in fury and slammed the door flung open as forcefully as he could in order to let him know that he was disappointed in him.

Max could feel the rage emitting from Gabriel. He knew he shouldn’t have hidden such a big thing from him but he wasn’t sure about it yet. Giving false news would only upset him further.

They thought except from him and Tori no one knew about it but he was wrong, Tristan was one step ahead of them. It wasn’t still confirmed from his side either but the news itself was a big shock.

Taking a deep breath, Max composed himself and followed Gabriel. He knew leaving him alone wouldn’t be the right choice but before he could step out he watched Gabriel hop into the car and drive away without him.

"Damnit" he cursed pinching his temple and quickly pulled up his phone and instructed their men to follow their leader.

"I need to inform you this Tori" he mumbled and watched a car stop in front of him.

"To the base, now.." instructing one of his men in the driver’s seat, Max asked him to take him to the dungeon.

Tristan reached the Knight Mansion and headed toward his bedroom where he found his wife sleeping peacefully. Tossing his suit aside, he walked towards the bed and sat next to her.

"Tristan" Ashley moaned his name the moment she felt his presence next to her and a smile crept on her lips.

"Did Gabriel agree?" she asked slowly opening her eyes and faced him.

"For now, he didn’t but I am sure he will soon call me" Tristan answered as his palm caressed her hair lovingly.

Last night when Tristan told her he would negotiate with Gabriel, she didn’t stop him.

After listening to their story, Ashley came to learn that it was just a misunderstanding that lead them to turn their back on each other by only seeing them as rivals.

And now it was time for them to sort out their misunderstanding.

While Tristan was busy caressing her hair, Ashley’s smile slowly disappeared and she asked," Are you sure it’s her? We can be wrong" There was a glint of doubt in her words but watching Tristan being so calm made her think otherwise.

"I am just waiting for the results" Tristan’s eyes shined in anticipation as he stared at her with a hopeful gaze.
