Gwen was breathing heavily as she tried to steady herself when she heard Karl speak," Am I forgiven?" his voice soothing as sea made her raise her eyes as she watched him look at her with hope.

"Will I ever be upset with you, if you keep surprising me this way" her face was painted red with a breathless kiss and suddenly she began to feel shy.

Karl’s lips curled up into a satisfied grin and he rested their forehead together saying," Then you should often get upset with me so I could come up with different ways of surprising you" he chuckled and watched her give him a confusing look.

"If that’s what you want, but don’t cry if you find it hard to coax me afterward" Gwen warned and watched the smile on his face slowly falter.

"Now let me go. I don’t want anyone to see us like this" she said pointing at their position.

Karl quickly shook his head in denial and said, "I will but only if you promise me that you won’t give me the silent treatment as you did before". He was too adamant to let her go until she assured him, that she won’t give him cold shoulder.

"It depends on your behavior," she said slowly tracing her finger on his jaw and smiled seductively. Her man was too innocent to understand a women’s nature, especially Linda, who kept acting as his friend, concealing her true motive.

Now that she knows, Linda always had a liking towards Karl, she would be extra cautious around her.

Still finding him clueless, Gwen just patted his cheeks before she turned around and headed back to her desk.

Natalie was on cloud nine after a statement about Noah and Alice’s breakup surfaced on the news channel and now she was confirmed that whatever she heard from him last night wasn’t drunk talk.

She then picked up her phone and texted Avera to check the news and tossed her phone aside as she lay on the bed feeling all happy.

The last night when she drove to meet Avera, the girl didn’t seem to believe her words. She was still skeptical to trust that Noah would ever end his relationship with Alice. But now when it was all over the news then she had to believe her.

Not after too long her phone rang and without looking at the caller she answered the call. "So now you believe me," she said with a pleasant tone.

Avera was silent for a few seconds before she hummed, agreeing to her words.

"But how is this possible? We all knew how crazy Noah was for Alice, then how can they end up their relationship, and that too after the accident" Avera was still doubtful even after the news was published.

"Something doesn’t seem right" she further mumbled, irking Natalie as her face crumpled.

"Then are you telling me the news that is circulating all over the media channel is fake? You think they are this hyping the news for no reason" Natalie scoffed making a humorous remark.

Why would they fake their separation if they haven’t? Natale couldn’t believe Avera was still doubting them.

Avera didn’t answer her back because she knew Natalie wasn’t that smart enough to get the loopholes. She wasn’t ready to accept that Noah would ever separate from Alice.

He and his parents destroyed everyone who tried to harm the girl, then how all of a sudden they change their minds. No, she can’t blindly accept the news, not Natalie until she confirms it.

"I will talk to you later" ending the call abruptly Avera then called Brooke and asked him to check the hospital where Avera was treated. She wanted to check if the news was true or not.

Back inside the hospital, Alice turned off the television and sighed." Do you think it’s enough to make them believe us" she asked turning her eyes to Noah.

"No," he said. "I don’t think Avera would easily trust on this too" he then met his eyes with Alice.

"Then how should we find a way to lower her guards? What if she doesn’t believe us ever" Alice thought just like Natalie even Avera would believe them but knowing how smart the girl was, she couldn’t help but accept Noah’s words.

"I don’t know but we have to stop meeting each other until their doubts confirm" Noah suggested and watched Alice’s face drop.

"Sigh!" heaving out a deep breath, Noah then cupped her face as he looked deep into her eyes." It won’t be for too long, I promise" he assured her and watched her nod her head in agreement.

Alice was about to embrace him when suddenly his phone rang and he excused himself from the room.

"What bad timing" Alice muttered with disbelief and once again turned on the television.

Noah walked through the corridor hiding in a secluded place from where no one would see or listen to him and then answered the call.

"You ungrateful brat, what’s going on with you? How can you publish such nonsense news" Anna flared from the other side of the call.

Noah cursed himself mentally as he heard his mother yell at him. He was so preoccupied with things that he forgot to inform his parents about their decision.

"You just wait. Let me get there and smack that useless brain of yours" Anna kept blabbering. She was shocked to see the news about Noah’s breakup with Alice surfacing on the media channel.

Without wasting a second, she immediately called her son seeking clarification. She couldn’t help but wonder what happened to him all of sudden. A few days back when the accident took place she had seen Noah cry his heart loud, begging her to wake Alice, then how come he changed his mind.

Anna didn’t hold back her tongue and kept scolding Noah when suddenly he shouted. "Mom!.. Will you please listen to me once"

Anna immediately shut her mouth at his loud voice. Finding her turning quiet, he then continued," It’s not like what you are thinking" Noah started to explain, confusing Anna.

"Then what is the media saying? Have they lost their mind or are they not afraid of getting sued by the Wayne’s for publishing false news" Anna wasn’t going to stay still. If she happened to find someone had purposely leaked a piece of fake news about them, then she would end up destroying everyone involved in it.

Noah massaged his temple as he could sense his mother was not going to bat this decision of his. It was also one of the reasons why he was skeptical of involving his parents in this.

’What should I do? Is she ever going to listen to me’ Noah mentally cried when suddenly he heard Anna.

"Don’t curse me in your mind Noah Wayne. You know I am capable enough to read what you are thinking"
