Chapter 266: Moving to the old mansion

Ashley eyed Tristan suspiciously and asked," Are you hiding something from me Tristan" her brows lifted in questioning the moment his hand slid down her cheeks.

Tristan was intimidated by Ashley for a few seconds but he quickly dodged it and resumed back his old expression.

"Ahem... let’s not discuss irrelevant things and why not focus on ourselves at the moment" Tristan tried averting her thoughts from that one topic and watched her open her mouth in objection. But before she could speak he wrapped his arms around her waist and sealed her lips, silencing her entirely.

The kiss wasn’t long but it was enough to spine her thoughts. The second they pulled apart Ashley had already forgotten the reason for her argument.

Satisfied by her reaction, Tristan let go of his hands from her waist and took her to their bed. Setting down next to each on the comfy surface of the bed Tristan grab hold of Ashley’s hand.

Quiet examining the small bruise on her knuckles he frowned. She received it in the morning when he was giving her the self-defense training.

"Does it hurts?" he asked gently tracing his thumb on it.

Earlier Tristan didn’t ask as he was busy comforting her but now when he remembered he couldn’t stop himself from having a look at it and asking her.

Ashley noticed the tenseness in his voice as he raised his head, staring anxiously at her.

Letting out a comforting smile, Ashley said," No it doesn’t hurt, and don’t you think it’s cool?" she pulled her hand out from his hold and showed him the bruise.

"This will make me remember that I am doing good," she said pointing at the faint red bruise.

Letting out a chuckle Tristan shook his head and pulled Ashley by her shoulder and kissed her head." You are impossible Mrs. Knight"

"Hmm! You aren’t allowed to copy my line" craning her head, she warned and watched him smile. Leaning forward he peck her lips before he embraced her again.

Staying like that for some time, Ashley then slowly pulled away when she remembered something.

"Tristan did mom and dad tell you about their moving to country X with Grandpa Dante," she asked.

Earlier when she returned home, she had heard Grace and Trevor argue on this topic but when she raised the question they got alerted and even dodged the question.

Tristan knitted his brow and shook in head denying the words she said just now." I just got to learn it from you and, why are they even moving there in the first place"

He couldn’t believe his parents were moving to another county along with his grandfather and he wasn’t even informed about it.

"No! I won’t allow them to go" snapping his voice a loud Tristan got up and walked out of the room in fury.

Soon reaching their parent’s room, Tristan knocked. His mind kept recalling Ashley’s words. His parents were thinking of moving out and he had no clue about it.

Opening the door, he asked," Are you both busy?"

Trevor and Grace turned their head in Tristan’s direction and saw him looking at them with seriousness.

"No, get in" Grace answered sensing the change in his face, and quickly put on a smile, covering her suspicion.

Tristan entered the room and walked to his parents who were sitting on the couch. Standing right in front of them Tristan confronted," Mom, dad are you both planning to move to Country X"

Tristan tried to remain cool as he didn’t want to show his disappointment. The thought of them leaving the mansion had already upset him and he didn’t want to vent it out in front of them.

Both Grace and Trevor were shocked by Tristan’s words. They were yet to disclose this news to anyone as they were still contemplating on how they should bring up this topic.

They both knew Tristan would never agree to them but they had no other choice as it was Dante’s request.

After the surgery, Dante wanted to spend his time recovering at his old mansion in Country X, where he and Serra had built many memories.

Tristan was astonished to see both his parents seal their mouths in response. He expected an answer from them but their silence confirmed everything.

"How long have been you two planning to move and whose idea is this? Grandpa?" he asked. His eyes moved back and forth from Grace to Trevor and he watched them lower their eyes.

"That old man. Why can’t he stay here?" Tristan groan when everything made sense to him.

It wasn’t his parents but it was Dante, who wanted to move.

Grace could see that Tristan was very upset with this decision and it didn’t take him time to find whose idea it was.

She watched him run his hand over his face as he tried to calm himself. Tristan rarely lost his temper but when he did, it was hard for him to calm.

"Neither you both nor that old man is leaving this place. Do you hear me?" he declared without giving them a chance to speak.

"Just give me some time. I will convince him and mom" he paused moving his eyes to his mother and said," How can you agree to his words"

Grace felt bad to see his hurtful expression. Staring at him for some time, she reached her hand asking him to hold it.

Understanding her gesture, Tristan quickly hold onto her hand and fell to his knees. He was a grown man but in front of Grace, he will always be her little Tristan.

His eyes softened the moment she cupped his face and she heard him say," Why?" he sounded like a child questioning his mother.

"We aren’t leaving you forever Tristan. It’s dad’s wish to spend his time, recovering in the old mansion" he creased listening to her words.

"What’s the problem with him staying here," he asked whining like a kid.

"It’s his heartfelt request Tristan and we couldn’t object to him. It’s just a matter of time until he fully recovers and we promise to return along with him" this time it was Trevor who spoke.

This was the only reason why he was arguing with Grace. They both knew Tristan would never let them move nor he would let his Grandfather take any stupid decision

Turning his attention from his mother, Tristan then looked at his father who bobbed his head in assurance.

"That old man. He knows how to get his work done" he sneered only to get a slap on his cheeks.

"Mind your words, son. He is my dad" Grace said with a serious expression.

"I know... "

Tristan could only vent in front of his parents as Dante was in no condition for the interrogation. A day later was his surgery and he was currently going through some medical tests.

’I let you go this time grandpa, but that doesn’t mean I will let things pass this easily’
