Two days went by Tristan taking care of Ashley, following Taylor’s instructions strictly. He made sure, she eats healthy food on time and also sleep without any disturbance.

Now that she had recovered and all her wounds and healed, Tristan suggested they should return to the Knights’ mansion as Dante’s surgery date was approaching. He was only waiting for them to return and now that he had, he didn’t want to delay it anymore.

After having breakfast with Richard, the couple soon bid goodbye and headed back to the Knight’s mansion.

Stepping inside their room Ashley heaved out a sigh," We are back" she said looking around their room feeling happy.

Not that she didn’t like her stay at her house, but this place was her real home in true essence.

"You stay here, I’ll be in my study." kissing her cheeks Tristan excused himself and headed to the study to finish his work.

Ashley scanned the room before she walked out of the balcony roaming her eyes on the vast lawn and took a deep breath. While she was busy enjoying her alone time, suddenly her phone rang.

Looking at the caller’s name, she quickly answered the call." Miley," Ashley was happy to listen from her manager who also seemed to be enjoying her small break.

"Ma’am, how are you," Miley asked with the same contentment. She was happy to be back with her job as Ashley’s manager. From the day Ashley took a break even Miley was granted the same just so she could visit her hometown and meet her parents.

But now, that she was back, Miley called Ashley informing her about her arrival.

"All good," Ashley said. She could tell Miley had learned about the incident that took place with her in Country X, which was why she sounded a little worried.

Feeling relief that her boss was fine and doing good, she came to speak up on the topic for which she had called.

"Ma’am the commercial ad you shot a few weeks back is already been telecast and is receiving a great response." Her words made Ashley knit her brows in surprise.

This thought had already skipped from her mind but now that she heard about it from Miley, Ashley couldn’t wait to see it on her own.

Miley informed her about how many more brands wanted to collaborate with her. They were impressed with her acting though it wasn’t that long, still, her presence had caught many eyes.

After talking with Miley, Ashley stepped inside the room while her fingers typed something on her phone. Taking a seat on the couch, she looked at the amazing feedback she was receiving for her looks. Some even went on to praise her acting skills, giving a positive response.

As she went on scrolling down the comment section, she found many comments that said why isn’t the face of the guy next to Ashley hidden. And that made her confused.

She remembered doing a scene where they were faced in front of each other, then why is the audience complaining about his face being hidden?

Returning back to the main page she played the ad video and her eyes turned wide when she actually saw that it was only here who was visible throughout the ad while the Riel, only his back profile was visible.

She was so pissed by that man that she walked out of the shooting spot once her shot was over. She didn’t wait to see the final cut and left from there.

Heaving out a sigh, she closed her eyes and laid back. Now she understood why everyone was commenting about the man’s face hidden from the screen.

While Ashley was busy grasping the positive feedback, inside the study, Tristan frowned when he couldn’t see the face of the man who worked with Ashley in the ad.

They had been trying to find whom Lucas introduced as his nephew, but it seemed his appearance was still kept hidden. After so many background checks, they still could find his image anywhere which only means that Lucas was very careful with his actions.

Tristan stayed on his seat with his palms joined and his elbow resting on the surface of the table. He had been trying to understand what was Lucas’s motive behind keeping his unknown nephews identity away from the media when in reality was about to launch him.

Something was fishy with the way, the identity of that man was kept under wrap and not shown to the outside world. Something was definitely brewing in Lucas and Gabriel’s minds, and they were yet to show up.

During lunch hours, Karl decided to take Gwen to a new restaurant across from their company’s building. Sitting on one of the corner tables, Karl was busy feeding Gwen. He made sure she wasn’t rushing and taking her time to devour the delicious fish cakes, he ordered for her.

" Are you going to keep feeding me? What about your food" Gwen asked.

Though she liked Karl feeding her every time they had meals together but that doesn’t mean he should ignore his own appetite for her.

Smiling at her cute complaint, Karl picked up the spoon and started eating along. While the couple was busy enjoying their lunch together, Gwen caught the sight of Linda stepping inside the same restaurant and she froze.

Karl was busy eating his food, noticed the change in Gwen’s face. He followed her gaze that looked right behind him and turned.

His eyes caught the sight of Linda walking in but instead of coming their way, she took a left turn and disappeared from their sight.

"I think we should leave," Karl said quickly turning his attention to Gwen.

Snapping out of the frozen state, Gwen grasp his words and shook her head," Why?!.. I think we should finish our lunch without any worry and then walk back to the office" Gwen informed pulling her attention from where Linda walked away from and looked at Karl.

Luckily Linda didn’t notice them as she came along with some of her friends. She thought it would be better if they continue having lunch rather than getting distracted by Linda’s presence.

Karl watched Gwen resume back her eating, and asked" Are you sure, her presence is not bothering you" he was being cautious about Gwen’s behavior.

After whatever Linda said to her back then, he didn’t want her to plant another stupid seed in Gwen’s mind where she would end up doubting herself and their relationship.

"Of course, Why won’t I be" Gwen shrugged her shoulder and quietly finished off her food.

Once they were done, Karl walked to the bill counter while Gwen followed him silently. She made sure to keep her face normal and not get distracted by Linda.

After paying the bill, the couple was about to leave when they heard a voice call them from behind.

"Karl, Gwen..." Linda who noticed the couple leaving, excused her friend and rushed toward them.

"Not again..." Gwen mumbled irritating but quickly put on a smile before they turn to see Linda walking towards them.

"Linda..." Gwen said with the least interest and wrapped her arms around Karl’s hand before passing a forceful smile at the girl.

Karl sensed the change in Gwen’s attitude, turn to look at Linda, and passed a polite smile. He wasn’t that happy to meet her again after whatever trouble her words caused Gwen.

"What a pleasant surprise. We meet again" Linda kept the same jolly speech and stopped in front of them.

Gwen clutched Karl’s arm trying to control her fury trying to maintain the smile on her face after watching Linda.

"We weren’t expecting you" came Gwen’s straightforward words that snapped Karl’s attention to her.

Linda was caught off guard by Gwen’s frankness as she tried to maintain her composure not letting them affect her.

Gwen’s eyes scanned Linda’s attire from head to toe and just like the other day, even today she wore some exposing clothes that grab a lot of attention from around.

"Haha.. by the way, Linda what are you doing here in this neighborhood" Karl could feel the tension brewing between the girls tried to speak up and change the topic.

Linda averted her eyes from Gwen to Karl and smiled," I had my friends visit the city and this restaurant seems to be newly built. So I thought to come up here. By the way, isn’t your company somewhere close to here?" she asked completely ignoring the girl next to him.

Gwen noticed what she was trying to do. She was again sidelining her, just the way she did back then.

"Yes, our company is just a few distances away from here" Gwen caught both Linda’s and Karl’s attention.

"Y-You both work together?" she asked.

"Yes and I think we are getting late. You know our boss, he doesn’t tolerate latecomers. So if you could excuse us," Gwen dragged Karl out of the restaurant completely ignoring Linda, leaving her alone in embarrassment.

"Bloody bit*h" Linda mumbled glaring at Gwen and turned around heading back on her seat.
