Chapter 245: Ready to have kids
After the heated session, Tristan laid next to Ashley with his palm resting on her tummy, while his eyes admiring her.
His lips curled up thinking about something and he leaned forward placing a kiss on her cheeks.
"What was that for?" Ashley asked turning her head to face him and watching him smile.
"Nothing, I just felt like kissing you. You know that you have a chubby cheek" he said making her arch her brow.
"I know... but this isn’t about my cheeks. It’s something else" she stated and then looked down at his palm that rested on her stomach with him slowly caressing it.
"Are you still taking the pills?" he asked out of nowhere.
Ashley raised her brows when she tried to recall the last time she consumed them. Her eyes widen and she snapped her attention to him.
"No, It has been five days, since I last took them" Ashley remembered in realization.
"Hmm... I think you should stop taking them. I don’t want them to affect your health" he stated.
Tristan knew they have been more than active with their sexual activities, and it was kind of taking a toll on her health.
Ashley pondered on his words and asked," You want to have children"
Tristan looked up. His expression little complicated, but deep inside she was right. At some point, he wanted to have children with her, but only when she was ready.
"What’s your thought on it," he asked, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.
This thought never popped into her mind, but now when he asked her back, she thought about it and a smile appeared on her face. Her bearing Tristan’s child in her womb gave her a giddy feeling. The child will be the fruit of their love.
"I don’t mind having one," she said and watched his eyes grow wide in surprise. Did she wanted to have a child, he thought.
"You mean to say, there is no wrong in getting pregnant," he asked just to make sure, he wasn’t assuming everything on his own.
"No... I don’t mind having a child" she tried to hide her amusement, watching him look at her like he heard something wrong but she could and burst into a laugh.
"You don’t believe me," she asked pinching his cheeks.
He looked like he was still in denial at the words he heard from her. It only showed how eager he was to become a father but was trying to keep it to himself, because of her.
Tristan tried to say something but couldn’t speak as he was still absorbing her words and soon his lips curled up into a smile. Not able to control his excitement, he pulled her closer into a hug and kissed her head.
"You know, I always dreamed of having a family with you. But never thought it would ever come true" he sounded a little nervous as he pondered his deepest wish to her.
After Tristan realized his love for Ashley, he kept dreaming about things he would want to do with her. From small dates to marriage to having a small family of their own, he had every image of them appearing in his mind.
All his dream came crashing down when he found Ashley like Greg. He never imagined a day like this would ever come, where he would be telling her about his dreams. It all felt so unreal.
Now that he thought about his loneliness, he couldn’t help but smile.
Ashley just listened to him, with her hands firmly gripping him around. She didn’t know, he had been dreaming about it for so long.
Back then, the thought of having Tristan’s kids did cross her mind, but she was too focused on taking revenge on Jane and Greg. Things around them were a little chaotic, with her name being tarnished at every step of her career.
But now anymore. Everything was fine, with her life going right on its track, and now was ready to have kids. Smiling in satisfaction, she closed her eyes feeling the warmth of his embrace.

Noah was waiting for Alice to return. Though he gave her permission to meet her mother alone, but his heart wasn’t at peace since the second she left. He had no idea what was her mother’s intention behind this secret meeting, but he hoped it wouldn’t trigger Alice’s emotions somehow.
They were the most twisted people he ever come across, who treated their daughter like a toy, hurting and playing with her feeling for their benefit But not anymore... he can’t sit and wait for her.
Getting restless, Noah quickly pick up the car keys and dashed out of the house only to find Alice stepping out of the elevator.
Watching her in front of his eyes, Noah sighed and sprinted to her, pulling her into his embrace." What took you so long?" he asked. Concern laced his voice as he gripped her firmly.
Alice blinked her eyes pushing back the tears that kept surfacing every now and then. But when he hugged her she broke. Burying her face into his neck she sniffed.
"A-Alice, what’s wrong," he asked pulling her away and watched her cry silently.
He hated whenever he saw her tearing up. It ripped his heart, making it uneasy for him to stand sober.
When Alice didn’t answer him, he just carried her in his arms and walked back inside the house.
Sitting on the couch with Alice on his lap, her head resting on his shoulder while his arms were around her waist, Noah let her take some time to relax. He knew her mother must’ve said something that made her reach this point where she could hold back her tears anymore.
Caressing her back, he stayed silent, allowing her to sort her emotions and when she did, Alice finally pulled back.
"You know somewhere deep within my heart, I thought one day for one fucking day, my parents would see my worth. I thought me leaving that house, and staying away from them would make them realize their mistake. But no, I was wrong" she said with a sad smile and wiped off her tears.
Taking a deep breath she told him what happened when she met her mom and how she asked her to convince him to help them. Noah was in utter disbelief, but somewhere he had seen this coming.
After his parents pulled away all their shares from Grey internationals, Dylan started facing problems. Maybe he must’ve sought help from Hayes Reid, Avera’s father and because of his daughter’s blind love for him, Hayes must’ve agreed to help him and he must’ve targeted the Keller to get even with them.
"Some people can never change and my parents are one of them," he heard her speak and he snapped out of his thoughts.
Alice thought she was expecting way too much from her parents, even though she knew, that day would never come. Them seeing her worth would only become a dream an unwishful dream.
Noah just remained quiet and let her vent out. He stayed there comforting her without questioning her anything. He wanted her to free herself from the expectations she held in her heart in regard to her parents.
"How can someone be selfish, that they couldn’t even see how much damage they had already caused, yet they aren’t satisfied? Sometimes it leads me to question my identity. Am I really their daughter?" she asked feeling defeated.
All these years, she longed for her parent’s love, but they never saw her because she wasn’t someone they wished to have. They greed for a son to lead their legacy, but she was born breaking her father’s wish.
Sometimes she wished god wouldn’t have shown her the world she didn’t fit in because every day yearning for something that she couldn’t get was breaking her hope.
"Am I worthless?" she asked looking straight into his eyes.
Noah never thought Alice was bottling up so many emotions within that she was doubting herself.
"No, You are worth more than anything in this world Alice. You just need the right people around to know you" Noah would never let her doubt herself. She was worth more than anything someone could wish for and he was grateful that he found her.
Resting their forehead together, he brushed the tip of their nose," And I am thankful that I found you" his voice softened as he conveyed his heart.
Alice bobbed her head trying to fight back her tears again. She too was thankful that she found him. Through him, she met his parents who were so kind and loving, treating her like their own daughter.
"I never want to see them again Noah. Never" wrapping her arms around his neck, she mumbled. She finally closed her parent’s Chapter leaving them in the hands of their greed that took them along to face their downfall.
It was their karma and they had to face it.
