Chapter 100: She cried for her father
Karl squinted his eyes and looked at the man the next second, and his eyes turned cold. He was the same man trying to flirt with Gwen back then. How can he forget his face?
After all, he was a rival but his bad luck that Gwen didn’t get swayed by his cheekiness.
Karl scoffed and turned to see Gwen, who tried to hide behind him." Some, let’s go from here," he heard her say, and the next second, he was again dragged from there before anyone watched them.
Gwen had taken Karl’s words so seriously that she made sure no one meant no one could see them together.
They returned to the company taking some food for them to eat.
"Phew... it’s so hard to keep hiding from everyone" Gwen placed the food on the table and sat on the couch before she reached her hand and pulled Karl, making him sit next to her.
Karl kept admiring Gwen; without thinking, he pulled her and embraced her." Just more time. I promise you, Gwen, we don’t have to keep our relationship hidden."
Gwen hugged him back tightly without getting sad at his words. She knew he needed time and would give it until he found the courage to date her openly without thinking about society.
"Take your time Karl. I am in no rush," she comforted him. She gave him the time he needed if that’s what he wanted.

Knight mansion
With the cell phone in her hand, Grace was strolling on the lawn and glancing at it every minute.
It was strange for Dante not even to call her once. It had been more than two days, and he hadn’t contacted her.
Dante was desperate to mend their relationship, but Grace didn’t want to give him any chance. ’Was she being too heartless towards the man just because his once carelessness risked her mother’s life
Sera wasn’t alive anymore, but the day she took her last breath, she had asked her not to make the same mistake as she did back then.
Did she regret leaving her father when even after separating from him, she never stopped loving him?
Grace had seen her mother cry for her father, but then she would stop herself when she saw her.
Looking back at her phone, she suddenly became restless. Something was bothering her, and she wanted not to forget Trevor’s words last night.
’Why would he say that?’ she fell deep in thought when...
"Grace..." she heard someone call and flinch back, only to find Trevor walking towards her.
"You scared me, Trevor" sighing, she held her heart and shot him a glare.
"What are you doing here for so long?" he asked, wrapping his arm around her shoulder and watching her turn silent.
She looked down at her phone as she kept fidgeting with it but didn’t utter a word, and that was enough for him to understand what was going on in her mind.
"It’s not too late to take the first step" his words made her look at him in surprise.
"Now, don’t tell me what you are talking about. It is of no use because your face is telling me a different story," Trevor continued before she would beat him, ignoring all his claims.
Grace turned and hugged Trevor burying her face in his chest. She felt helpless all of a sudden and needed comfort.
"I don’t know, Trevor, but I don’t feel good. It’s like I feel something isn’t right with him" Trevor sighed and hugged her, caressing her back gently.
"Then what’s stopping you, Grace?" he pulled back, cupped her face, soothing her cheeks, and continued," He is your father. Even if you keep denying it won’t change the fact that you are his daughter."
Trevor had known Dante from the beginning. The day he fell for his daughter, Dante kidnapped and interrogated him keeping the gun on his temple. Though their first meeting wasn’t that great when he learned that Trevor genuinely liked Grace, he trusted him at that moment.
Grace’s eyes welled up, and she remembered all the harsh words she had said to him even after knowing he didn’t mean any harm to her. The hate blinded her she cried for her father because he wasn’t an ordinary human but an underworld mafia.
She sobbed, holding onto his shirt, and cried without holding back her tears. Grace wasn’t a heartless woman, but the incident then made her fear for the lives of the people who were dear to her.
Trevor held her close to him and let her cry. She needed to clear her thoughts about her father and allow him to be for her and her family. He was the only one she had left, and she was the only one he had left.

By the time Ashley woke up, it was already evening. The day she hoped to spend with her husband doing some fun was spent sleeping. And whose fault it was... Tristan.
Stretching her arms, she got up, looked around the empty room, and frowned. Her eyes went to the couch and saw Tristan’s laptop, but the owner wasn’t present, which surprised her.
Stepping down from the bed, Ashley walked toward the bathroom only to find it empty, and the frown on her forehead deepened.
"He isn’t here too," she mumbled and walked out of the room.
Her eyes searched him everywhere, but Tristan wasn’t present. He never went out without informing her, then where did he go?
Ashley was about to make a call when something struck her mind, and she went to the spare room and entered.
When she stepped in, she found Tristan sleeping on the couch with his arm resting on his forehead.
The uneasiness she felt a second back vanished when she saw Tristan in front of her eyes. Without making any sound, she slowly walked and kneeled next to him.
Tristan was fast asleep but then why wasn’t he sleeping with her? She thought and reached her hand to brush his cheeks and saw him stir a little.
"Ash"
Tristan returned to the bedroom after talking with Dante and was about to resume the work that he had left. But when his eyes fell on Ashley, his desire surged up.
Just the sight of her figure aroused him, and he felt helpless, trying to keep his hands away from his sleeping wife.
Tristan had already worn her out by taking her back-to-back six rounds, and with the stamina he still had left, he would have continued without any break.
He stopped himself from taking a step toward her and left the room before his hunger for her reached its limits. It was better if he stayed away from her; that was the only reason he slept in the other room after taking a cold shower.
A smile appeared on her lips, and the next second, Tristan pulled her by her arm, and she landed straight from him. Wrapping his arm around her waist, Tristan carefully held her, making sure she would fall, and kept staring at her lovingly.
"Why did you sleep here? I searched for you in the entire house," Ashley pouted when she remembered how fast her heart was beating when she didn’t find him anywhere near her.
"You got scared?" he asked and saw her nod.
"Why?" he asked again.
"I don’t know, but I don’t feel good when you aren’t around," concern laced through her words.
Ashley was so used to Tristan that sometimes she went over the board, missing him like a mad person.
Brushing her cheeks with his thumb, Tristan slowly traced his finger from her upper lip to her lower and said," I won’t leave you and go"
Tristan, also couldn’t stay away from her when she was finally his wife. Back then, he kept his distance from her knowing she wasn’t his, and had Greg in her life. But now, he couldn’t bring himself to stay away from her.
There was no way he would leave her at any cost.
"I know" a smile appeared on her lips, and she moved closer to him and brushed the tip of their nose lovingly.
She felt so secure in her arms. They were like a protective shield that kept her safe; his embrace was her solace, which she didn’t want to part from.
"How long have you been awake?" he asked.
"A while," she said and pulled away from his embrace, standing down on the floor before she reached her hand and pulled Tristan up.
"We waste our entire day by doing nothing?" Ashley brushed Tristan’s hair and complained.
They were supposed to enjoy the day by doing some activities, but all they did was make love and sleep. It was evening, and there was still some time left before they called off the day, and Ashley wanted to use it.
Tristan wanted to smile at her cute nagging because he didn’t mind if they continued what they did the entire day. He was still fresh and ready for his wife, but he didn’t want to disappoint her.
He wouldn’t deny it if she were planning on doing something fun. He was always ready with whatever Ashley had on her mind. And if they mean doing stupid, crazy things, then yes, he would gladly give in.
