Carrying a Jurassic on me
Chapter 69 - 69 10 Hitting the Thigh Request for Collection_1

Despite not being entirely proficient with the Pterosaur’s beak, Yan Fei could still accurately take aim at the Microraptor charging straight towards him.

He had planned to kill this Microraptor first and then teach the others a lesson with his wings, but these creatures’ survival skills were surprisingly strong, and they were quite fast at escaping.

He slightly put his extended wings back and was about to drop the dead Rapator, but then he suddenly stopped.

A fresh smell of blood reached his nose.

It seemed rather intriguing.

During his time as a Compsognathus, the smell of blood didn’t bother him; in fact, he often found it quite appetizing.

But it was only because, during his first transformation into a Compsognathus, he had excitedly eaten an octopus, and the resulting nausea made him subconsciously loathe the Compsognathus’s diet.

A thought suddenly crossed his mind: What would happen if I eat this little Microraptor?

People eat slowly.

If he were to eat as a Pterosaur, it would only take one bite to finish this Microraptor.

Despite these thoughts, reason ultimately prevailed.

Therefore, the plans for exploring Cow Breeding Island tonight are over.

Carrying the Microraptor, he went back to Vegetable Garden Island and was ready to start work with a skinning knife.

What a bother.

This creature had hair, and specifically those comical little wings were especially hard to deal with.

It took a lot of effort to clean it up.

Finally, after he finished cleaning it, he looked at the clock hanging next to him and realized it was time to go to the city to sell vegetables.

Looking at the cleaned-up Microraptor, Yan Fei showed a stern expression, then directly transformed into a Pterosaur.

He picked up the Microraptor with his beak, tipped his head back, and swallowed it whole.

The first thing he did when he turned back into a person was to touch his stomach.

How amazing!

Thinking about the size of the Microraptor and looking at his own stomach, Yan Fei felt refreshed and invigorated.

Although he still felt a bit uncomfortable psychologically, after a few sips of the warm soup, he felt fine again.

He quietly went out, closed the door, went to the riverside, turned into a cinerous Vulture, and flew towards Wancheng City.

The vision of a cinerous Vulture at night was not as good as that of a Pterosaur!

After flying for a while, Yan Fei became impatient.

Even though he knew that there were no dangers in the sky of the human world, he was accustomed to the near-night-vision capabilities of the Pterosaur and didn’t like being a vulture.

Therefore, as the cinerous Vulture kept flying higher and getting bigger, it soon transformed into a Pterosaur again.

But after flapping his wings a few times, he had to lower his flying altitude and transform back into a cinerous Vulture.

Because he had reached Wancheng City.

After selling his vegetables at a lightning-fast pace, Yan Fei left the city and stopped flying.

Instead, he ran into the wheat field, transformed into a Rapator, and began to run wildly.

Even though the Rapator looked ridiculous, after all, it was much larger than the Compsognathus.

By getting used to the body and speed of the Microraptor, Yan Fei felt much safer while moving around Cow Breeding Island than he did as a Compsognathus.

On the way back, he surprisingly encountered a dumb rabbit.

The Rapator, despite its funny little wings, still had an incredibly light body.

It could run very fast, even in the wheat field, albeit stepping on the soft soil of the wheat field.

Besides, its slightly taller body didn’t slow it like the gradually growing wheat would the Compsognathus.

It was really quite handy, except for the fluff and a few feathers, but especially those red and green feathers, which were incredibly awkward to look at.

As dawn began to break, Yan Fei had already reached the vicinity of the school.

He conscientiously sat in the classroom and attended morning classes.

The curriculum of junior high includes important subjects like math, language, and English in the morning.

He couldn’t miss school every day, at least he had to learn something, otherwise, he wouldn’t even know where the questions came from during exams, and that would be disastrous.

Actually, he didn’t even wait for the entire morning.

As soon as the third class was over, Yan Fei ran home.

He hurried home and began looking for a knife.

Almost at the end of the third class, he casually “looked” at Cow Breeding Island and surprisingly found an Iguanodon which had just been killed by several Terrestrisuchus.

Yan Fei planned to take advantage of this situation.

He found a kitchen knife in the kitchen, held it and made a comparison for a while, then found that it was too small compared to the Iguanodon.

Fortunately, there were other knives in the blacksmith’s shop, such as a pig-killing knife, which seemed perfect.

After carefully arranging a few of his only butcher knives, he began to prepare to get a taste of meat from the mouth of a Terrestrisuchus.

He had been exploring Cow Breeding Island and hadn’t even started planning on how to incorporate Iguanodon into his food menu.

He had seen a few dead Iguanodons in the past two days, but they were not fresh.

Now that he had come across a fresh one, there was no reason not to seize it.

He was thinking of waiting until a few Terrestrisuchus were full before leaving.

Yet, while they were eating, a couple more came swaggering over.

One Iguanodon was big enough, and the Terrestrisuchus that fed on it earlier didn’t mind.

They each lay down and peacefully dined together.

How could this be acceptable?

Yan Fei quickly ran out and bought several big bunches of firecrackers from the street.

He prepared to use the same trick he had used to bully the Compsognathus, to scare these greedy crocodiles away.

The firecrackers exploded with sparks set amidst a white smoke.

As expected, these magical items, which first originated from burning bamboo and were known as firecrackers, had evolved over years.

They had been used by humans for over two thousand years and once again served Yan Fei’s kitchen well.

The Terrestrisuchus had never seen such a thing before.

Contrary to their rough exterior, they were quite fragile and were instantly scared into hiding.

Yan Fei carefully picked up a butcher knife and began to select the best cut of meat from the dead Iguanodon.

Avoiding the bitten parts and the belly, he found part of the untouched thigh resting on the ground.

The skin was so thick that his butcher knife was hardly effective.

The surrounding Terrestrisuchus had already gathered around again, and he hadn’t even cut through to the bone!

“Purr… Purr…”

The low purring noise came from the throats of the Terrestrisuchus.

For these large reptiles, competitors for food were mortal enemies.

Once the shock of the firecrackers subsided, they were ready to fight for the food.

Yan Fei was keeping an eye on them!

Any idiot would know that the Terrestrisuchus wouldn’t give up easily.

His butcher knife had hardly made a dent when it hit the bone, so he had to carve out more meat until he found the joints in order to have any hope of severing the limb.

“Pop Pop Pop…”

Another big bunch of firecrackers was thrown out, driving the Terrestrisuchus away in the midst of the smoke.

Chopping and chopping, he really needed to find a place to get some big knives, this was just not working!

You might think that cutting off a leg would be easy, but it really depends on the leg.

Even though Iguanodons typically moved on all fours, their two legs still allowed them to move incredibly fast.

How thick must the leg be to support such a massive weight?

How large and strong would a knife have to be to cut off such a leg?

Sweating profusely from the effort, Yan Fei several times considered grabbing a bit of meat and calling it a day.

However, looking at the effort he’d already put in, he didn’t want his work to go to waste.

“Pop Pop Pop…”

Another bunch of firecrackers was thrown out…

Chop, chop, chop.

His newly-resupplied butcher knife had almost given out.

“Pop Pop Pop…”

He continued to throw firecrackers.

The Terrestrisuchus, either dumb as a doorpost or stubborn, refused to leave.

After a few rounds of firecrackers, they didn’t fear them as much and while they didn’t venture too close, they watched the firecrackers explode nearby.

It seemed that this one-size-fits-all move was no longer as effective.

However, Yan Fei was just about to be successful.

He was using all his strength to swing the butcher knife around like crazy, when he suddenly felt the big leg of the Iguanodon sink heavily downwards.

Success!

Yan Fei didn’t stop to celebrate, but instantly hauled up the mammoth Iguanodon leg with all his might, and disappeared from the spot, avoiding the advancing Terrestrisuchus.
