Chapter 207: First Appearance As Mates

Jules’ pov

Even though I was nervous as hell, I wouldn’t deny that I was also a little excited. There’s a small urge to flaunt Blaze in a lot of omega’s faces, like Landon for example.

I wanted everyone to see that the boy whom they all bullied when he newly arrived, is now mated to the one whom everyone was afraid of. And now that I’m under Blaze’s claim and protection in school, I’m a little tempted to use that power to get back at the people who have once bullied me.

Although I’m aware of the fact that doing something like that is gonna be really low of me, which is the only reason why I wouldn’t be doing something like that.

When the driver who had sunglasses on held the door of the suv open, I exhaled slowly as I mumbled my thanks to him before stepping out of the car. Blaze slid out after me, and he slung my bag containing my school supplies across my shoulder as his eyes darted around.

I tried getting him to let me carry my bag but of course, he refused, and here we are. I spotted the large buses meant for carrying normal students to and fro, and that was enough indication that the students were already in class now.

Blaze and I are a little late, or a lot late, because it took a lot of tries for us to leave the apartment since he just wouldn’t stop kissing me.

"My first day returning to school with you and I’m arriving late, everyone are gonna say you’re rubbing off on me." I point out as we step into the see through elevator of the school. Blaze let out a loud snort as he pushed his hair out of his face, appearing completely unbothered.

"It’s not my fault is lips is so addictive." He drawled in response and I blushed a little underneath his gaze.

"So cute." He cooed as he brushed his fingers through my hair. I pinked up even more as I shoved his hand off and patted my hair down, and then I leveled him with a stern look.

"When I get access to my powers, I’ll show you cute." I tell him and a grin tugged at his lips.

"Oh, yeah? You gonna turn me into a spider or a roach?"

I rolled my eyes just as he tugged me against his chest and pillowed his jaw on my head, hand wrapping around my waist. It was like he was trying to get more of his scent on me, like I wasn’t already reeking of him enough. At this point, his scent was all I could pick up whenever I sniff at my skin, and he loved that so much, it’s clear in how his eyes darkened whenever he sniffed and mouthed at my throat.

When we approached the class, I felt my heartbeat accelerate at once. The students in the hallway were already giving us shocked stares as we walked past them, but I couldn’t recognize any of them, so I tried to tune them out.

Blaze’s arm was draped around my shoulder as I took in a deep breath before pushing the classroom door open.

From one glance, it was clear that there was no teacher inside. A lot of ruckus was going on in the class, a lot of students were huddled around different circles, and some were just running around. Combined together, they were making a lot of noise.

However, it took a few seconds for everything to die down at once. One moment, everywhere was loud, and the next, all eyes were on us and it was so silent that you could hear a pin drop.

The first person I noticed was Taylor.

He was sitting in the middle row, a few lines to the front, and on his table, sat Kai. It looked like they were in a deep conversation, but as soon as they noticed our presences, the shock was starkly painted across their faces. Taylor’s mouth hunged open and his eyes zeroed in on my covered throat, but no one needed to see the mark to know that I was already mated to him, anyone could be able to tell from our mixed scents alone.

Kai’s shocked expression was almost comical, his usually emotionless face was morphed in shock and I tore my eyes from his face, eyes darting around the room. It briefly landed on Josh who was too shocked to move, his mouth parted a little. I spotted Elio and a boy whose name I couldn’t recognize. Elio didn’t look that shocked, but his partner had his jaw on the floor.

My eyes landed on Landon next. He was seated on a desk, and the five omegas huddled around the table, all had matching shocked expressions. Landon’s shock quickly morphed into a dark scowl and to drive the point home, I reached for his hand loosely resting on my chest and gripped it. The darkened scowl on Landon’s face left a pleased feeling behind in my chest.

That’s right, loser. Catch it!

"Will anyone care to explain why you’re all staring at us? If you have something to say, go ahead and say it. It’s a free world, after all." Blaze drawled and it was like he flipped a switch, because in the next moment, it was like the spell broke and everyone hurriedly returned to what they were previously doing. Although, the noise didn’t return.

Even though they’ve all looked away, everyone was clearly still tense.

I let out a low breath, enjoying the way Blaze’s squeezed the hand which I had wrapped around his, and then he steered up through the spaces between the rows, walking past two students who completely stopped breathing.

Taylor’s eyes locked with mine and I got filled with anger as what Blaze revealed to me flashed through my mind. I was tempted to confront him right now, but I reminded myself that this wasn’t the right time.

It was until Blaze got to the very back of the class that I noticed Xander, and at once, I instantly stiffened.

Xander had a monstrous scowl across his face, but Blaze didn’t acknowledge him. I didn’t let my eyes linger on him too much either.

Next, my eyes zeroed in on Malachi and I felt my heartbeat slow down as the memory of the vile vampire trying to drown me on my first day of school flashed through me. That incident completely traumatized me and I wasn’t sure if I’d ever recover from it. He had never approached me since then, but sometimes, just like today, I notice him watching me. He had a surprised look in his eyes right before I averted my gaze.

Xander and Malachi were sitting in the last seats of the first row.

Blaze walked to the empty seat beside each other at the very back of the second row and sank into it, tugging me across his laps next.

Everyone were sneaking glances at us, and it was outrightly mortifying. I tried getting up from Blaze’s laps and taking the seat beside him, but his hold around my waist didn’t let up. With everyone pretending to not be staring at us– and failing woefully, Blaze nuzzled at my throat and let out a groan loud enough for everyone to hear since the entire class was quiet.

Within myself, I acknowledged the fact that today is undoubtedly gonna be long.
