Jules’ pov

The car pulled up in front of the prey’s dormitory, on Blaze’s order. After we alighted the car, I casted a weary glance across the familiar, looming building.

A bunch of students were entering and exiting the building, in normal clothes and in the school uniform, and they’re all a mixture of omegas and betas.

Predators are strictly forbidden from entering this dormitory, for the safety of the preys.

"I’ll be out super fast, I’ll only grab my uniform and a change of clothes, and some school supplies." I began to speak while staring up at him. The reason why we stopped here first is because I couldn’t clear out my dorm just yet, it was gonna take more than one trip, and I wanted to spend the night with Blaze, so we agreed that I’d only pick up some necessities.

Blaze casted a bored look at the building before shaking his head. "I should definitely come with you."

My eyes widened as I threw a quick look around, people were already giving us wary glances and I didn’t miss the frightened expressions on their faces.

"Is that gonna be okay? Predators aren’t allowed in there." I mumbled and he shrugged.

"I’m not gonna do a thing to anyone, and we’d be quick." He assured me and I casted one more glance around.

"The security guards might not let you in..." I began and Blaze snorted out a laugh.

"Oh, they will."

As we walked through the hallway of the prey dormitory, I bit on my bottom lip and tried to ignore how everyone huddled against the walls in fright as we walked past. Some people literally flew into their rooms at the sight of Blaze, some tripped on air, and one omega even pissed his pants.

That left a low feeling within my insides and I decided there and then that I didn’t like that everyone is so afraid of him. Why are they so scared of him?

I got the door of my dorm open and Blaze and I slipped in. With the door closed, I slumped against it and let out a long breath.

"Well, that was something."

"They were all scared, it’s amusing as usual." He drawled as his eyes wandered around as he walked forward.

"That fucker Andrian surely outdid himself while setting this place up." He commented as he eyed the part of the sitting room that had a full gaming console set.

I brushed my hair out of my face as I walked into the kitchen to get a drink of water.

I was washing my hands in the sink when Blaze arrived, leaning against the door and taking up the entire space. Once I was done, I walked towards him and stopped in front of him, unsure of how to table my next word.

"Is there..." I trailed off, biting on my bottom lip and staring down at my fingers.

"Is something wrong?" Blaze asked and I hurriedly shook my head.

"No, there’s no problem! I’m just... curious." I revealed and he hummed, brows arched.

"You can ask me anything, bunny." He assured me and I nodded slowly before exhaling and pushing my hair out of my face.

"Why is everyone here in school so afraid of you?" I paused after asking the question. "Like, did they witness you do something to a student... that makes them all so... so frightened and horrified at the thought of your presence."

Blaze remained silent for a bit and I almost began to regret asking that question.

"Do you want honesty or do you want an answer you’d like?" He asked bluntly and I bit on my bottom lip, heartbeat accelerated as I contemplated.

I definitely wanted honesty, but would I be able to handle it?

"Honesty." I ended up whispering in response and a grin broke out across his handsome face.

"Perfect choice, mate." He drawled and I felt my pulse jump.

"In all honesty, the majority of the things that fly around concerning me... are just rumors. But, some of the things they talk about are definitely true. Say for example, I’ve definitely killed some students before simply because they irritated me... or because I was bored, I can’t quite remember."

My mouth fell open, eyes widening as I slowly nodded.

"Oh." I whispered, feeling dazed and he hummed, scratching his jaw as he continued.

"I’ve killed a handful of teachers, two principals– oh, make that three, if you count Eugene. And well, some students have had to transfer to different schools with a broken limb or two." He continued and I suddenly felt dizzy.

"Why?" I whispered, hand massaging my forehead and he shrugged, lips twitching and eyes gleaming.

"Well, for one... it’s entertaining." He began and I nodded, of course it was entertaining to him, what else was I expecting to hear?

"That’s... that’s definitely interesting." I breathed out, and when I tried walking past him, he easily blocked my path.

"Are you scared?" He asked and as I blinked up at him, after a few moments, I realized that even after hearing all that, I still wasn’t scared of him.

I shook my head slowly in response. "No, no. I’m not."

He remained silent for a few moments before his hands wrapped around my waist, tugging me against his chest while his eyes bored into mine.

"Brave, but dumb." He breathed out. "But also smart, because you know I’d never hurt you." He continued and I felt my heart flutter as I slid my hands across his waist.

"Will... will you stop killing people unnecessarily? So that they won’t be so scared of you." I whispered before I could stop myself and a small crease appeared in his forehead.

"Does it bother you? That everyone is afraid of me?" He asked and I bit on my tongue, unsure of how to word this response.

I loved that he commanded so much respect and fear with just his name, and I liked how powerful his presence alone is. But at the same time, I wished people weren’t so scared of him because to me, he is nothing but a wolf he loves cuddles and I sometimes wished that what anyone can see when they look at him.

"It doesn’t, but I- I’d definitely love to introduce you to my friends, for example." I finally responded and he snorted.

"Which one? The dumb omega?" He asked and I winced because he was clearly referring to Taylor, whom I was yet to be on good terms with.

"He hates you so much, and I don’t know why." I mumbled and Blaze hummed.

"Did you ask him why?" Blaze asked and I nodded solemnly.

"Countless times, but he refused to say. That’s why we even fell out, because he wanted me to stay away from you at all cost and be with Kai instead..." I was still speaking that I didn’t even realize Blaze was scowling till his grip significantly tightened around me.

"Blaze?" I called out tentatively and he sighed as his hold softened.

"I’m gonna have a talk with Kai, it’s long overdue. And as for that dumb little omega, you need to stay away from him, because he clearly doesn’t have your best interest in heart."

I blinked slowly. "He doesn’t?"

A single nod. "He clearly doesn’t. What he’s after is his own personal desire." He continued and I blinked again, feeling extremely confused.

"What do you mean..."

"Did Taylor ever tell you that I’ve fucked him before?" He suddenly asked and my mouth dropped open.
