Chapter 144: At The Cafe

Jules’ pov

It didn’t take long for the car to pull up in front of what looks like a cafe.

"We’re having this discussion in a cafe?" Kim asked after a fleeting moment just as the engine of the car got turned off.

"Jules needs to eat, so that’s where we’d have the conversation." Blaze responding without wasting time and i felt my heart flutter a little.

Kim pursed his lips and remained silent and Blaze opened the door and slid out, and then he held a hand out to me, which I accepted with slightly flushed cheeks because of the two onlookers from the front of the car.

Kim stepped out of the car as well, along with Roy who was bouncing on his feet.

"Wait in the car." Blaze said to Roy but he huffed and shook his head adamantly.

"But I’m hungry too! I wanna eat as well." He almost whined out in response and I watched as Blaze scowled at him, but Roy didn’t seem fazed in any way. If anything, he only grinned harder until Blaze reluctantly agreed for him to come with us.

We headed into the cafe in the next moment, and it was thankfully not packed up. Roy selected a table by the window and we all moved towards that exact one. Our sitting arrangements had me beside Blaze, with Roy and Kim sitting in front of us.

Roy signaled the waitress over and instantly relayed his order. I wasn’t sure of what to get, so I picked something simple. Blaze ordered coffee and Kim declined ordering anything.

"I’m on a diet." He said with a shrug like that was supposed to explain anything.

Once the waitress left to go prepare our orders, Blaze instructed for Kim to start speaking.

His eyes darted towards Roy in the next moment.

"No offense but is he supposed to be present for that kind of conversation?" He asked, staring at Blaze as he spoke.

"No offense taken, Kim. Kim Angelo Gerald, aged 20, disowned heir of your grandfather’s inheritance." Roy responded before Blaze could be able to and Kim appeared so taken aback that it was almost comical.

"You’ve looked me up." Kim stated, matter of factly and Roy only shrugged and smirked slyly without saying anything.

"Roy can stay. He works for me." Blaze finally responded and Kim gave Roy another long look before returning his focus to Blaze.

He leaned forward as he began to speak.

"So, I’ve been ordered to trick and have Jules captured before the end of tomorrow." Kim began and I got so taken aback, it was like I got shoved in the chest.

"Tomorrow? That fast and you didn’t bother letting me know of this since the minute you got informed?" Blaze demanded in a growl, voice low and filled with anger.

Kim shifted in his seat as he continued. "I- I told you we needed to talk about it since the moment i got the order, it’s you who took this long to finally listen to me." He defended himself but Blaze only grew angrier.

"You fool. You were supposed to have let me know about this no matter what. Okay, let’s say I still didn’t schedule this meeting tomorrow? You’d have tried abducting him again tomorrow?" He questioned and I washed as Kim swallowed emptily while biting on his bottom lip, clearly unsure of what to say next in response.

"I- I’d have found a way to inform you about it. I’m so sorry, this won’t happen again, I promise." Kim apologized.

The waitress arrived with our orders and everyone had to stop talking until we were left alone again.

Roy dug into his order immediately while Blaze slowly sipped on his coffee, I stared at my own order, feeling too sick to eat after what Kim had just informed us. The reason why those people want me this bad is completely beyond me, but I had a feeling it must definitely be for a really bad thing.

"So... what are we gonna do now?" Kim asked and Blaze snorted.

"Stop sounding like you care, you fool." Blaze snapped and Kim slapped his mouth close.

Blaze held a hand out in the next moment.

"Give you the passwords to your social media accounts."

Kim spluttered as he blinked slowly.

"What?"

Blaze didn’t respond and soon, Kim began to stumble over his words about how he didn’t understand why Blaze was asking.

"Kim." Blaze called out after a few moments and Kim reluctantly but urgently tapped away on his phone before handing it to Blaze who took one long glance at it and handed it back to him.

"That password should remain unchanged until whenever I say so." Blaze instructed and an uneasy look settled across Kim’s face.

"Why though?"

"That’s so I’d be able to delete the accounts whenever I want, so you better be careful to not fuck up a single thing now that you’re working for me."

Blaze tapped away on his phone once he was done and when he turned the phone around, I realized he had logged into Kim’s accounts.

Kim had over half a million followers on instagram. No wonder he’s such a diva.

"I can easily hack into those accounts if I want to, but I wanted you to give me the passwords yourself, like you just did. This way, you need to keep it at the back of your mind that I can get rid of these accounts with a single tap. I know how these accounts are literally your life, I believe this should be enough to remind you to always be careful to not make a stupid mistake like betraying me or something."

By the time he was done speaking, a glassy look was in Kim’s eyes as he averted his gaze.

"I’m gonna come up with a plan and I’ll call you over tonight, you can get lost now." Blaze continued after a few minutes and Kim pursed his lips as he hesitated before sliding out of his seat and stomping away without looking back.

"He’s so hot." Roy blurted out as the door slammed close after him and I couldn’t agree more.

He really is.
