Lake woke up first, a soft groan falling past his lips as he did. Fractured images from the night before spilled like the morning sun.

He might have gotten a little too impassioned last night, because what made him think it was a great idea to ask Davian not to pull out?

His slight movement woke the Alpha pressed up behind him, Davian’s hold on him tightening.

"Are you awake?" His hoarse voice sent tingles down Lake’s spine.

He was barely halfway through when he heard a crash from his room. With his heart in his mouth, he dashed through the door that he had indulgently left open to find Lake on the ground with a sad pout on his face.

"Where did you go?" The teary Omega complained while reaching out to him, "I woke up and you were gone."

Davian was stunned but he closed the distance between them despite them, letting Lake clamber into his arms.

Lake hadn’t roused even once while they had been in the bathroom, but he stepped out of the room for a few minutes, and he was wide awake.

Maybe he needed to call in Doctor Perez for another checkup.
