Bone Alchemist: Necromancer of The Aberrations -
Chapter 86: New Start, New Goal
Chapter 86: New Start, New Goal
Cambela’s eyes widened. Had an entire world become undead? Did that even make sense?
Of course not, nothing made sense.
"Well then, Azure... can you move? I mean the planet—are you capable of moving the planet through space?"
Jeremy’s question was legitimate. And it was exactly what they needed to escape the invaders.
Speaking of them, Ade had said he’d slowed them down for a bit. It was thanks to him that Jeremy had succeeded in his goal.
Sure, he hadn’t expected to create something like that, but it was nice.
"Of course, Master. Where would you like to go?" Azure’s voice was indifferent. Even though he didn’t have a mouth, his voice could be heard all over the area. Well, obviously—he was the world itself, so maybe that wasn’t so strange... maybe.
"Mh... far from here. Pick a random direction and let’s follow it."
"Master, if I may..."
"Sure, tell me everything. Don’t be afraid to share your opinion."
"It’s not advisable to move in a random direction. The universe is vast, and if we move without a plan, we risk getting lost in the void of space."
"Oh? I hadn’t thought of that... so what do you suggest?"
"If I’m not mistaken, the devils came here in a spaceship... why don’t we take the coordinates of their base, their galactic map, and... cause some chaos with them?"
Despite lacking a face, Jeremy could swear that, as Azure said those final words, he was grinning wickedly.
The boy let out a small laugh. He was impressed by Azure’s way of thinking. Even he hadn’t thought of that.
After all, he was the world. And judging by his potential—something that even his other Aberrations didn’t have... he was special.
In particular, while Drae’mon’s potential was equal to his, his Aberrations always had a higher level of potential.
But this time, with the achievement of PRIMORDIAL potential, the Aberrations had slowed down.
From what he could see, above PRIMORDIAL was ETERNUM. Jeremy had never heard of such a thing.
He had long surpassed what Okoron, his former self, had accomplished.
SuperCannon, the only other Aberration to have received the Osseoth upgrade, had only PRIMORDIAL+ potential.
While Jeremy was thinking about all this, Azure spoke, as if reading his mind.
"It’s normal, Master. After all, I was formed with an entire planet as my base. I’m potentially better than anything else."
Jeremy looked at him. He was very curious about the power of this addition, but somehow he could feel it.
If he used his power to merge with him, like he did before—borrowing the power of Drae’mon and SuperCannon... he couldn’t even imagine the power.
A blast of energy capable of blowing up an entire world?
Jeremy’s mind was exploding at the thought of something like that. Who wouldn’t want such a power?
But that was something for the future. For now, he had to do what Azure had suggested. Namely, check the spaceship.
"Well then, Azure, take me to the spaceship. We’ll play their own game and destroy them!"
Cambela, who had been silent until then, suddenly spoke.
"I can’t wait to see those dogs suffer. They’ll pay for everything they put me through."
A cold glint flashed in her eyes.
No one said anything, but everyone could imagine what the woman was feeling.
"Well, now you know how I felt, seeing you create all those Gates, bringing devastation to me—the world."
Azure replied in a... sarcastic tone. It was hard to tell, after all his voice was monotone, almost robotic.
The woman didn’t reply. She just looked away, embarrassed.
Azure said nothing more. Then, with a snap of his fingers, something surprising happened.
The spaceship appeared before them.
"There’s no need to move. The world is our playground, Master. Once you reach Stellar Rank, you’ll be able to use me in many other ways."
Jeremy looked at him with a strange expression... what Azure said made sense. His way of thinking was limited.
He only thought about explosions, destruction, and things like that. There was so much more...
But oh well, it wasn’t his problem. What are allies for, after all? To cover your weaknesses.
And so, Jeremy, Cambela, and Azure approached the spaceship.
It wasn’t very large—only about ten meters long and three wide.
"Let me go first. I know how these things work. They have security layers. They only respond to devils. That’s how we prevent other races from exploiting our machinery."
Said Cambela as she approached the spaceship’s hatch first.
The security system worked with aura. This spaceship wasn’t top secret, it was pretty low-grade, so security was minimal, but it was there.
"To enter, you need to possess the aura of a devil."
Jeremy placed a hand under his chin. He wondered how they were supposed to get in. Couldn’t they just destroy everything?
"No, Master, that’s not possible."
As if she had read his thoughts, Cambela scolded him.
’Is it really that easy to read what I’m thinking?’ Jeremy’s eyes widened as he thought about it.
"Yes, Master... after all, you love destroying everything... but no, that’s not the case this time. But don’t worry. After all, who am I?"
And with that, Cambela unleashed her Genetic Essence concept, modifying their auras to appear like those of devils.
"Done, now we can enter."
See? That’s what allies are for, Jeremy thought again.
And with that, the three approached the hatch.
But just as it began to open, a thought gripped the boy’s mind.
’How did all those devils fit in such a small space?’
And just as he thought that, the hatch opened.
But unlike what he expected, the interior wasn’t visible. Instead, a red-colored portal appeared, serving as the entrance.
"This way," said Cambela, drawing the group’s attention.
And so, the three entered this space.
The inside of the spaceship was simple—but immense.
Big enough to host thousands and thousands of devils.
"Well, of course... space magic." Jeremy let those words slip out.
And so, the three began wandering, searching for space coordinates and a map.
All of this was for Azure to travel safely through the universe. It was too important to let slip.
And after rummaging a bit, the three came out with the loot.
"Excellent, we have a destination." Azure wasted no time.
After obtaining the coordinates, he began performing his magic.
The inner world began to tremble, but only for a second.
This didn’t go unnoticed.
It’s just that... no one could notice it, after all, the world was now inhabited only by non-sentient beings.
That tremor was nothing but the world accelerating and picking up speed.
Its travel speed wasn’t high, but it had nothing to envy from a spaceship like the one the devils had arrived in.
"Well, we’re en route. We should arrive near the Ebonveil solar system in about five days."
"Good, enough time for further evolutions. After all, we’ve got an army to build and ideas to bring to life."
After exchanging a few more words, Cambela left the group.
She needed to be in her lab to manage her task best.
"Well, now that everything’s ready, we can rest a bit before moving on to other matters... I feel tired, like I’ve been fighting for ten days straight."
Jeremy used his powers one last time that day to create a dwelling.
It wasn’t too opulent, it just had to let him rest for a day. He really needed it.
And so, 12 hours passed.
Jeremy had slept for half a day.
But there was no light or darkness to mark the passage of time.
Since they had begun moving, they were no longer orbiting their own sun in the solar system. But, of course, that wasn’t a problem.
Azure took care of maintaining the planet’s temperature and constant lighting.
But again, that wasn’t a problem. The world was no longer inhabited by common beings... the concept of temperature no longer mattered.
"Ah, that was just what I needed."
Jeremy stretched. Not that he needed to—it was just a habit.
"Well, let’s start with a bath. I really want to relax a bit..."
And so, after cleaning, drying, changing, and adjusting himself, Jeremy looked at himself in the mirror.
He was naked.
His physique had changed a lot since he began his adventure. Sculpted abs, strong and toned muscles. His face was handsome and mysterious.
In short, he couldn’t look better than this.
Also, he didn’t have to worry about outfits anymore.
He had Osseoth at his disposal—a versatile material capable of anything.
And so, using his memories, Jeremy decided to use his power to create a simple pair of black pants and a short-sleeved black shirt. On his feet, a pair of luxurious black shoes.
"Mh, not bad."
And with this new outfit, Jeremy left the bathroom.
He had less than five days to become even stronger and destroy the Ebonveil Empire. He couldn’t waste too much time chatting or resting.
He had to act.
And while waiting for Cambela’s Elixirs, Jeremy had only one other thing to do.
Go to Rose Redspine.
And just as he was in his living room, thinking about this, Azure appeared before him.
"Master... there’s no need."
With a snap of his fingers, the woman appeared before them.
She had been awake for a while.
And through Azure, she had understood many things.
She didn’t know what to think... everything she knew had been shattered. Her family destroyed, her city... everything.
But then, using an Elixir of Control v2, Rose returned to her usual self, not asking too many questions about the current world.
Very useful.
And so, Jeremy began asking for more information about the Gate he had ended up in at the beginning.
And so, the days passed quickly...
