Chapter 81: Supremacy

The entire lightless planet Jeremy was on was devastated by a deafening noise.

Darkness covered every inch of space, there was no place to run.

Then, every sound was swallowed by the growing darkness, every movement forced to stop due to the absence of gravity.

It felt like the end of the world.

Well, technically, the devil was collapsing his domain to bury the boy inside it.

"Obscura Explosion."

Prish’s words were a death sentence.

If he did not manage to kill the human with this attack, then he too might die.

They simply were not on the same level for a prolonged fight.

He did not have time to wait for reinforcements.

So, with those final words, a soundless explosion engulfed Jeremy and the entire domain.

"..."

A few seconds later, Prish found himself flying through the atmosphere of planet Azure, completely drained.

That last strike had exhausted him completely, despite having almost instantly recovered from the initial SuperCannon attack by using his Obscura Singularity.

However, even after sacrificing all his energy, his domain, and his Obscura Singularity, Prish was satisfied.

"Ah, living is the best thing, after all. No matter how many sacrifices are needed. As long as one manages to survive, everything is justified."

Prish’s murmur was the only audible thing.

His body, besides being out of energy, appeared destroyed. After all, he had sacrificed part of himself.

But he was not in mortal danger.

But after a few seconds of relaxation, a strange sound, like a snap, thundered in his ears.

Turning around, he saw something completely insane.

"How could I not notice this thing?!?"

Just a few hundred meters in front of him stood a shiny white sphere.

Its diameter was about three meters; it was impossible not to see it.

Yet, Prish had not noticed it at all.

Until a small crack formed on that pearly and smooth surface.

"Well, then it’s over..."

Prish’s expression was resigned.

With that last attack, he had truly done everything.

He did not think it was useless.

"At least I’ll die with no regrets. After all, I deserve some rest—"

As soon as he said these words, a strange sensation gripped his mind.

Would he even be able to rest once dead?

It was a stupid question, yet, after observing what the boy had done to his kind not long before, it did not seem so stupid anymore.

"Shit..."

That was his last thought before more and more cracks formed on the sphere.

Then, with a bang, it broke.

Inside it, all curled up, was Jeremy in his battle form.

He had survived, naturally.

Not even a scratch on the surface of his new body.

He had politely used one of Drae’mon’s abilities. The boy’s musculoskeletal system had been elevated to a much higher level, allowing Jeremy to create a barrier made of pure Osseoth outside his body.

But that was not all.

The substance used was not just simple Osseoth.

Inside it flowed its liquid version, gently pumped by his heart, making the sphere much more robust and powerful than it could ever have been.

Moreover, thanks to his respiratory organs, the sphere’s volume had been compressed to the minimum possible, packing as much Osseoth as possible inside the sphere.

As a result, Jeremy’s barrier was so powerful that Prish’s full-power strike was completely ineffective.

Not a single scratch on the sphere’s surface.

"Nice shot, but that’s all. Goodbye—"

Bringing his hands together and opening their palms, Jeremy prepared a full-power attack.

This time he would not hold back.

Oh, not at all.

The energy of the entire planet was drained into that attack, making it catastrophic.

It was not just a simple energy beam.

It was the very definition of Arkhéon.

A rainbow arrow formed, shining so intensely that the darkness which had previously engulfed the world due to Prish’s outburst was replaced by a radiant multicolored glow.

Every living being on the planet experienced the same thing.

Blindness.

But it lasted only a brief moment.

"No, shit, wait, I can not disintegrate him—"

Jeremy was about to launch his attack when he realized he needed at least a carcass to use as undead.

Fortunately, he remembered in time, greatly reducing the power of his attack.

And so, the multicolored arrow shot straight at Prish’s head.

The devil gave only a small nod before his head evaporated.

"He was a decent opponent. If it were not for my power-up, I would’ve died..."

Said Jeremy, removing his wolf-shaped helmet. Then, his entire armor vanished from his body, as if it had never been there.

Looking at Prish’s headless corpse, a slight smile blossomed on his face.

It was easy to guess what he was thinking.

Aberrations.

New and powerful life forms that would enhance his entire being.

He could not wait to experiment and create more.

However, the creation of Aberrations had become limited.

Not because of him—he could create a large number of them.

However, to maximize their effects, he needed Cambela.

With these thoughts in mind and Prish’s headless body, Jeremy turned back.

But on the way back, he sensed a strange gaze upon him.

"..."

Someone was staring at him challengingly. No, they seemed dissatisfied.

It was as if Jeremy had committed a crime of some kind in front of the eye of a supreme judge.

No, suddenly the number of gazes increased.

Another judge had witnessed his crimes.

But what exactly had he done?

It did not take long to understand. After all, now Jeremy was one with his Thalgriths.

"...sorry—" the boy murmured an apology. After all, those staring at him intensely were none other than Drae’mon and SuperCannon.

"I know you wanted to be the ones to show me your powers," Jeremy added with his head down, "But the situation was really bad... you know, I could’ve died..."

Obviously, aside from looking sulky, the two Thalgriths could not do anything to their master.

They would’ve liked to show what they were capable of, but had not had the chance. And now it was too late—he had already used their powers.

Well, Drae’mon in particular still had other secrets, and the same went for SuperCannon, but many of their abilities had been revealed.

"Alright, stop looking at me like that. You make me feel like a monster. Besides, I already apologized..."

And with those words, Drae’mon approached Jeremy, settling on his shoulders, while SuperCannon turned and crouched, as if inviting Jeremy to ride him.

"Apology accepted, I guess."

With one hand, he petted the little skeleton’s head, and with the other, he stroked the back of the wolf.

After all, he had only one hand available, while the wolf had two heads...

And so, the trio descended from the sky to rejoin the others.

Meanwhile, inside the parallel reality where, by some strange fate, Yvanna had ended up trapped.

"Oh, but let me introduce myself—" an unnatural smile painted his face, making his holy appearance far more sinister. "I am Ade, ruler of hell."

Upon hearing those words, Yvanna’s face lost some of its color.

A being of that level calling himself the ruler of something... was not a good sign at all.

"But do not worry, weak creature," he continued, "I’m not here to kill. At least, I hope I do not have to. Also, I’m not here for you.

I would not have accepted this call for help otherwise."

The being approached with steady steps toward a pale-faced Yvanna, one knee on the ground.

She looked pitiful, nothing like how she had appeared not long before.

"I’m here because I sensed an unusual... power." As he spoke the last word, Ade’s eyes sharpened for a second.

Thinking about what he had just seen made him pensive, almost cautious.

Not because of the power level, but because of its potential.

Yvanna said nothing, simply staring at the creature before her. Needless to say, she was terrified.

She had tried to escape from that reality again, but it was useless.

But despite everything, with great effort, she rose from the ground.

Then, she looked the being in the eyes and, with a voice worthy of an empress, spoke.

"I do not know what you’re talking about. All I know is that you won’t get out of here... alive." Her words nearly caught in her throat, but with great willpower, she managed to say what she wanted.

Ade looked at the human with a smirk on his face.

He did not take her words seriously at all.

Also, he was not annoyed. After all, for her, not knowing a being of his stature was not a problem.

"Ah, blissful ignorance. But how could I get mad at such an inferior, defenseless, and stupid being like you?

To draw a comparison with you humans... would you get angry if an ant got in your way?

I imagine not... it’s just an ant, not even worth asking why it did it. You crush it and move on, indifferent.

That’s how I see you." The being’s smile grew even wider. His lips barely did not touch his eyes.

"Then why am I here talking to you, you might ask? Well, it’s simple—" he added, moving an inch from the woman’s face.

"Because it’s fun. I love talking to ants and crushing their ego."

The ruler of hell’s words echoed in Yvanna’s ears for a long time.

She could not come up with any reply.

Every word got stuck in her throat, unable to come out.

She could not find the strength to react.

Yet her mind screamed. Her thoughts writhed in her head like mad snakes, threatening to drive her insane.

"We’re dead, we’re dead—"
