Bloodline Reckoning: The System Made Me Filthy Rich
Chapter 51: Reporter Knows My Name!

Chapter 51: Reporter Knows My Name!

Noah was pleased to see his asset and all the improvements he had made in just a few days since acquiring his system.

Not only has he gained wealth, but his physical health has improved significantly, along with the many skills he now possesses.

Is he ready to face any danger or challenge in the capital?

He didn’t know!

...

After four hours of flying, the jet finally landed.

As Noah descended the plane’s stairs, his phone vibrated incessantly after he turned it on. He reluctantly checked the notification that caused the nonstop vibrations. In the end, he checked it.

He was surprised to receive a buzzing text message from a group chat with his campus colleagues.

’What the hell happened? Why am I still here?’

He remembers being expelled from that group a few months ago. Now, he finds himself amid a heated discussion about Jack Donovan. What shocked him even more was that Julia Hart was also there.

With just a glance, he noticed a few of them mentioning his name and inquiring whether he knew what had happened to Jack.

Julia’s message appears just as Noah is about to leave the group.

"Noah, are you the missing son of Anderson Morgan?"

At that very moment, Noah’s heart begins to race with anxiety.

’Did Julia discover the truth? How could she figure it out so fast?’

Noah didn’t have a chance to clarify because, within moments, the chat group was bombarded with numerous text messages from the other members.

Almost everyone uses the ’laugh out loud’ emoji, and no one believed it was him, the son of Anderson Morgan.

That was all Noah wanted to see—the doubt from everyone.

"Noah, is everything alright?"

Jason’s voice drew Noah’s attention from his cell phone. He promptly returned it to his pocket and nodded slowly at him.

Then, he glanced at the others and saw Alicia standing by the car, talking with Matthew. He also saw Edgar with them.

"Yeah, I’m fine..." Noah reassured Jason as they walked to meet up with the others.

"Edgar, it’s nice to see you again." Noah slightly nods and smiles at him before turning to Alicia. "Have you met Uncle Edgar?"

"Yes, brother. I did..." Alicia nods, looking nervous, while still managing to smile at Noah.

"Ok! Let’s go then..." Noah’s voice trailed off as Edgar interrupted. He looked at him, curious to know what Edgar wanted to say.

"We need to go somewhere. Let Alice go home with Matthew and Jason first."

Seeing Edgar’s usual seriousness, Noah could only nod in agreement to follow him.

After watching Alicia’s car drive away, Noah finally asks Edgar about their destination. He is thrilled to guess they might be heading to see his father, and he has many questions he wants to ask him.

"We’re heading to the command room. It’s inside your penthouse at the Golden Phoenix tower, sir," Edgar said as he opened the car door.

Noah felt a rush of excitement as soon as he heard that. Edgar had brought up the command room from the very beginning, and now they were finally on their way there.

...

Noah had never visited this city; he had only seen the majestic skyline on television and the internet.

But now, he is here, beginning his new life as one of the wealthiest individuals in the nation, even though it was inherited from a father he never met. He silently sighed deeply as he turned to see the street outside.

Still, his mind was filled with so many thoughts that he couldn’t enjoy the stunning city lights as their car cruised to the central business street.

He tried to browse the internet out of curiosity about The Golden Phoenix Group but was stunned by unexpected trending news.

’Holy shit! How could this news leak now?’ Noah can’t help but curse.

After skimming through the news one by one, Noah finally turned to look at Edgar, who was driving next to him.

"Do you know about the latest news, Edgar?"

"What news?" Edgar asked, briefly glancing at him before turning his gaze ahead again.

"There were a few articles about me," Noah answered with concern. "...I mean, the reporters mention my first name in their articles. But they didn’t mention which Noah or city he lived in."

Noah continued to explain his conclusion based on what he had read: Although the reporter knew his first name, no one knew he was Noah Morgan from Opal City. He has not yet seen some of the articles written about his profile.

However, Noah is slightly worried that one of his friends might connect the dots and suspects that it was he whom the news was talking about. He knows they will.

Just thinking about it already stresses him out.

"They found out already!? How fast..." Edgar responded, surprised. However, his surprise lasted only a moment as he calmly continued his words.

"Don’t worry, Matthew will handle it if someone exposes you. And besides, you won’t be in the dark forever, sir. Your father’s other family already knows your father has left his entire wealth to you. Sooner or later, everyone in the family will eventually meet you. And once that happens, we can’t hide you anymore..."

"I know. I know it will come to that eventually," Noah answered calmly.

Before long, their car pulled up to the Golden Phoenix Tower, bypassing the main entrance and proceeding directly to the VIP underground restricted parking area.

No one guards the restricted parking area, but Edgar needs to scan his retina to open the massive gate.

"Access to this location is restricted to a select few individuals, and it features specialized security personnel independent from the main building. The elevator from this entrance services only the floors between the sixtieth and seventieth..."

Noah silently listened to everything Edgar explained as they went to the VIP elevator, an exclusive elevator that only stopped on one floor, the seventieth floor—the command center or control room, as Edgar always told him.

When the elevator opened, Noah was surprised by the view; it was like the luxury lobby he usually saw in five-star hotels.

Noah frowned as he looked at Edgar. Before he could ask a question, a beautiful female voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

’Welcome, Master Noah Morgan...’
