Bloodline Reckoning: The System Made Me Filthy Rich -
Chapter 33: Torture
Chapter 33: Torture
Noah asked Jason to watch over his sister before he followed the leader of the Red Team, Seven, out of the VIP room.
He was surprised to learn that Seven had led him to the empty building near the hospital, only a five-minute drive away.
The three-story building appeared vacant, with just a few lights illuminated.
Noah stayed alert as he followed Seven into the vacant building.
He noticed a few people who had accompanied Seven to the hospital earlier, now guarding silently in various spots.
"Sir, this way..." Seven held the door open for them.
Noah entered the room, his heart racing with tension and anger swirling around him.
Even in the room illuminated only by a yellow light hanging in the middle, Noah could see a man in dark green scrubs that looked familiar, like the doctor scrubs at Green Lake Hospital.
’What the...! A doctor!?’
Noah can’t believe what he saw. Earlier, he thought that the person who injected the poison into her mother might be a nurse.
When Noah finally stood just a few steps away from the doctor seated in the wooden chair with his hands tied behind his back, he was shocked beyond words to recognize him. He was the doctor who delivered the news about his mother’s death.
Instantly, Noah feels his blood boiling in his veins.
How dare he!
After Noah gestured for Seven to remove the duct tape covering the doctor’s mouth, Noah asked, "Who asked you to poison my mother?"
The doctor glared furiously at Noah and shouted, "What the hell are you guys doing? Why did you kidnap me and bring me here?" His eyes were bloodshot, reflecting his anger.
After hearing his confident denial, Noah wanted to deliver a firm slap to the doctor’s head.
How shameless!
Noah knew for sure that this man was the one who killed his mother from the profile the system gave him.
This damn doctor was the one who injected the poison into his mother’s veins. But the funny thing was that this man was just a lackey; someone paid him for it.
Sadly, the system cannot disclose details about the individual who paid him.
’Damn it, system! Why didn’t you provide me with the name?’ Noah expresses his frustration.
He dismisses his system and refocuses on the doctor.
Meeting the doctor’s angry gaze is enough to make Noah want to pull out his eyeballs!
However, he continues to hold back his anger. He still needs him to uncover the identity of the person who paid him!
As Noah activated his ’Negotiation Skill’ to ask the doctor, Seven interrupted him.
"Sir, I apologize for not asking him anything earlier; I was waiting for you to speak to him directly..."
Noah frowned at Seven, his gaze seemingly asking, "Then?"
"Do you want me to torture him?" Seven’s playful smile was enough for Noah to realize his intent: to frighten the doctor.
"Oh, you can actually do that?" When Noah noticed Seven nodding, he continued, "But why do I feel this man still won’t tell the truth, even if you do that...?"
Noah went along with Seven’s plan.
Seven shifted his gaze from Noah to the doctor, staring at him intently. He was impressed to see anger radiating from his eyes.
"Don’t worry about it, sir. I have my way of doing that. Like... I will break his fingers one by one until he talks."
"And if he still doesn’t talk?" Noah asked while lazily crossing his arms over his chest, narrowing his eyes at the pitiful doctor, who now looked horrified at Seven.
"If breaking his hand wasn’t enough, I might just have to take his eyeballs out!"
Noah stifled a laugh when he saw how deathly serious Seven’s expression was while speaking with such humor.
"Your idea seems entertaining. Fine, you can proceed. I don’t mind if he loses all his senses; I simply want to know who asked him to kill my mother! Once he discloses that, we will allow him to leave."
Seven approached the doctor.
"Sir, you are very kind. If I were you, I would torture him until he almost lost his sanity, then I would throw him into Svalbard and let the polar bears have their fresh meat."
"I do love your idea..." Noah said with a calm smile, his laughter bubbling up inside.
Noah’s gaze shifted to the doctor.
The doctor’s face was as pale as fresh snow, and his eyes locked onto Seven with horror.
Seven’s once playful gaze has faded, replaced by unsettling darkness as if a devil had taken over him.
"Man, you forced me to do this!" Seven said coldly. He hurried behind the doctor, clutching his wrist tightly. The grip caused the doctor to cry out in agony.
"No! Please stop..." His cry echoed loudly in the room. "Please stop, I can’t help people if my hand is broken. Please spare my life, huh! Please..." His voice trembled, and tears began to flow from the corners of his eyes.
Seven loosens his grip when he hears the doctor’s silly pleading.
"Oh, come on! You’re the most fragile person I’ve ever met! I’m just casually holding your wrist... Tsk! Tsk! I’m not yet breaking it!"
"Please, sir... Please..." The doctor ignored Seven and focused on Noah, who remained rooted in position and gazed at him. "Kind sir, please tell him not to crush my hand... I beg you..."
Noah ignored his plea.
Instead, Noah asked, "I’m sorry, doctor, but aren’t you ashamed? You’re already old, yet you’re still crying?" he teased.
The doctor tried to stop his tears.
"I’m serious, sir. Please ask him not to break my hand..." His voice trembled in fear.
Nevertheless, Noah remained unaffected by his tears. His once playful expression gradually became cold.
"Why should I stop him?" Noah said coldly.
Seven noticed Noah’s expression gradually shift; he understood that his boss was no longer interested in playing. He held the doctor’s wrist tightly.
"Stop wasting our time! Think carefully; tell us the truth now, or you won’t get another chance!"
The doctor nods, tremblingly, "Sir, I will tell you now..."
