"I’m fucking blessed" he murmured amused but then his expression turned serious as the reality of their pending situation snapped in. "I need to get you out of here Eden"

"What about you?" Eden asked with a sad expression not liking the idea of leaving him behind. "I won’t go back if you are staying, i can’t loose you again"

Liam chuckled softly as he crouched to her size. "Its alright sweatheart, I meant both of us"

Eden gasped as a wide grin spread on her lips. "Really?"

Liam, couldn’t help it as he laughed at get cheerful. "Yes sweetheart but I’m gonna need your help every step of the way. We do this together."

Eden nodded before hugging him once again.

The Private Jet

Ethan’s eyes were fixed on the plane window staring at the clouds. His gaze then drift to his mom, seated in front of him in casual clothes, he raised an eyebrow, she was on black jeans ripped slightly, a thick white long sleeve sweater, a transparent iPad image at hand, as her eyes skimmed through the device.

"It’s been a while I saw you on casual clothes, you’re mostly dressed for official business, it is kinda that, isn’t it?" He said smirking.

Riley smiled at his words.

"This is also an official business."

"No honey this is family business" she states facing the window beside her.

"Do exactly as I say once we get to there, okay?" She adds.

Ethan just gave a slight nod.

"We’re gonna save Eden, together"

"I know"

"Are you nervous?" Riley asked noticing how tensed he was and how he gripped the seat leather.

"No"

Riley sighed, setting her iPad down and resting her elbows on her lap. "Ethannn" she voiced in a sing tone.

Causing Ethan to roll his eyes.

"I can hear your heartbeat spiking up, it has been for a few minutes now"

"I cant help it... I get nervous the closer we get"

"I understand honey, but I’m here"

Ethan faced her, exhaling a shuddering breath. "What if our plan doesn’t work. We could still safe Edens life but Hunter will take me"

"I already told you this... I won’t let that happen"

Riley shook her head. "I won’t"

Ethan sighed leaning back on his seat trying to steel his nerves.

China, Beijing

By the time they arrived, it was already night, the private plane landed, driving through rhe smooth road and then stopping.

The stairs came out form the entrance as Riley and Ethan stepped down.

Riley fully put on her black jacket, her shoe heels clicking as she climbed down the stairs.

By the time they got down they were greeted by men on wine red suits all had shades covering their eyes, about ten of them.

"Stand down" Riley said to her bodyguards, they bowed slightly going backwards.

"Hunter sent you" Riley said with a nudge of her head.

one of them stepped forward with a smile against his lips.

"It’s an honor your highnesses," he states bowing slightly.

"My name is Fred and I shall be your escort, and I’m afraid your bodyguards will have to stay back" he said politely.

Riley scoffs at his words. There was no way she was letting that happen, they were the only reassurance had if everything went south.

"Unless we can’t escort you back with us" he add with a shrug. "And that will be bad for the both of us"

Ethan gave his mom a look. They weren’t giving them much option and this was the only way.

"Fine, but not in separate cars, I’m riding with my son" she states.

"As you wish" he said with a slight bow.

Riley gave a look to her bodyguard before turning to follow Hunter’s men.

Ethan’s heart was slamming loudly in his chest, he didn’t know why but he was, scared? He had tried to steel his nerves in the plane and he thought he succeeded but the closer they got the more pending dread filled him.

An intense feeling that something bad was about to happen.

He felt his mom’s hand on his and a strong sense of comfort found him when he knew she was here with him. In return he gripped her hand tighter not wanting to let go.

"It’s okay honey" she said softly.

Ethan gulps hard.

"You’re gonna be just fine, I’m here"

He nods profusely.

A few hours later, the Suv pulled up in a wide Manor, isolated with nothing but trees traversing for miles and miles.

They step down as Fred lead down inside.

The doors spread open as they walked in, coming in view of a wide hall, the walls red in color as well as the floors, the antiques black.

Ethan got creepy vibes as his eyes roamed the entire place, he got sick to his stomach at the sight of the repeated plain color, everything looked like a cartoon.

And the aura that clung to this place was dark and unwelcoming.

The wind came from the windows making the curtains dance causing deep chill in the air.

Riley was alert, keeping her son close as her eyes skimmed suspiciously around the area.

"Welcome, an honor" Hunters voice came in grabbing their attention.

Their eyes travelled to the direction of it, where Hunter stood upstairs close to the railing a smirk plastered against his lips.

"You’re just in time" he said with a chuckle as he spread his arms. "Your punctuality is in good favor." He mused.

"Just in time for what?" Riley demanded keeping her stern on him.

"For the climax of the night activities" he adjusted his glasses.

Loud cheers could be heard, vibrating through the walls as it shook from the share force of it.

"Welcome to the Ghoul Pit" Hunter announced.

The area was extra wide, circle in format, about hundreds of ghouls were present as they watch the fight happening down below of two ghouls, it was bloody and gruesome and the battlefield tainted with blood.

Riley and Ethan were seated where Hunter was, as they watch the brutal battle between ghouls.

Ethan grimaced when the man in Claw form dug his hand deep in the opponent belly, spilling the guts out. The champion roared as the crowd praised him.

"You brought us here to watch ghouls fight?" Riley said pissed, not liking this.

"My queen this is no ordinary fight between ghouls, but special grade ghouls with various abilities" he explained adjusting his glasses. "I’m a collector you see, when I set my eyes on gems its impossible to look away without taking them. Diamonds in the rough."

"We’re here because you said you have the cure for Eden" Ethan spoke up getting impatient, the more time they spent here the more Eden’s life could be in danger.

"Ha yes sweet Eden, how is she by the way?" He mused clearly getting on their nerves.

Ethan growled at his words, Riley placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

"The cure Hunter, and then I might forget the fact you attacked my family" Riley said as her eyes changed to her ghoul ones, beaming a unique gold.

"Fascinating" he said in awe staring at her eyes. "I wish I could add you to my collection. The ghoul queen gracing my arena will sell very well and we could go 50 50, what do you say?"

Riley frowned upon his request. "I think I’ll pass. I did not come here to hear you talk about making living beings collection’s, I came for my daughter. The cure Hunter, while I still ask nicely."

He leaned back on his chair with thoughtful expression. "Even though you are such fascination to behold I consider you less" his attention drift to Ethan causing him to stiffen. "What I said still stands, you know what I want my Queen" he said in amusement.

"There’s no way I’m giving you my son, the cure, or this whole mansion gets buried... what you practice here is barbaric" Riley said sternly. "Using ghouls as fighting machines is not right!"

"Not right? We were born as fighting machines, expendable but still far greater than any existence in this world, where should we live as mere humans when we cab embrace our true nature."

"I’ve seen this many times, I’ve hear others said those words, it does not end well. Chose to live like an animal then you become one"

"We’re animals, my Queen. We’re the apex predators"

"Yes we ate but we can be do much" she said.

Hunter broke into a hard laughter. "You amuse me my Queen. Tell me... is thi your plan then" he said chuckling. "So lobby me with such inspirational words so that I grow a fucking heart?"

"No Hunter, I’m here to kill you" Riley said sternly, as her bloodlust filled the air covering also the entire arena with it.

His smile fades at her declaration, it was hard not to miss the tightening pressure in the air.

"Your son" he began. "Is a diamond in the rough, he posses something very unique even my abyss eyes can see it" he states pushing the glasses slightly to the bridge of his nose, his void black eyes staring at Ethan.

Ethan grimaced at his gaze, it was creepy and unnatural, it almost like he could see through his soul which made Ethan uncomfortable.

"He possess Omari’s essence, none of the previous black ghouls throughout generations have ever posses that vital part of him, just his abilities which segmented into Claw forms throughout the centuries, known as the black ghoul... but your boy here isn’t a black ghoul, he’s something more" he said smirking showing his golden teeth. "Perfection that not even I have seen for many centuries."

"You seem to know about what he is, you aren’t just around your 80s are you" Riley said sternly.

He pushed the glasses back to cover his eyes.

"No my Queen, I’m as old as I can be, and besides, I live perfectly well, running my own business here, the perfect underground fight club as The Ghoul Pit" he said in amusement.

"And your son right here will be the perfect fighter... the star of my reign".

A cold chill shot up her spine as she fixed Hunter with a murderous glare, the thought of her son staying here and being subjected to so many violent, eventually losing his humanity in the process.... filled her with so much rage.
