Chapter 94: Chapter 089 - The Kid’s Dad Must Be There! (First Update)

Monica draped her arm around Raindrop’s shoulder and chuckled, "Because your child and Duoduo are related by blood—close relatives can’t marry each other."

Yi Luowa’s face instantly flushed red like a tomato, "Nonsense! I don’t have any blood relation to you all—how could my child be related to Duoduo?"

"You don’t, but the child’s dad certainly does! Haha..."

With Monica’s comment, the entire room burst into laughter.

Yi Luowa pouted and turned to Raindrop, "Rain sister, Duoduo’s dad is bullying me!"

Raindrop laughed and patted Monica’s hand, "Sister will help you hit him!"

"Duoduo, let’s stop being friends with your dad." Yi Luowa hugged Duoduo, and the two started a playful staring contest.

Duoduo soon burst into laughter, jumping and wriggling around in Yi Luowa’s embrace, having the time of his life.

Tong Yao watched them play happily, then turned to her father Tong Jiaqi, who was seated beside her, "Dad, how’s your health been these past few days while I’ve been away?"

"I’m doing great!" Tong Jiaqi responded with a loving smile, nodding toward Yi Luowa and whispering softly, "Do you like her?"

Tong Yao smiled as she nodded, "I like her! I really do!"

"Your dad’s judgment never fails!" The elder chuckled.

"Sister-in-law, are we still waiting for anyone? Shall we start serving the dishes? We can chat while eating," Yan Zi suggested, worried the kids might get hungry.

"Rui’er and Xuanxuan will be here shortly. Are any of you hungry? The snacks should be coming out soon," Tong Yao replied, her gaze landing on You Jia’s face.

"Not hungry," You Jia smiled faintly; in the family, only Aunt Yaoyao treated her well.

"You Jia, how long can you stay here?" Tong Yao asked with a smile.

"I’ll head back after the military parade."

Tong Yao pressed her lips tightly together, glancing at her daughter sitting beside You Jia, feeling a bit uneasy. Noticing Ai Ni also watching her, she quickly shifted her gaze to Tong Yehua.

"Yehua, do you have any flight missions lately?"

"Just returned from one. Initially, our flight squad was supposed to participate in the parade, but we got an emergency combat mission and were worried we wouldn’t make it back in time. As it turned out, after flying back, they gave our squad time off. It’s a bit of a pity, but it’s fine."

Tong Yao smiled, "You’re still young—there’s plenty of opportunity for that in the future. Since you’re off now, enjoy the time at home with your parents."

"Got it," Tong Yehua smiled and nodded.

"Hehe... haha... Come on, go!"

"Put in more effort!"

While chatting, laughter erupted again from Duoduo and Yi Luowa’s direction.

Tong Yao turned her head to see Duoduo tugging tight on Tong Aino’s hair, trying to pull him closer into his embrace.

Yi Luowa and Mi Chenshuo were egging Duoduo on with loud cheers.

"Duoduo, if you don’t let go, your uncle is going to spank your butt!" Tong Aino squirmed under Duoduo’s pull, inching closer to Yi Luowa.

At first, Yi Luowa didn’t notice. It wasn’t until she could smell the lavender scent from Aino’s hair that she realized the two were far closer than she thought. She tried to move away, but Duoduo was having too much fun, and if she tried to pick him up, Aino’s hair might get yanked out.

As Yi Luowa struggled with what to do, Tong Airui walked in. The first thing he saw was his brother’s head buried in Yi Luowa’s arms, and his face instantly darkened.

"Rui’er’s here." Yan Zi smiled at him, noticing his sour expression, and hurriedly pushed Raindrop off the seat beside her.

Raindrop caught the hint, quickly got up and rushed over to Yi Luowa to rescue Tong Aino’s hair from Duoduo’s grip.

"Sorry for making everyone wait," Tong Airui said stiffly, greeting everyone with a cold expression.

Raindrop picked Duoduo out of Yi Luowa’s arms and laughed, "Come sit down. We’ve been waiting for you and Ah Ba."

Before Tong Airui could take a step forward, Mi Chenxuan darted out from behind him, "Auntie, I missed you so much!"

Tong Yao teased him, "Who knows if you really missed me or not!"

"Of course I did!" Mi Chenxuan declared, plopping down on the chair between Tong Yao and Yi Luowa. Before Tong Yao could say anything, he turned his head toward Yi Luowa. "Hey little girl, did you miss me after I left?"

"What are you doing back here!" Yi Luowa exclaimed in surprise, "Don’t tell me you’ve become a deserter?"

"Our squad captain is here—how could I run away? I came back because my aunt returned!" Mi Chenxuan explained as he turned to hug Tong Yao’s shoulders. "Mua~ Auntie gets a big kiss first."

"You rascal!" Tong Yao laughed and playfully slapped him.

Tong Airui stood behind their mother, glaring coldly at the clownish Mi Chenxuan.

Raindrop noticed Airui’s increasingly dark expression and tugged on Mi Chenxuan’s clothes, "Go sit over there with your sister."

Mi Chenxuan winked at Yi Luowa, "How about I sit here next to you?"

Yi Luowa grinned and nodded, "Sure! I actually have something to discuss with you."

Mi Chenxuan didn’t even have the chance to respond before Tong Airui grabbed him by the collar, lifted him up effortlessly, and ordered, "Go sit over there!"

Yi Luowa grew anxious and turned to Tong Airui, "Put him down!"

She wasn’t worried about Mi Chenxuan; she was concerned about Tong Airui’s injury. However, Tong Airui misunderstood, thinking that she feared he might hurt Mi Chenxuan. The flames of anger instantly flared in his mind.
