When Wang Jinlan dropped to her knees, the people outside the courtyard were shocked; Xu Changsheng was humiliated and embarrassed; and, Nanzhi’s eyes deepened somewhat.

He tossed a hundred copper coins and left with Nanzhi. Xu Chou felt, for the first time in his forty-two-year life, like he had been treated with dignity and respect.
