Shawn walked over to Sydney and handed her a stone cup full of water. She took it and thanked him before gulping it down. He hadn’t said anything since he came outside and for once he was grateful Ken would do all the talking. It was already bad enough for them despite being entirely sincere in their feelings for Sydney.

But like Scott had said, one word from him and Sydney would definitely take in only one male. A selfish and self centered merman wasn’t the kind of person to stand next to Sydney.

You are a nice person but I don’t think your reasons for requesting to pursue me are genuine and besides, I agreed with my brother to not take in anymore males at the moment. You are also not from land, it’ll be difficult for you to survive out of the sea. So, I’d like to say, I can’t accept your intentions i’m also sure my males are apparently not up for it." Sydney said with a soft smile dancing on her lips.

Ash looked at Sydney with wide eyes. What did she mean?! He wanted to ask but he let this matter first be settled.

I already have commitments I’ve not yet fulfilled and you and the others will also be returning to the sea side soon. You are a nice male but I’m not the female for you " Sydney said softly. She got off her dear and walked back inside her home leaving Purple lost in his thoughts.

Coming here, he knew he’d be accepted and he’d stop at nothing to traverse the whole ocean to find her the beast gifts the ocean could offer. But it turned out being accepted wasn’t as easy as he had expected, his intentions had also been wrong. He liked her appearance but pursuing her was impulsive like she had stated. Matingf with her would guarantee him being by her side forever since males weren’t fickle minded like females.

You didn’t even ask for my name...at the least.." Purple looked at the house with a broken smile.

A few weeks later, Scott stood at the city walls and looked at the group of mermen that had escorted him all this way to find his sister and he had been lucky. However, today marked the day the mermen left the city to return home.

After the episode with Purple, Ash talked things out with other kings and hoped to re-establish connections between the merclans and the land beastmen. It wasn’t a bad gamble amd itd yeild it’s fruits in the future.

Also, Titan and Scott’s relationship had gotten better over the past few weeks. Luckily, Sydney had managed to grt her brother to revoke his threat which lessened the tension at home. With Scott’s guidance, the supplies at home were made sufficient and there had been a routine established where either of them men left the city to visit the herbivore beastmen for herbivore supplies that turned out amazingly tasty.

Scott also planned to construct his own residence at the end of the Sydney’s estate as he couldn’t stand these men’s clingy attitude towards his sister. They treated her ever so sweetly to the point of him developing diabetes...he couldn’t let his health dwindle and he had proposed for the construction of his own home.

Surprisingly, Sydney supported the suggestion heavily as she couldn’t stand his teasing anymore!

A snake clan castle had also been established and the number of snake beastmen had drastically increased in the city. Scott had a space set aside for him and he helped Ash govern the city. Though it initially seemed like there wasn’t much to do, when Scott took on the office, he drastically improved the central parts of the city. A verbal invitation had also been extended to the herbivore beastmen who wished to come live in the city of beasts.

As he lacked a beast side, the twin lion brothers worked as his guards. They understood Scott’s value to Sydney and treated him like he were her. Scott though a little cold and unapproachable, was a great man who had worn hearts of many beastmen in the city. He was capable of tackling a sixth rank beastman in a few moves despite having no beast.

During dinner.

Scott wasn’t part of the dinner as he drowned himself in the city’s work and the stone table had six persons on it. Sydney had never felt so content since she came to this world...this was it to her!

However, something still lacked and it had become the talk of the beast city. The fact that she hadn’t yet mated with either of her chosen males. Her males suffered society judgement, peculiar gazes cast upon them and Shawn was most mocked since the others all held high power and positions and it wouldn’t be wise to provoke them. But the men were oddly deaf to the looks they got and rumours going about since they know rewards could eventually be claimed to their satisfaction on some lucky nights.

Sydney had been on an on and off sequence allowing herself to get intimate with the five beastmen but they hadn’t been crossing the line which on her side was only one major reason. Poor insulation of the house and the existence of her brother. His presence plunged her from pleasure her males gave down to shame and she couldn’t even look him in the eyes if they crossed paths.

She took the last bite of her meal and slumped back in her seat with a sigh. Seems like Scott won’t be returning again. I’ll be in my room, you guys can continue with your meals." She said and excused herself and they didn’t follow her around. She smiled seeing that Scott had taught them well.

The moonlight was shining in through the open window when she got to her room. It was cool and the sky had no clouds covering the diamond stars leaving a beautiful sight to admire.

Why are you by the window again?! You’ll go cold." Caden walked into the room.

I just wanted to watch the night sky." Sydney pouted and went to close the window but Caden was faster. His arms were also longer and he immediately closed the window shut. The room however wasn’t covered in darkness. Hundreds of pearls in a chest Scott brought back lit up the room with a soft white glow.

Sydney who hadn’t grown tired of admiring the beautiful pearls despite how many times she saw them felta sturdy body stand behind her. She held her breathe knowing where all this was leading off to. "What now?" she asked helplessly. If one started, all the others would flock the room.

"Are you tired?" Caden asked as he dipped his head into her neck but didn’t make skin contact with her.

"I barely get to do a single thing since you guys do it all!"

Then does that mean it’s okay?" Caden asked as he dared his hand to wrap around her waist and have her Kean on his hot chest.

"What if Scott runs into us again?" she asked.

"We’ll keep a keen eye this time." He said.

"You had said so the last time but I ended up getting so embarrassed. I’m not so thick skinned like you guys." Sydney mumbled and let herself fall in his embrace.

Caden chuckled and squeezed her to himself more tightly. He nibbled onto her skin leaving a red mark and with only that, her legs shook. "You know you can trust me.." Caden cooed. "Eagle beastmen hold most importance to their promises." he moved his warm lips up her neck line, the tip of his nose leaving a ghost trail to her ear which was the most sensitive part on her.

"Mmm.." she couldn’t help moaning a little as her hands blindly looked for what to hold onto. Her eyes were closed as the passion tingled on her skin. Her blond hands finally found what to hold onto and luckily, she found what to latch onto.

Ash was the second to come to the second floor and he intended to sleep in his room but his female’s moan made him change his plans. He had carefully walked in and found Caden torturing her playfully.

He wanted to not join in on this but when he saw her helplessly looking for standing, he couldn’t leave her in that state. He stepped up a little too close. Her scent filled the room and he wouldn’t be a man if he acted otherwise. And despite their desire to claim her, they had learnt to first seek permission. Scott had wanted the best love experience for his sister and he had done all he could to ensure it was waht he taught these beastmen.

Ash leaned in and placed his hot lips on Sydney’s. Feeling an additional sense of passion, Sydney clung onto it and she feverntly kissed Ash who was caught off guard.
