Chapter 72: Chapter 70

"Please leave!" Ash asked the beastmen present in his territory to scram! Now was a time to talk to his female in matters that determined the fate of his life and this city. The beastmen left immediately without a word leaving the place shrouded in silence and heavy breathes ofen who were in disbelief.

Scott busied himself in the kitchen as he served himself meat and a cup of warm milk. What best way to live a life like accepting reality!? And besides, this place wasn’t bad itself. He considered this his long deserved holiday... he’d do his best and make sure they went back home.

"Are you being serious?!" Shawn who was closest to Sydney held her upper arms and almost shook her. He had been thinking of the worst for himself and after she’d be gone. How he’d have to go back to his old life and how badly he’d be mocked..those didn’t hurt him as much as the fact that Sydney had chosen to abandon them. He even couldn’t bring himself to be angry at her and that was how helpless he was.

But when he thought of her joy, he forgot himself and decided to do what she wished. He’d be there to see her off and wish her a happy life. His heart that had fallen amd shattered the previous night had been pieced up together by her words.

She was snatched from his hands by Ash who carried her and sat her on his right arm as he took a closer look at her.

Ash was the most composed but his actions caught her off hairs as her hands went aroud his neck for support. He used his other arm and drew her body to his own in a tight hold. He didn’t want to ask any questions in fear of hearing what he had misheard.

Ken who was late in his actions latched onto her leg with no shame. "If you unsay those words, I’ll kidnap you!" he swore as the pain that had squeezed his heart all night dispitated. He was the straightforward type of beast and he didn’t hide what he felt inside. He meant what he said. If she wanted to taste how crazy he could get, he dared her to say she was leaving.

Scott walked into the living room to see his sister squashed between three men. Ash had let her down and was kissing her passionately. Ken, stood behind her and nibbled on her neck while Shawn held her hand tightly.

Sydney had been caught off guard not expecting them to get wild with her but she didn’t refuse them either.

The milk Scott had just sipped on chocked him that he coughed violently startling Sydney back to reality. Like a ninja, she escaped their hold and ran to hide behind the sofa. She didn’t deserve to live anymore!

Ken who had pent up feelings felt happy to find a way to vent them and he had been aroused. But his happy days were short lived when they were interrupted and the soft body he was planning to knead himself into was gone like it never existed.

No sane human being would still stand to breathe. Scott didn’t say a word and looked at where his sister hid, then to the men, one of whom had a very dangerous tent in his skirt. He worried for his sister alot but admired her guts! Did she do threesomes or even fivesomes with these men?!

Ash and the others were completely confused by Sydney’s behaviour. Did she not like it?

Ken glared at Scott who had interrupted his time with his female and looked at his tent then to where Sydney had hidden off. He stalked over. "Are you being shy now?" he asked seeing her head burried in her red hair as she crouched to the ground.

"Get lost!" Sydney hissed. How could she forget?! How how????? Her damn brother was present! How! Dare! She! Forget!!! She cursed at her luck and the annoying Ken wasn’t leaving her alone!

"But you weren’t last time when all of us were there!" Ken innocently let the skeletons out of the closet shocking Sydney. She looked up from her red locks with cold green eyes. She grabbed at his wolf tail that was swaying behind him and pulled it hard making Ken scream and run off.

Scott was silent but nodded his head in acknowledgment. He had guessed it right. His little sister was really daring! They’d have a sister brother talk later!

Early in the morning, the mermen came to find Scott at Sydney’s home, they had spent the night at the city’s lake after getting permission from Ash the previous night. And now, they wanted to know if he had found his little sister they had come so far to find. The nineteen mermen caused quite the commotion as they made their way through the city of beasts but they kept their calm composure and arrogant stances all throughout despite the looks they received. They stood alot out because of their silky shinny long hair and unique hair style exclusively used by mermen that was covered in luminous pearls, it was a sight to behold as they in an orderly manner stood outside Sydney’s home fence.

Scott spotted them and walked out of the house with a full stomach. He with a genuine smile went to welcome them in but they stood there reluctant. Beastmen were territorial creatures and mere crossing boundaries could spark a useless fight. Also, this was his sister’s home and they couldn’t come in if the female herself didn’t invite them in.

Sydney followed after her brother like a little duckling, it was a habit she failed to beat since childhood because she looked up to him alot, but not long in her steps towards the little fence where her brother stood, she saw many handsome men standing outside talking to her brother. She halted and all their attention also turned from her brother to her.

A soft breeze blew her hair creating a dreamy ambiance as the morning sun cast a glow to her face. Her eyes widened comically but she soon cast them down. She had her fair share of handsome men but this was illegal! Her heart couldn’t stop thumping erratically in her chest. The group outside also looked at her with fascination. They believed no female could outshine the beauty of the sea females but this female was like a goddess. Her hair was no different from their own, her skin was soft and plump and delicate to the eye. She invoked a desire to pamper and protect her. Though most of them didn’t expectuch when they volunteered to help Scott find his sister, this sight was one that could become the talk of the sea once they were home. No one would believe them!

Ken who had been standing inside watching felt a bitter feeling spark in his chest. He hated the way the group of men eyes his female to the point that a growl rumbled through him. However, Ash shook his head at him to contain his emotions. Sydney had agreed to stay with them and they should trust her on this.

The group of mermen cast a harmless smile at her and Sydney’s stomach twisted with butterflies as a blush crept up her face. Damn...these men were exceptionally good looking! She blew out air from her puffed cheeks to calm down, she shouldn’t be greedy! Yes....she had the best men at her disposal...she should stop looking at others.

After composing herself, she walked up to her brother and stood besides him. Hello!" she greeted the group who were astonished. Did she just take the initiative to greet them? Does she like them? They looked amongst themselves with surprised expressions.

"This is my sister that I told you about." Scott said as a mere matter of fact.

The mermen nodded in understanding but didn’t spare him as much of a look again. They had all eyes on her. She hadn’t mated with the land beastmen and she seemed to like them! It’d be better if they could convince her to go back to the sea with them. It was like a tactical message amongst themselves.

"She’s very pretty! I almost thought she was from our clan!" One of the mermen with purple hair and eyes spoke sporting a smile that made Sydney’s legs jelly!

Okay! Now it’s time to leave! Her mind screamed at her. "You shouldn’t stay outside. Please, come in!" she said and turned to leave. It was as clear as broad daylight that the purple merman just charmed her!

Scott shrugged and followed after his sister. One thing he had learnt while here, there was no need for manners in this world. He was alive and kicking because of his sister since females were Kings and the more beautiful, the better chances of attracting stronger males to be at her disposal.
