Meanwhile, tenth went back to the lord’s castle. As his son, he had choice to stay behind or move out but most of Lord storm’s sons had decided to stay behind, right now, their father was considered to be on his prime and could not challenge him over the position of lord, they only had to lay low and wait.

Power was for the strongest after all.

You’ve returned? Why the gloomy expression?" The second asked. He alread had a mate different from his other brothers.

Let’s talk." Tenth said and walked off.

Hmm?" Second arched a brow and smirked. He went after tenth. Once they were at a safe place, he couldn’t hold himself back anymore. "What happened?" Second asked leisurely.

He is alive." Tenth hissed.

Alive? Who.... Raymond????!??" Second almost got a heart attack.

I tried to kill him but was unable to. Something big happened back at the waterfall and I’m sure somehow it’ll reach father’s ears... damn!!!" Tenth growled angrily his chest heaving heavily.

Fuck!!!" Second snapped after the sudden shock. He’s actually still alive!!? That beast!!" He cursed. "How could you fail to kill him? Don’t tell me he got stronger?!" Second asked after some thought. When Raymond was still a mere cub, he was already stronger than them by a thousand times. His spirit bloodline was stronger to the point of evoking their father’s greed! They had successfully killed off Raymond’s father who was his strongest sheild but when it came to Raymond, they failed multiple times and they were forced to chase after him for months before finally managing to wear him out.

He’s not strong!" Tenth said with a deep frown.

Then!!! Shit!!! What do we tell father?! Although we don’t want him to become stronger either as it’ll make it difficult for us to challenge him, but what if Raymond is back for revenge?!"

I know..I know all that!!! When i saw him, I was equally shocked! I immediately charged at him to kill him but who knew he would fight back so desperately. When i finally had him within my grasp, I was attacked by a female."

I said I failed to kill him because a female attacked me." Tenth was surprisingly not ashamed to say it out loud.

Naturally, it was unexpected but logically, it was expected. Who would expect a female to charge out to battle a beastman but yet again, which beastman would actually counter a female even if they attacked? Would that be even painful?!!!

"Which female?" Second asked intrigued.

If he chose to speak ill about them and advise her not to take them in, wouldn’t she gladly agree?

The possibility was high! Why? She was damn protective of him as she had actually charged into a battle just to save him.

Fully utilising, Titan’s brute force, Caden’s flight ability to propel herself off the ground and Ash’s speed, along with Shawn and Ken’s agility, it was like Scott was fighting against five beasts at the same time. He was pressed but also got further excited, as a close combat fanatic, how could he miss out on this chance.

Broken between enjoying and intervening with this battle, Ash and the rest watched on excitedly.

I didn’t know one could fight like this.." Kevin muttered.

Our female is really, she leaves me yearning to learn more about her..." Enzo said dazedly.

She’s fierce and i love it!!" Greg said with a proud disposition.

What’s going on?" A soft voice asked and the beastmen slowly drew a path for her. She was the city lord’s female and Ray’s mother.

She had been out for a walk with some of her mates when this crowd caught her attention. She chose to drop by and see.

Gasp..." She was alarmed seeing a female fight.

What are you all doing? Stop them!!!" She rebuked harshly!!! These males!!! A female is being beaten amd they are all only watching on excitedly!!?

Lady!!! One male recognised her immediately and bowed. We can’t stop them as it’s the female...."

Did I ask for an explanation?! I told you to stop them!!!" Her voice dropped sternly and the beastman shut up immediately. "What are you waiting for go!!"

Sydney who was previously angry had finally let off some steam and she was feeling better and rejuvenated.

When she broke free from the entanglement with her brother, he couldn’t help nodding continuously like an old master who was extremely proud of his disciple. "Magnificent!!!" He wasn’t stingy with his compliments at all.

Told you I’m strong." She said her chin raised so high that her nose pointed to the skies.

I can’t say otherwise." He gave a laugh. Come here." He gestured for her and she went to his side. You are strong I admit but leave your mates some dignity okay." He whispered to her ear and she nodded. That lion had hurt Ray and it’d be better if Ray was the one to take that revenge.

Good." Scott was pleased to see that she wasn’t going to argue back. "Alright. Let’s go and check on him."

The siblings went back into the house not even casting their spectators a single look.

When they made their way into the house, thanks to him being a natural born beastman, his recovery rate was astonishing. With just that short while, those smaller wounds had actually scabbed over!!!!

I feel astonished just looking at them!" Scott was envious. If humans had such recovery abilities...sigh.....

You know how to help him replenish his blood right?" Scott asked and after receiving a nod from her, he continued. " then do make sure he recovers well and doesn’t go picking fights for the next two to three weeks. I’m going back." He said and turned to leave.

Aren’t you hungry? Stay back and eat! Caden will fly you back to the city." She said.

Okay. I’ll stay for a meal." Scott agreed and went out to find his brothers in law.

After Scott left for the city of beasts, Sydney remained indoors to tend to Ray’s wounds. In a weeks time, he was as good as new but wasn’t allowed to step out of his bed.

One could imagine just how gloomy he was.

Hey, I’m going in." Enzo walked into the room where Ray lay ’resting’.

Your brothers have been frequenting this place, what are your plans?" Enzo asked seating himself down.

"Plans? I currently have none. Didn’t know they got so strong that I’m not a match for them." Ray said boredly. Before, he had the confidence to confront them and even kill them but not anymore, however, that didn’t mean he had given up his intentions of serving his revenge on them. He just needed to get stronger, as for how he was going to do that...well, he was thinking about it.

Maybe you can’t beat them but can kill them with jealousy, how about it?" Enzo suggested.

That’s petty!" Ray frowned disapprovingly.

What’s petty about it? They have been coming here for her and not you! Sending all sorts of gifts to her..if you can find a time when they are in the vicinity and get intimate with Sydney, imagine just how sour their souls will feel? How much rage would boil from within them.."

What you are saying is currently the most practical option I have but Sydney won’t like it if I use her. I might end up thrashed badly." Ray wasn’t buying it.

Sydney on the other hand sat down in a small room in deep contemplation. How to strengthen Ray and the others...she had to find their beast spirits so that that can regain their former selves, that was the only way. But where the heck was she to find something like that?!

It wasn’t like a tree that could be spotted from just a single look, no!

According to Core, they were deep ditches she had dug and for how to find them, she currently could only offer a general direction but with how big the beast world was, wasn’t it like searching for a needle in the sand?!
