Let’s go over there." Ash pointed at a bonfire that had no one. They walked over ignoring the looks cast upon them by the other beastmen.

Enzo had come with a skin hide that they lay on the ground and ushered Sydney to sit on, following after her, they all sat down around the fire.

I thought we were early but seems like we weren’t. Many females already arrived." She had intended to sit at a place where she could catch a closer glimpse at Lord Storm and his family to enable Core determine if they had spirit bloodline but now that she was far away, she felt a little bothered.

You don’t like this place?" Ken noticed her being squimerish and asked.

Not that. It’s just that we are not close enough." She said sighing sadly.

Ash looked helplessly to the places that were closer to the front but they were all occupied. "I’m sorry..one of us should have come earlier to book a better spot." His words made the others look depressed too.

They couldn’t even get their female a spot she liked!!!

Don’t beat yourseiover such a small issue, it’s just a little matter." Sydney regretted talking about a good spot. Now all her mates’ had colourful expressions.

If you keep mopping like that, my mood will also turn sour. Let’s just enjoy the celebration."

Okay." Ken was the first to reply and he immediately looked up in the small bag they had carried over. He passed Sydney a fruit and she munched on it as they waited.

Sydney took this time to look around and although she was blocked by her cloak, she saw that from her row, the other spots had all been taken.

However, even those that had just arrived couldn’t help but cast a look at Sydney andd her group. She only had seven males with her!!!!

Sigh. Some people really don’t learn!!!

Other males were also looking at Sydney’s mate’s with hostile expressions.

Uh...why are those people angry looking at us?" Sydney asked no one in particular. She hadn’t fallen out with anybody what’s with the hostility?!

Female.." a soft voice drew Sydney’s attention and she looked to the second row just next to her. It was that female that had called her?

"Yes? You mean me?" Sydney’s velvet voice which was soft like cotton candy and dripping with honey resonated around.

Yes, you." The female had a short bob hair cut with hazelnut coloured eyes with thin lips. She was a cutey that could pass of as harmless but with her expression right now, she was like a tigress. How can you let those males treat you this way? Have they not learnt their lesson from back then?" She said now her words directed at Ash and the other men around Sydney.

Uh..." Sydney was confused at the cute girl’s anger.

Don’t defend them! It was because of beasts like them who like to hog a Female to themselves that many of our friends died because they were unable to escape safely thanks to those silly males incompetence...."

Wow! This was a full blown out war?

And?" Sydney wanted to understand the dynamics of the female’s anger.

Find more males and mate with them! Don’t let those few hog you all to themselves because when danger arises once again, you can’t be too sure if they’ll be capable of protecting you." The cute girl finished her speech and her face was already red.

Thank you so much for the advice." Sydney replied calmly. She cast her gaze upon her surroundings and the looks she was receiving were those that clearly stated: Just that?!

Female, you are really pretty even when you are hiding your face. All of us can tell! If those few males of yours don’t allow you to mate with others, you can report this matter to the lord. He’ll be able to help you settle them well for you." An older female to her right also spoke up.

She had lived for quite a while and she no longer had the luster of a young girl but wasn’t old either, just that although she replied on a few liquid crystals to maintain her beauty, the traces of time were hard to erase.

I’ll keep what you’ve said in mind. Thank you." Sydney smiled at the older female’s words even though she had no such thought in her mind.

Before another lecture session could begin, a silence over took the whole place as the city lord, Lord Storm along with his wife and her other mates and children all walked into the place.

The group was large!!!

Tsss...." Sydney sucked in a deep breath. She turned and cast Ray a look which he returned with a helpless one. "So many!!!" She whispered.

Have you not seen the lord’s family before?" The cute female heard Sydney’s words and asked.

Never." Sydney replied and turned her attention to the front.

This is actually only part of it. Others died during the catastrophy so the number is now smaller." The female said with a sigh. She had set her sights in one of the lord’s sons but unfortunately he had died when the world over turned itself and even though he was stronf, he was unable to save himself.

Sydney looked at Ray who was looking on emotionlessly at his family who were getting themselves seated.

Eh.. there’s a small female in the family!!" Sydney cried out.

Mm. She was born before that disaster so she has grown up alot! They dote on her very much." The female spoke once again.

Sydney offered her a smile. She actually kept her voice low but it was like that cute female was hellbent on striking a conversation with her.

Sydney wanted to ignore her but that would come out as rude when the other party wasn’t particularly harsh towards her. She had even given her ’advice’

The ceremony begun soon with the lord offering a few words to his residents and congratulating them for surviving till this day. He continued to express his thanks to a few brave beastmen who saved a great deal of females on that day then let the ceremony officially begin.

The ceremony majorly comprised of eating and a few beastmen performances.

That’s the singing bird dance from the blue bird clan. Their humming coupled with dance was copied by a great number of beastmen from there and they use it as a source of entertainment." Ray explained see her looking at the dancers in fascination.

The dance was graceful and exotic, one that could entrap one’s mind making it hard to look away.

As the humming went on, Sydney’s eyes begun to feel drowsy like she was sleepy and could barely hold on. She let out a stifled yawn, she was feeling really sleepy.

A pair of warm hands rushed to her ears and covered them cutting the siund of the humming from reaching her anymore. It has alot of effects against someone who listens to it for the first time. Some fall asleep, others never to wake up." Ray said and his words successfully snapped her from her drowsy and dazed state.
