Titan looked at the thousands of spirit beasts from over his shoulder and dragged out a breathe.

I didn’t sign up for this....’ his mind rolled in myriads of thoughts. If he really got himself stuck in battles he absolutely had no idea about, then his chances of ever going to meet Sydney again would be zero.

The fiery feeling within him hadn’t come for a long time, it’d be best if he goes back to the city of beasts, all this that he had seen and learnt could remain forever in the back of his mind. "Turn around." He decided. Chasing after the unknown was a scary, he was already content with his life back in the city where he had his female by his side, living every single day peacefully: as for awakening his bloodline and what not, they weren’t worth the effort. They’d only bring him trouble.

What?!!" Alarmed, Red cast Titan a look feeling his ears numb from those two words.

I’m returning to the beast men territory." He said decisively.

Your Highness no!!!" Red’s breathe was haggard. This man was the strength their kind had nurtured, him returning wouldn’t have been an issue but with him exposed now, the dangers that would fill his path would definitely be unprecedented.

Let’s not talk about those core beasts for now, the dark dragons would also not be seated and would attack!!! That was being stabbed both from within and outside, they couldn’t risk it.

Titan frowned at Red and didn’t say anything more. He stood up. "Don’t your Highness ...." Red cried out but Titan didn’t heed to his words and dived off Red’s body making the Dragon shreik in horror as he too dived to catch him.

From such a high altitude, if Titan were to crash to the ground, don’t say anything about him being alive, not even a piece of his flesh would be left! What would he popr Red report to his lord??!!! Would he even have the heart to show his face? No!!! So he chose to offend the least scary of the two, the young Prince.

He folded his wings and increased the momentum at which he was diving below but it seemed like the closer he got, the further Titan would get.

Titan shifted his attention off Red who was chasing after him after they had broken through the ouff of clouds, he noticed the speed at which he was dropping begun to increase and there were no brakes for him to hit.

But he wasn’t one to die off just like that! He had jumped off after calculating his status and as he neared a few hundred kilometres away from the ground, he saw the muddy swamp below him.

Behind him, Red kept screaming at the young prince to be reasonable and look at the bigger picture but seeing how determined he was not to proceed the journey with him, he knew it was a now or never!

He flapped his wings to draw him closer and spread his red scaly claws to grab at him in the last moment before Titan plopped into the swamp but just as his claws grabbed and folded over Titan, his target was missed just like that

Eh?" Against his surprise at the sudden disappearance of Titan, he wasn’t able to catch him self and ended up face first in the muddy swamp.

Titan looked at Red through his camouflage veil and let out a bartered sigh. He had slapped hard onto this muddy swampy and to say the least, it wasn’t a pleasant feeling. This mud would enable Red notice him but seeing Red’s state, he was sure that old dragon would be too busy washing up. By the time he’d have time to search for him, Titan wouldn’t be around waiting.

Storm city.

Sydney felt her heart suspend then drop for a moment and immediately her hands went to Titan’s mark, there was a painful sensation aroind her neck. "What are you doing Titan..." she asked in a small whisper.

Sydney?" Ash walked in seeing her a little forlorn.

Ah...you are back? Did you guys see them?" She asked shifting the attention from herself to them.

Mm, we waited but they seem to be coming over in a big batch.. it’ll be hard to deal with them. So we decided to return first." Ash said as he walked over and sat next to her side.

Okay. You guys calm down and not push this matter. Make sure Ray isn’t noticed to avoid any unplanned circumstances." She said cautioning them.

Sure. We’ll keep that in mind. I found you lost in thought..is everything alright?" He asked.

I’m alright..why?" She asked.

You seem moody lately. If you are uncomfortable anywhere just tell me." He said lifting her seating her on his lap. Sydney took this chance to lean against his firm chest and wiggle about in his warmth.

Comfortable?" He asked seeing her roll around in his arms

Mm.." Sydney nodded with a smile.

The long awaited day of Lord storm’s arrival came and his group consisted of over ten thousand males and over two hundred females. Amongst the bigger clans from the northern continent, they were the first to arrive and their arrival wasn’t something those from the city of beasts could ignore even if they wanted to.

After receiving assurance that the city of Beasts would be safe from invasion as this new group didn’t intend to take over, those in the city of beasts finally relaxed but they also became curious about these storm city residents. With that, they begun to come over. The more they mingled, the more they seemed to integrate but that wasn’t the same case for the city of beasts, only those from the city would have access to it.

Tje city is suddenly bustling with the arrival of the other storm city residents." Sydney spoke from her house as she looked outside to see waves upon waves of beastmen coming in.

There’s a bonfire tonight, do you want to go?" Ray asked passing her a fruit to munch on.

Bonfire...what’s it about?" Sydney asked with slight interest.

The storm city has had a tradition of celebrating whenever there’s something good happening. I’m sure it’s because they managed to survive the crisis on the other side and even found a new home.bthis would naturally call for celebration."

Then were we invited? I don’t wish to embarrass myself if I’m suddenly denied entry to the party." Sydney said skeptically.

All those that have a female are allowed to enter, I guess that counts as an invitation in our side."

Then what of your family? What if toubrun into them..are you sure you are ready to face off with them? Or should we just deal with your revenge in silence and leave once we are done?" She asked shifting her attention to Ray sitting right next to her.

I have a plan in mind. While I don’t wish to draw their attention to me since that’ll drag you into this mess, I still want them to know that I’m still alive and I’ll repay them for their actions against me."

Then I’d also like to go check out this bonfire. I also want to investigate something." She said remembering she needed to check if Ray’s bloodline had the spirit beasts bloodline in them. But that could only be detected at close quarters.

Okay. Then I should let the others know." Ray said and left after placing a chaste kiss upon her forehead. These men were no longer reserved with her. They’d kiss her whenever a chance arose for them which also gave her a chance to better understand them based on their personalities and so far, Ray was one of those that have her a headache to understand. One point he was a gentleman, the other he had taken a hundred and eighty degree change into a complete rogue.

When the night came, female’s begun to leave their homes in the company of their males to go attend the big party. Many of them chose to go since it was really worth celebrating since they managed to survive under such disastrous conditions, some of their friends had died.

They uad literally seen the world over turn before their own eyes, an experience that left their fragile hearts hanging loosely ready to drop ad shatter at any moment. Infact, if one could look closer, they’d be able to see that most females had larger number of mates serving them.

In the banquet area, bonfires were lit up neatly in rows and one after the other, different families begin to occupy them.

By them time Sydney arrived, the first three rows were already fully occupied and chatterings were all around. Her group had the least amount of males which drew the attention of many to them, luckily, Sydney had her face covered with a cloak and only her small nose and lips were left out for others to see. But even with just that much showing, many hearts had already been stirred.
