There were heated discussions among the groups of beasts converged together. Although it wasate already, the city was still bustling with life and many small stalls were still up.

Sydney didn’t idle around long and soon made it to the adminstration building of the city hall. This place has changed greatly and what was initially a mere large hall had been infused with small rooms each acting as a different administration sector.

At the entrance, there was a bear beastman acting as a guard and one had to first state the reason for their purpose before being allowed in. It wasn’t entirely strict but since the city’s Population had gotten bigger, some steps were necessary.

Seeing the group of arriving young beasts, the guard frowned a little and waited for the group to come over. His eyes scanned through them and when his eyes fell on Sydney, he couldn’t help gaping in bewilderment.

Sydney made her way over and looked at the guard. "Hello. I’m here to see Lord Scott." This was her brother’s title that had been agreed upon by most of the beast kings.

The guards heart flattered as his eyes shone looking at Sydney. Lord Scott is currently engaged in a meeting with the other kings and the city lord...it might not be possible to meet him now." The guard spoke softly afraid if he raised his voice, Sydney would crumble. In his eyes she was like a delicate flower that he didn’t dare think of hurting. He was worried he was being forceful!

Then can we wait from inside?" Sydney asked. She really needed to see her brother and confirm he was doing well!

Well...the guard was hesitant. The number was too big and they wouldn’t fit inside.

Sydney saw this and turned to the others that had escorted her over. You go back to the school for the time being. I’ll come see you in the near future." She was in her husband’s territory so she didn’t fear being implicated by anyone. Also, she was capable of looking after herself pretty well.

Her small escort group did as she had said and they left. Sydney also walked into the building and was surprised. Infact, she broke into a burst of giggles seeing the inside structure of the place. This brother of her was really something.

On different entrances, there wer plaques with names indicating each department which was an okay thing but what was hilarious was the fact that men walking around with tails in their skirts holding skin hides files made this entirely comical. Too bad they hadn’t come with phones or cameras. This definitely would he a sight to document.

Her appearance made the whole office break out into a frenzy. The workers naturally were all men and there wasn’t a single woman in sight.

They all stopped what they were doing and came out from the different department offices and begun to stare hard at Sydney. At this point, she was seated in a waiting bench in the ’lobby’

That’s the lord’s female and sister to lord Scott!!!" One males said excitedly. His heart was close to leaping out of his chest at the moment as his eyes shone brightly like an entire galaxy had been stuffed into them.

You mean the Panther lord?" One male asked. He wasn’t from the city and gaining a position was because of the mate alliance with the lion king of the city of beasts. So naturally he hadn’t seen Sydney before but definitely had heard of her!

Of course!! Tsk... he’s really lucky!! That females is extremely protective of her mates and she loves them alot!!!" Another spoke. Those that had been present from the beginning knew of her ventures in the city and it was still talk all around. She even has another male, he’s a golden snake and he’s also above the tenth rank! He was considered the second city lord."

Do you also know that she arrived from the skies?!" Another spoke making those who were unaware of this break into a frenzy.

Yes, how? How did she get up there?"

How do we know? At that time, all the single males moved and rushed out of the city settlement area into the forest to retrieve her. The whole city broke in a mad frenzy at her beauty!! Even now, no matter how many times I got a chance to see her she’s still so enchanting!!"

Not necessarily. She even accepted a blind wolf Beastman before! Also, the little prince of the eagle clan became her mate."

As the talk got heated, distinct footsteps could be heard through the corridors and many of the beastmen made way immediately.

Sydney had resigned to her fate of becoming a monkey in the zoo and waited but when she heard those footsteps, she looked up only to see Scott standing at the side his eyes glistening. His tough and aloof expression cracked completely taking those males off guard.

Even lord Scott could be soft?!

Sydney stood up from her seat and looked at her brother who looked extremely warn out. He didn’t look weak or anything, his eyes were clear and its just that he seemed to have a heavy burned taken off his shoulders.

From the day that Sydney left the city, he had been drowning in worry when he saw the state of those arriving tribes. Many of them were wounded badly and even the females were almost skeletal! They were already in large numbers but that was their state, what if her sister who had gone with barely enough manpower!?

He literally had to drag himself through every coming day and face challenges from those that wished to oust Ash from his position as lord, even the outsiders got so brazen that he was forced to fight almost to his death!

His purpose of coming here wasn’t to die but to get his sister and return home! But three years weren’t a mere day, he had to wait! And along the wait came all these events.

If not for hoping Sydney to return to this city, he’d have already abandoned it and gone off to look for her and head back to the sea side and wait from there for the passageway to open up.

Sydney’s eyes watered at seeing her brother’s raw emotions. She ran over and jumped into his embrace. Even this mere act caused many hearts to stirr and hearts to break at her tears.

Scott hugged her back. I’m glad you returned safely!!!"

I’m sorry. I made you worried!!" She sniffed her head burried in his chest since he was a head taller than her.

Are you really sorry?" Scott asked with a scoff making her giggle as she cried.

I heard you got hurt...I’m truly sorry! If it weren’t for my wilfulness, all this wouldn’t have happened!!" She was indeed very regretful.

You can be as wilful as you like. Just do that when I’m close enough." Scott was already happy that she was safe! What more did he care for if she was wilful or not. Since he had grown up with her, his bond with her was a little too strong. When she was born, all the memories of her growth, he had a clear image of them in his mind and to him, he was like a second father to this small trouble maker of a sister. That’s why he couldn’t bring himself to settle when he learnt that her retreat home had been razed by a hurricane. He immediately dropped everything else he was doing and camw out to find her! Even though he wasn’t entirely optimistic about finding her alive, aonly her corpse would be able to prove him otherwise or else, he was ready to dig thoismads of feet deep into the ground to find her.

I will." Sydney nodded obedient and rubbed her nose on his skin shirt. This made Scott burst into laughter. This silly girl!!!

He withdrew from the embrace and looked down at her small red face. "I heard that I have become an uncle...that was fast!" He said his eyes probing but full of tease. He didn’t look as tired as before and was rather full of vitality.

That’s a long story that I even have no begining nor end. It’s ...we can talk about this when there’s time." Sydney couldn’t believe that Ash had already spoken of this matter to her brother.

They let go of eachother and it was now that they realised that there was an audience and none of them seemed embrassed about having been caught. Infact, they were looking on as if waiting for the siblings reunion to continue.

They didn’t know that Scott could also be soft but even them, Infront of their female siblings, they’d be no different from born fools and would pamper them to no ends. It’s was natural for Scott to show such love and pampering for his sister who had been out of the city for all this while.
