Titan naturally overheard them talking about him, he kept a sharp ear incase some useful information could be said in passing.

He slithered off and finally found some good prey. He killed it with ease and even during that action of mere hunting, a large number of beasts were on the sidelines watching him with awe, envy and admiration. He ignored them and carried his prey along.

Why are you dragging back all these beasts with you?! Huh??" Red asked displeased. He loved his space not being invaded by others! And now this guy’s was bringing along hundreds of other beasts.

I didn’t!! They followed me on their own!" Titan was weirdly not angered by Red one bit. Even when he felt like slapping him to his death, he held back and could only become helpless.

What are you lot looking at!!?? Huh????" Red yelled so loud that the forest shook and the beasts scattered over like headless chicken.

Titan looked at him.

Red slapped his tail on his mouth and hissed timidly! Hahah...even a rabbit bites when it’s cornered. Hehehe!!" He slithered to his prey, caught it and ran off.

Titan’s eyes narrowed suspiciously. That was no hour of a helpless tiny snake! That was a mighty yell! Also, to be able to scare off other animals?!! Who exactly was Red?!

When Red was out of Titan’s radar, he couldn’t help sighing and banging himself against a tree trunk. "I’m doing this on behalf of the family, I deserve a beating!!! If they learn that he knows my identity, I’ll be as good as dead!!! Jeez! This temper of mine!!!" Hoooooo

After berating himself, he swallowed his prey and went to find Titan so that they could get moving.

Sydney and her mates finally managed to escape their pursuers but Caden had not yet gotten down from the sky. It was already the evening of the third day but he dare not come to the ground. Shawn and Ken were injured and their battle poweress had fallen by alot! They first needed to find a place to recuperate before they’d dare to let Sydney down.

Sydney had also managed to see what was happening down below thanks to her bond with Caden that allowed her to use his keen eye sight. Working together, she was the one that managed to spot a cave hidden behind thick vegetation but she wasn’t sure about how safe the place was.

I’ll go check it out." Ray volunteered and went.

Ash and the others stayed at a distance with bartered breathes, Caden kept circling the area and not long after, Ray rushed back with a clear sign.

The six of them hurried over.

Once Sydney got to the ground, she ran over to check on them. "I’m sorry!" She had been trying hard not to wallow in self blame but seeing them getting hurt while she was fine and okay, she couldn’t help it.

What!!!"? Sydney slapped Ken’s head in anger. "Are you that silly?! We are being hunted and that’s all you think about?" She berated him.

It’s not that it’s all I think about. But it can really help!" He defended his point.

Are you going to claim that when males are hurt mating makes them heal! You think I’ll fall for that?" Her nose huffed and smoke could be seen escaping. She was like a wild bull ready to trample him to death.

And the most annoying thing was that the others weren’t saying a thing! He had already embarrassed himself by riding on Ash, if news of this got out,he’d not be able to walk with his tail held high!!!

Sydney listened to Ken’s words despite how absurd they sounded. She shot him a glare and looked at Ash, Caden and Shawn to confirm Ken’s words.

They blushed but kept their gazes firm. It’d be a lie to act like they didn’t notice it. Titan and Ken had been the lucky ones to mate with her twice, for them, it had been only once but that once time left an impenetrable impression on them! If anything, they’d only love to lock her down on the bed and do nothing but mate all day long.

But they respected their mate alot and coupled with the events that kept cropping up day in and day out, they didn’t have a chance to lock her down and mate with her.

You are not being serious!!!" She looked at them with utter disbelief. But she knew Ash and Caden and Shawn wouldn’t fake some phenomena just to mate with her! So..it only meant it was true...true in every sense.

She had already used up the herbs she had brought along for wounds and she was out, this place they had come to had no herbs and if carefully noticed, most of the common herbs were poisonous herbs.

She pursed her lips and looked at her four mates feeling helpless. Seriously?!

Ray was inside the cave cleaning when he overhead their conversation. He pursed his lips and clenched his fists!!! If only the others were also here, he’d have a chance to tell her what his position was.

I’m healed already! I’ll go and hunt. Shawn said and went into the cave. He looked at Ray who had a stuff back and sighed. Can we go hunt together?" He asked carefully. Before, he was the least noticed of her mates, although she tried her best to cater for them all, he wasn’t among her favourites and alway stood on the sidelines. He knew how lonely that place felt, after all, what male didn’t want his beloved mate’s attention and pampering.

Ray could also see what Shawn was upto and he was thankful. Mm." He agreed and the two of them left the cave after making sure that it was clean and tidy.

Ash saw them walk away and smiled at Caden. "I’ll be back." He said and rushed to catch up with Ray and Shawn.

Caden and Ken were confused and so was Sydney. She looked at Ken and kicked him hard. This heartless beast!!!

Why don’t we tell her?" Shawn asked after the long silence that had been going on. It was more like they were out to talk and not really hunt.

Do you think she’ll believe it?" Ray asked. There’s no sign to show. Even if you and Ash back up the whole thing, it’ll only make things difficult for her. Better we just..let things be the way they are for now." He said with a shrug. I honestly appreciate you thinking about me. I never did such a thing for you before...so, I’m quite ashamed." He laughed bitterly.

You don’t have to be. It was my luck to even be a part of her family in the first place. There were stronger and more deserving males but she chose me. Not once but twice!!" Ken said with a tender expression.

You are indeed a lucky fellow!! Sigh...I wonder how Vincenzo, Greg and the others are doing. Where are they!? They’ll surely gnash their teeth knowing you two mates with her a second time." Ray laughed.

And Vin will surely pluck someone’s feathers!!!" Ash finally caught up with them and they laughed hard. Enzo was a silent devil.

There was a price to pay. We were not the only ones to pay it." Ray said sadly. She didn’t allow her brothers to take that burden. She also said she wanted the time her mother returned, she’ll be able to sit on her lap and enjoy her embrace that’s why she paid the price." Ray gave them a brief summary of what happened.

How about the other cubs?" Ash asked.

I have no idea what Lilly had them do. They went out in groups. I had to keep a close eye on them but those little brats beat me up to vent and finally threw me into the Beast City where I met Sydney again."

Best you up? Why?" Shawn was flabbergasted. Those little babies were really nice children!!

Hearing his words, Shawn shuddered while Ash’s lips twitched. Those were there children!! How would they think of such a thing?

You can try. Those children are scary, I have no idea what they went through but I know it wasn’t easy! All we can do is hope Sydney will accept the whole lot of us. We have no beasts so even if we mate with her again, we might not be so lucky.
