Sydney looked at Ray and Shawn whose eyes were dancing all over the place to avoid her penetrating gaze.

She ig kred Shawn and looked at Ray wondering if she should ask him. She contemplated for a while before opening her mouth. "Who were those people outside?"

Ray’s heart leaped out of his chest and stuck in his throat. "Some people I know." He lied.

"I heard you just now saying children. Whose children are they?" she asked probing. Those line figures left a deep impression on her heart that it was painful. All throughout the night, she kept tossing and turning as a fevernt hearing begun to build up in the pit of her stomach.

They...they...it’s a group...from.outsidd the city of beasts. Right! It’s from there!" Ray was so flustered that he let whatever was on his mind roll out except fro the fact that they were in fact her children.

"Why didn’t you invite them inside. It was late and they must have been hungry! Where are they now?" She asked feeling there was no need to hide such a thing. Since there was a school that still had abundant accomoo, taking in a few more cubs wouldn’t be bad.

They are a little wilful. I don’t think they’ll agree but since you said so, I’ll go find them and ask if they are interested, how about that?" He asked as sweat dropped down from his face. Sydney was forced to look at the sky only to see that the sun wasn’t that hot! It only meant to mean he was nervous about the children.

Okay. Tell me when they wish to join us. I’ll get brother to settle everything for them." She said and turned to walk away. As her distance free from then, her thoughts wandered. Was her intuition wrong? But that pain was like no other. Sigh...she’d only have to first see those children before she could figure out why she felt the way she felt.

She walked back to front yard and intended to enter when she saw Parrick rush over through the small gate way. "What’s wrong?" She asked seeing his fear filled face.

"Good morning Sydney! Is lord Ash home?" he asked. The situation was urgent.

He went off yesterday and he hasn’t returned yet. Why, is something the matter? She asked again.

Patrick nodded and begun to explain this matter to her. Apparently, the northern ranges across at the edge of the continent experienced a phenomenon that disrupted the the wild animals in the forests nearby. The beast Continent comprised of four huge chunks of land and on each of those lands stood a city. Lord Ash’s beast city was the strongest.

We share these mountain ranges with another beast land but that group has never crossed over to our side! But because of what happened recently, not only was their city floored, many lives were lost and and a great deal of beasts and beastmen were forced to migrate.

I was on my way from visiting the eastern ranges when I saw that a large number of beastmen were coming in from the mountain ranges. Lord Ash needs to know about this as soon as possible! Though that group may come in dire times, we love by the law of the jungle, they might be forced to fight their way into our lands but with our lord present, we could avoid this matter by a great deal!"

Sydney listened attentively as her mind assessed the information. Have you told this to any of the other lord’s?" She asked.

Not yet. But it won’t be long before they learn of this. What worries me the most is that that group is most likely to come with a horde of strays! Those guys are extremely nasty!" Parrick couldn’t help but shudder just at the thought.

I’ll try to find Ash through the link. You go keep an eyes on their movements. Oh, right..wait her for a while. " Sydney said and ran back inside the house and into the backyard where Caden was busy handling a few chores.

Seeing Sydney so distressed, Caden threw aside what he was doing and come to her. What..what’s wrong?" He asked as he scanned her from head to toe.

I’m fine...as a person. Do you happen to have some scout warriors? We need them!" She said and Caden was surprised but he soon came from his daze and looked at her with a nod of his head. He used his hands to cup her ears before he let out an ear piercing screech which was soon answered by his clanmen. Those that were close all flew over to his yard and landed before assembling in an orderly manner.

Caden nodded in approval and looked at Sydney. "Do they suffice?" He asked.

They should do for now." She swept a glance through them before calling for Parrick. Take them with you and keept a close eye on the situation. I’ll let Ash k is as soon as I see him." She gave orders and Parrick didn’t waste time before he led the group away. Flying across their continent would take half a month, he could only urge the warriors to hurry up.

Once that matter was settled, Caden looked at Sydney for an explanation. Go gather the others. This is a matter that concerns the whole city and we need to act fast." She said and summoned Ash and Titan since they were the ones that were home.

"What?! Ken was appalled after learning of what had happened. "We can’t house all those beastmen! The resources here are only sufficient for us!" He was not being greedy. It was being reasonable. Even though he was a cocky prince, he had knowledge about this land of theirs upto the complete edges of it. While their land may seem vast, it was only the case because of their population. He could I ly imagine how toughy the situation would get if their population went up by millions!

"So we have no idea why they were forced out of their homes. Does that mean we are supposed to leave to find out?" Shawn asked. He was as petrified as Ken. These events didn’t exist in the past.

Ray had a solemn look on his face and his expression turned darker each passing second.

"You don’t need to move. We already have plans underway! They can’t be postponed for anyone or anything!" Titan spoke domineeringly. Sydney’s birthday and surprise were in a few days.

Sydney looked at Titan and but her inner lip. That group that was coming consisted of women and children, her heart hurt for them! She wanted to say something but assessing the looks of her mates’, those people’s affairs didn’t seem to matter to them.

What is it?" Titan noticed her furroied brows and asked as he used his cool hands to smoothen them out of her face. "You can say anything...don’t hold back."

There are going to be children too right?" She asked with a pained look.

Ash stiffened in his seat.

Ray and Shawn both looked at themselves and dropped their gazes.

Most likely." Titan was rhe one who held his ground. He had wondered before why she seemed to have an innate love towards children, it had to do with those children that she didn’t even remember. There was a gaping hole inside her heart, a void that needed to be filled and a longing for those she birthed. He sighed heavily. We are going to do something about it. Don’t worry! Trust us okay?" He ruffled her hair to calm her heart.

Sydney looked towards Titan and smiled. Thank you so much." Her heart calmed down significantly.

We should concentrate more on finding out why they were forced out of their homes." Ken could also only let his bitter feelings dispitate.

Then I’ll go and talk to the other clan heads. I’m sure there are clans from the same species that are migrating. I’ll see if we can move in more members." He said and exited the house.

Sydney looked at her remaining mates and it seemed they’ll also be heading out. It’s okay. You guys can go. I’ll be fine." She said and gestured for them to leave first.

I’ll get those two lions to come and keep you comtfor now okay?" Ray said and ran out to head towards the school.

Those inside the city of beasts had no idea what was happening but those living outside had already begun to become restless while some were of course happy about this - the strays.

Scott was in his office when Ray knocked and entered directly without waiting to be invited inside. Scott looked up from his work and frowned but his drown eased when he saw Ray. "What?" He asked setting aside his work.

We need you to please go and keep Sydney company. Also, cease all activities concerning the older batch from leaving the city walls. Hunting within the premises is fine though." He said all in one breathe.

Why? Is something wrong?" Scott stood up from his seat with worry dancing in his eyes. Ray briefed him on theatter which left Scott aghast. He had traveled through these lands before and he knew just how huge and vast they were. What he hadn’t learnt of was the existence of other continents which also inhibited life. "Why are you all leaving all of a sudden?" He wanted to keep Sydney company but what of her mates?

You know the position that all the others hold, it’s inevitable for them. Shawn on the other hand has been assigned to a task while I have to go find someone as soon as possible." Ray said.

Okay. I get it." Scott agreed and went to pass on the information to those teachers
