Chapter 114: Understands Her Better

Sydney who had fallen unconscious from the pain woke up from the loud noises in the backyard. She groaned and opened her tired green eyes that were dull. She had made it!

She laughed softly.

Looking around the room, there was no one present making the sound from the noise outside more prominent. She pushed herself up from the stone bed and weakly walked over to the window.

From here, she could see six heads and their muscled bodies under the sun. They were busy! Al their sides, there were over fifty stone buckets and numerous holes that had been dug in. the ground. She wondered what they were up to.

Her curiosity got the better of her and she found a simple cloth piece and she put it on. She descended the staircase slowly and made her way to the backyard.

Shawn carried a huge stone cover and handed it to Titan. Titan took it and went to one of the hole’s which held a water filled stone basin. He covered it up and sealed the water nicely before covering the hole back. They repeated the process till all the holes in the backyard were covered.

Ash was the first to sense Sydney and he turned to look at her with bright eyes! Letting go of what he was doing, he ran to her side and halted only when she was a few inches away from him. What are you doing down here? you should have called me..." His voice was laced with worry and concern.

"I’m alright now." Sydney smiled at him then looked behind to see that all the others had left their work and come to her side. "Why are you storing water?" She asked

The drought might be harsh. It’s only right for us to be prepared." Ash said to her. He wanted to touch her but his hands were dirty! He was lost at what to do!

"Are you still in pain?" Ray asked. He was at a distance from her.

"I’m fine now." Sydney replied politely.

Ray nodded and went back to do his work

Come with me. You’ve been unconscious for two days. You really had us worried! Come, there’s good food for you and you also have to take some medicine." Titan led the way into the house and everyone followed except for Ray.

"Your brother was worried. I’ll have someone inform him you are awake." Caden said and he let out a screech to pass the message.

Scott was busy at school when an eagle beastman knocked on his door. He looked over and allowed him in.

"Good afternoon. My prince asked me to inform you that your sister is awake." He said stiffly and walked out of the place.

Scott heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing the news. No one knew how stressed he was knowing they lacked earth’s medical appliances to treat her. He was familiar with a number of herbs but feared using his sister as a guinea pig. Luckily, that Ray beast was familiar and managed to get the medicine that helped Sydney.

Seeing him going that far, there was only one conclusion. Ray was here for Sydney.

Sydney sat at the dining table with all her mates. It came to her notice that for the time she was unconscious, none of them had eaten a thing as they waited for her. Shawn and Ash handled the food in the kitchen and soon, the scent of cooked meat wafted through the air. Sydney’s stomach rumbled hungrily but instead of food, a thick green substance was placed before her.

It smelt, looked and sounded bitter. She shook her head. No way she was drinking it!

"Drink it!" Titan urged when he saw her scrunched up face and how she shook her head.

"Its bitter!" Sydney squeezed her mouth shut.

It’s bound to be bitter. It’s medicine." Titan said as matter of fact. Sydney wanted to cry! She looked for whom to run to.

Drink it!" All of them said in unison like they had the same mind. She now really cried.

"I don’t want to!" She whined as tears fell from her eyes. This is her period for sure!

Be good! I don’t want to force you!" Titan spoke seriously. She had been sick and she needed this medicine to heal. He wasn’t letting her off.

Titan?"Sydney probed for a leeway.

"I’m all ears!" He replied.

"Do you like me?" If this honey trap didn’t work, then she’d definitely drink it!

"I love you." He said with a solemn face. That was without question. He loved her from the first time he saw her and with each day that passed with her by his side, he continued to love her more and more to the point that he felt full!

Then...can you drink the medicines for me?" She asked batting her eye lashes at him and wearing the saddest face she could. Her green eyes were teary too!

Titan sighed and looked at the bowl of green medicine. Even when she was unconscious, her lips were locked to the point that they had to pry them open. He obediently took the bowl and gulped it into his mouth in a single mouthful then scotted over to her side.

Sydney’s eyes glittered when she saw Titan take the bowl but dread filled her when she saw him drawing near. She was late on her feet as Titan scooped her into his arms and sat her on his lap.

He didn’t allow her to resist as he locked her legs between his before sealing her mouth with his and forcing the medicine down her throat.

Sydney tried her best to resist but her attempts were futile to the tee. She could only let her crocodile tears fall hoping to win sympathy but none of that worked till the whole bowl went down her stomach.

After feeding her the medicine, Titan kissed Sydney but she bit his tongue drawing a hiss from him He let her go and she jumped from his lap.

Her eyes were red from crying and her throat was extremely bitter! What was the difference with killing her in broad day light! She dashed to the kitchen and snatched the jug from Shawn before gagging the water then spittinng it out.

Titan watched her repeat the process a few times till she was done! He laughed at her puffed up red face earning himself a spine chilling glare. He shut up.

Good is almost ready!" Shawn said to soothe her heart but who was Sydney!

Humph!" She hautily raised her head in the skt and stormed out of the house. She didn’t want these guys anymore! What kind of husbands we’re they! Bullying her and not saying sorry?!

She stomped her feet I ly to find herself in the backyard. Ray was busy with his work and didn’t shift his attention to her despite having noticed her.

Sydney walksd over to Ray’s side and leaned over to see what he was doing. She was awed when she saw what he was craving. It was roses being craved out from the wood. The art was beautiful and life-like.

Her interest was piqued and she came close and closer till Ray could literally feel her breathe fanning his neck and ear. He gulped his grievances down and reached for his skin bag. He took out a small box and passed it to her.

The box was also made of wood but it was different. On it was craved her name beautifully against the golden brown wood. A few crystals were embedded into the edges on the box makingg it glitter against the sun rays. Sydney was happy and she received the box from him. There was no need to ask since this box was clearly made for her.

"Thank you! It’s very pretty!" she whispered as she ran the tips of her fingers over the smooth and fine box.

"I’m glad you like it." Ray replied but didn’t look at her. Firstly, she was in heat and she smelt Divine! He could only control himself by avoiding looking at her.

She fumbled with the box for a while before opening it slowly and when she looked at the contents inside, her eyes widened. Even the scent told her she wasn’t dreaming.

It was her DIY milk honey candies!

Her eyes shot from the boy of candies to Ray. "How do you know these? Did Scott teach you how to make them?" She asked her eyes filled with delight.

When she asked, Ray was ready to tell her that she was the one who taught him but hearing her mention her brother, he felt it wasn’t time to expose himself. It would even sound stupid and unbelievable! He decided to nod his head.

Sydney picked out one candy and threw it into her mouth. She moaned in delight while Ray shook uncontrollably. He placed a piece of heavy wood between his legs to hide his tent. He bore with the torture as she continued to moan from right besides him. He even begun to sweat and his throat patched up.

Go back and eat food." his voice was hoarse but Sydney who was too occupied with candies didn’t mind him and hoped back into the house to eat food. Her mood was better!

Titan’s eyes flickered. Ray understood Sydney more than them! He felt really bitter about it but there was nothing he could do. He’d only try to understand her more and not be left out in matters concerning her.

Ash on the other hand remembered the words he shared with Ray. Though he had no recollection of Ray in the life where they wrre mates’ with Sydney, his actions only showed how well he knew her. If the ’others’ he spoke of really did come...’ His eyes shot to Titan, Caden and Ken. He wondered how this matter would evolve. He just hoped they were as understanding as Ray
