Chapter 100: The nightmare of his youth.

The falcon king stopped laughing feeling the murderous intent from Titan. He squeezed his mate into his hands to the point that she was having difficulty breathing. She ended up waking up from feeling uncomfortable. "Why? Are you trying to kill me?!" She bellowed out as soon as her eyes snapped open.

The falcon king was so flustered that he immediately let go of her and scanned her. "I’m so sorry! I was not in my right mind!" He apologized fearfully.

The female frowned and jeered before she rose from the bed. "Like you have a mind! If you do such a thing again I won’t hesitate to dispose you off! You are already so old and useless!" However, when she noticed other people in the room, she stopped and looked through them till her eyes landed on Sydney who was at one side of them room.

"What’s going on?" She asked her mate.

"It’s nothing much!!" The falcon king trembled a little. Hearing how she planned to dispose him off left his heart hanging in his mouth. He dared no agitate her again!

"Nothing?" She scoffed and looked at Ash, her eyes flashed with complicated emotions, then Titan till her eyes landed on Sydney. "The city lord? Hahah...I knew you were so capable!" her expression took a ninety degrees change and she gently rubbed the falcon king’s face.

He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at his bitter fate! Yes they were here but not for her plans, it was something far different from what she thought! It was to settle scores with him.

Sydney had always thought something was wrong with this guy but it seemed he was only being used as a puppet by this female. It was really a sad sight and her initial anger towards the falcon king turned into pity. The root cause of all evil was this female!

"So it was you all along!" Sydney said with a nod an unknown anger enveloping her chest making it stuffy. This was the first time she felt such an emotion for someone she was meeting for the first time. She frowned a little bit suppressed the feeling with great effort. All that she had to endure all morning and the unstable emotions of Shawn were all this female’s doing. She didn’t seem smart at all but that didn’t stop her from being sly!

Ash on the other hand looked at the female and felt extremely uncomfortable. He knew her! The nightmare of if his youth! She had coveted him years back when he had just attained his human form but he had ruthlessly rejected her. Despite his distant attitude towards her, she kept a thick skin and continued to pester him. Only when he threatened to threo her out of the city of beasts did she calm her lust over him -power- and back off!

But who knew she’d play cards with intention of dethroning him from his post? Combined with the jealous Falcon king, her plan was almost flawless.

"Oh! You must be the female all males in the city talk about! You are quite pretty!" She commented but her attention didn’t linger in Sydney for long.

"Well well well, who knew that after so many years, you’d come to my room on your own accord!" She said with a charming smile, her eyes locked on Ash. Ash’s fists clenched as he bared her uncomfortable stare.

Sydney’s mouth twitched as bile rose up her throat. She was ignored, right? By someone she had a deep rooted hatred for!

The Falcon king knew his female’s intentions towards Ash but he didn’t say anything. She was already old enough to be Ash’s grandmother but he dared not say so!

Ash ignored her and looked at the falcon king. "My initial intention was to settle scores with you today but that doesn’t seem necessary." He smiled ever so tenderly. "You are just a bud blooming off a weed. Lucky for me, the weed itself is here." He shifted his eyes to the female who gave him nightmares in his youthful years.

The woman frowned upon hearing Ash’s words and she couldn’t help shuddering. She shot her eyes to her mate and growled. "What’s this?! Aren’t they here to agree to our initial plan? What’s with what he’s saying?" she landed a slap on the falcon king’s cheek catching him off guard. But he said nothing and endured, even when his eyes had tears flooding in them.

"I initially hoped to plead for you on your behalf but I couldn’t agree more to my mate." Sydney was so disgusted. "And besides, didn’t your mate tell you that no one covets what’s mine?" Sydney stepped forward from the furthest corner she had been standing in.

"What do you mean by yours? I knew him before you! He’d have been mine long time ago!" She fumed as she shot up with a great hostility in her eyes.

"And that’s where you are wrong! What’s mine has always been mine before I even met him! Your mistake was having designs on him and your worst mistake was letting me know you did." Sydney walked forward carelessly. Those who didn’t know would think she was bluffing but those who did, knew it was time to retreat. She had followed her brother to the army but she had gained all achievements on her own. She looked weak but was strong, she never let her emotions drive her but it’d cross her bottom line if someone provoked it for a long time.

Titan arched a brow at her sudden change. He didn’t consider her weak, what made him angry earlier was that she had come to danger without letting them know which meant that had he not come to this place, something might yavw happened to her without him knowing much worse arriving late to her rescue.

"What can you possibly do to me? I’m a mate to three tribes elders. You think you’ll walk out of this matter casually!? Heh! So silly!" she gloated.

Sydney raised her eyebrows in surprise. No wonder she had the guts to act like a cat with its tail on fire. "You think I fear what your connections can do? It’s already self evident that you can only rely on others to drive your selfish desires." Sydney sneered. She hated that she was a woman! This woman made her loathe womanhood. "And besides, who told you that I can’t do a single thing to you? I was only here to ask what troubles your mate had with mine and also find the reason for sending his clansmen to attack my male. But that’s not necessary anymore. I’ll be taking you!" she pointed out.

Ash moved

The falcon king jumped to sheild his female.

"What you are doing is useless. I might not kill you but you’ll be no different from being dead. Blame all this on your blind desire and mating with someone poisonous. She was bound to poison you too in the end." Sydney coldly stared at the falcon king.

Shawn who was at the top most floor watching everything that transpired calmed himself down. They had lost alot at the hands of this man and his female but this time round, there would be no such thing! This was already a deep rooted grudge and it was getting settled tonight.

He shut his eyes and the cries from that night filled his ears like it had happened only yesterday. Though alot of things had changed this time round, some of them still interlapped with eachother.

And you thought it’d be that easy?" The female sneered and reached out to sprint off to the door way.Her attempts were stopped when something slapped her back into the room with a huge force making her crash into the wall.

The falcon king rushed over to his mate enduring the pain from the impact she took but Ash held him down.

Titan was amused and Sydney stood there domineeringly. She had just borrowed Titan’s brute force and Ash’s speed and with both forces combined, she didn’t need to do much. She didn’t expect the latter to dent the wall. However, her expression didn’t change.

The female coughed out blood and writhed in pain as she fell off from the wall and onto the ground.

Shawn who was watching from above felt his body line with goosebumps. He looked at Sydney for a moment and frowned. Does she remember?!

The impact the female felt was also felt by all her mates that totaled up to twenty five. Three kings and twenty two warriors scattered around the city of beasts.

Sydney walked forward but not so close. What? I couldn’t do a thing to you?" she said sarcastically as she looked at the female on the ground. However, despite the impact, the dreadful female actually still managed to gather herself and stand up.

Ash raised his brows. Titan wasn’t amused though. He knew Sydney had borrowed from his power but it wasn’t enough to kill not even a female. It was just a tiny bit, enough to prove her point.

"Her other mates will be here!" Ash looked up from the struggling Falcon king pinned on the ground.

Sydney looked at the female who had a devoid look in her eyes then turned to look at Titan. I’m going to have to bother you." She said seriously and Titan nodded standing up.

Shawn was pleased with his cooperation.
