Chapter 68: Warning

Lyra was in the rose garden admiring flowers when she caught a glimpse of something flickering. It bothered her mind because it was already nth time she felt that something or someone was watching her, and being paranoid, she didn’t dare take a shower from the morning.

She shook her head and went inside the house, but once again she felt that someone was stalking her. Lyra’s mind ran wild thinking ghost and whatnot, she turned around but there was no one behind her.

Meanwhile, in the forest, Kenna was begging its master to stop seeing Lyra "Master, please stop this, we will not be able to reach the city at this rate"

Killian glared at the fire and continued watching the portal "Just do your work"

"Master, don’t you want to see her in real? Are you satisfied like this?" Kenna whined at him

Killian frowned in annoyance "I’m trying my best, but I’m not able to hold back myself from watching her"

Kenna turned into a little bird "Master even your mate is getting uncomfortable with your constant stalking" he pointed at Lyra’s panic-stricken face "Look, she is getting spooked because of you"

In contrast to Kenna’s whining, Killian continued staring at Lyra "She is so cute being all nervous"

The next moment Kenna erased the images making Killian seeth with anger "You! How dare you!?"

"We should continue our journey" Kenna deadpanned ignoring Killian’s yelling

"Fine!" Killian grumbled getting up from the ground. He turned into his beast form and started running.

Two days later, he finally reached the city gate. His feral eyes observed the surroundings catching the attention of the guard beastmen who were in the city gate.

One of the beastmen strode towards the gigantic black panther and stopped him from entering "Do you have permission to enter the city?"

Killian turned into his beastman form and chuckled "Permission? From whom?"

The guard frowned "You must have one of the king’s permission to enter inside, and I have also not seen a single black panther in the city"

Killian gazed coldly at the guard "Stop your rambling before I lose it. You have some guts to stop me here"

"Rules are the same for everyone" the guard was adamant even though he felt frightened because of the stranger.

And in the next second, the guard was engulfed in flame. His screaming was heard by everyone.

Killian tsked "Why are people so stubborn" he then smiled eerily "Why don’t they know that I don’t follow rules?"

More guards rushed towards Killian but they were also met with the same fate. He stepped inside the city and turned to Kenna "Finish your work and follow me"

"Yes, master" Kenna’s unwavering voice was heard amid chaos.

Killian walked inside the city leisurely with his hands folded behind his back. He followed his mate’s pull and soon reached the rose castle. As he stepped forward, he heard his mate’s giggle and unconsciously smiled "My treasure"

But his face fell as he reached his mate. Blake was sitting next to her with his little ones and Killian felt his anger surging within him.

On another hand, Blake felt someone’s presence and turned to his side, widening his eyes "Killian?"

"Hmm?" Lyra also turned following his line of sight to behold a stunning man with black hair and Auburn-colored eyes standing out of the door.

But soon, Blake turned to her "Get inside Lilly, Don’t come out until I say so"

Lyra frowned "What happened?"

"Listen to me!" Blake warned her "Get inside"

Lyra glanced between the stranger and Blake and went inside the castle with her babies.

After that, Killian strode towards Blake, still maintaining the smirk on his face "It’s been a long time"

Blake returned the same smirk "Indeed it has been"

Killian chuckled "You are still the same" his eyes glanced around "Where is Victor by the way?"

"I don’t know" Blake answered

Killian nodded his head and soon wore a serious expression "I will not beat around the bush and say it directly, hand over what is mine without making any fuss"

Blake feigned ignorance "What is yours here?"

Killian narrowed his eyes "Don’t act too smartly, I know that you can understand my words"

Blake nodded seriously "You are right, I can understand but I don’t want to acknowledge it"

"Blake!" Killian’s frigid voice warned Blake, "I’m trying to hold myself because we were acquainted once, don’t test my patience"

Blake snickered "You are asking me to hand over my mate!" his pupils turned into slits as he continued "You are the one who is testing my patience"

"She was mine, to begin with!" Killian shouted attracting the attention of many beastmen outside the castle "She is my soulmate and you dare covet her!?"

"She is my spouse now!" Blake shouted in return "And you are the one who is making fuss without even having any right on her"

"Right!?" Killain took a threatening step towards Blake "Bastard, she is my soulmate, the only one for me"

"It is the same for me" Blake snapped "I don’t know this absurd soulmate thing or anything else, she is my mate and my mark is on her body" he also took a step forward "And I will not sit and tolerate if you separate her from me"

"Then are you gonna fight?" Killian asked raising his brows

"If that is what it takes to stop you, then yes" Blake answered

Killian narrowed his eyes "Your wish"

However, he halted his actions when he sensed a presence behind him "Are you both going to join that snake and stop me?" Killian questioned, without turning back.

Victor and Demir strode forward, Demir frowned "I’m just protecting my beloved"

"Beloved?" Killian snickered and faced them "You bastards have lost it claiming what is mine as yours" his eyes flickered as he continued "I will make sure to remove that ridiculous delusion out of your minds"

"You have quite a temper" Victor commented

Killian glanced at him "Then should I stay calm even after hearing you guys?"

Victor folded his hands "What are you gonna do after killing us? Are you going to forcefully take my sweet girl from here?"

Killian frowned "Why would I force her? She is my mate and will follow me with her own will"

Victor laughed loudly hearing his words making Killian dumbfounded.

Killian eyed him "Why are you laughing?"

Victor relaxed a little and stared at him "Do you think that Lyra will obediently follow after you, knowing that you caused our demise?"

Killian remained calm and let Victor continue his words "I don’t know about me and Demir but the moment something happens to Blake, she will end her own life"

Killian’s eyes shook and he stuttered "Wh-what?"

"In the past when I tried to do the same thing as you, my sweet girl threatened me with her life" Victor reasoned "So stop your madness and try to negotiate with us"

Demir widened his eyes and nudged at Victor whispering "What are you trying to do?"

Victor ignored Demir and continued his words "Spend one day with my sweet girl and you will realize the truth"

"Victor!" Blake glared at him trying to stop him from speaking further, but he halted hearing Killian’s voice

"Okay, I will do that"

Blake and Demir blinked their eyes in disbelief and turned to Victor with admiring eyes. Victor smiled smugly as if saying ’I know I’m great’

Then he looked at Killian "Come inside, you are our guest now"

Although perplexed, Killian followed Victor inside the house.
