Chapter 66: Killian

"What!?"

Darcio jumped from his chair hearing all three of them scream at the same time.

Victor held his forehead "Why the hell is it that guy!?"

Blake narrowed his eyes and grumbled "Killian!"

Demir frowned in frustration "Should we hide her somewhere?"

Lucas was perplexed seeing their drastic change after hearing one name. He spoke after contemplating "Who is that guy for all of you to react like this?"

Victor eyed him "It is not just anyone, it is Killian, the lord of the north"

"So?" Lucas asked still confused

Victor clicked his tongue "Haven’t you heard about the sadistic ruler of the north?"

Lucas widened his eyes "The one who massacred a whole tribe for revenge?"

Victor nodded his head "It is the same beastman, he trained with three of us in the past, but he is the craziest out of the four of us"

Lucas rolled his eyes "As if you three are any less"

"What did you say?" Blake glowered

"Stop it!" Demir glared at them "Talk something useful"

"By the way why are you entering this matter?" Victor questioned pointing at Demir "It’s not like you have any chance with my sweet girl"

Demir chuckled "I should ask the same for you, You are not even her mate"

Victor smirked "She already accepted me, I’m not like you"

Demir clenched his jaws and stopped talking. Victor smiled smugly and turned towards Blake "What should we do now?"

"We should keep Killian away from Lilly" Blake answered

"Is he that dangerous?" Lucas suddenly questioned

Victor wore a grim expression "Don’t even ask about it, he is the most ruthless beastman I have ever seen, his sanity was lost the day he eradicated his own, tribe"

Lucas frowned "Why did he kill his own, tribe? I have heard many stories but I don’t know which is true"

Blake answered "It is the one with his parents"

"You mean....?"

Blake nodded in agreement "Hmm, his parents together with his sister were killed when he was away from the tribe"

Lucas closed his eyes "Why would they do something like that"

Victor glanced at him "To overthrow Killian’s father, who was a king then"

"They killed their own, King?" Lucas asked in shock

"Black panthers are normally like that, they don’t follow rules" Demir replied

"But why are you guys thinking about keeping him away from her?" Darcio questioned after a long time

Victor turned to him "Because he also doesn’t follow rules, I bet that he will snatch her away to the north"

"And we will allow that?" Lucas asked

Victor smiled eerily "You wolf, don’t you know that black panthers have special powers?"

"Special powers?" Lucas frowned

"It is controlling the flame, black panthers can manipulate fire and use it as a weapon" Victor cleared his doubt.

Lucas remained silent, Victor stared at him and continued "Blake and Demir’s weakness is fire, and as for me, fire is dangerous for my wings, so fighting him head-on is difficult"

"You can talk it out with him my lords" Darcio suggested

Demir glanced "It is not so easy Darcio, he doesn’t listen to others"

"But, that female tamed all of you," he said pointing his finger at them

"He will definitely, fall for her," Victor said "I don’t doubt that, but the main problem is him accepting us, he is very possessive of something that he likes"

Demir sighed "It is better to keep her away from him"

All of them nodded in agreement but failed to notice someone spying on them.

NORTHERN MOUNTAIN

A huge stone castle proudly stood amid heavy snow-filled northern mountains. Inside the castle torches of fire were blazing creating a terrifying scene in darkness.

On a stone bed, a black panther of gigantic size lay lazily with its eyes closed.

"Master..." a cold voice was heard in heavy silence.

Hearing that voice, an auburn colored eye snapped opened glancing around the surroundings "Kenna?"

"Yes it’s me master" the voice replied

The black panther’s eyes turned towards the blazing fire in its side "Why are you here all of a sudden?"

The flame named Kenna replied to him "I have great news for you master"

The Panther chuckled "Were you spying on someone again?"

"I only listen if someone talks about you master" the fire answered

"Hmm, tell me what information did you bring this time?" the panther questioned

"It is about your mate master" the fire answered

The black panther narrowed its eyes and turned into its beastman form with midnight black hair, auburn colored eyes, tanned muscular skin, with chiseled features, "My mate?"

The fire solidified into a little blaze bird "I can sense your soulmate master, she has reached the beast world"

The man smirked "Then I should go and get her"

The bird flew around him "It is not that easy master, she already has mates"

"Then I’ll kill them," he said casually

The bird chirped "They are powerful, master. You also know them"

The man frowned "I know them?"

"They are the lords that you were acquainted in the past" the fire gave an answer

The man grinned "How amusing, they dare covet what is mine?" he then glanced at the fire "I want to see her, now"

The bird turned into fire "Yes master"

As the fire grew bigger there were some sights inside it. The fire inside Lyra’s room glowed "It is her" the fire said

Killian stared at the images in the fire, Lyra’s back was turned against him and he could only see her golden blonde hair cascading on her fair back, he didn’t know why but Killian’s heart started pounding in anticipation to see her face, soon his wish was granted as Lyra turned her face towards the fireplace.

The man’s body went stiff after seeing her, his breathing became labored, and his pupils dilated. Sharp features which plunged into his heart, but an equally serene face that soothed him. His trembling hands reached the fire to pull her to him, he wanted to hold her, Killian was not able to believe that his soulmate was someone so bewitching. Right at the moment when he reached his hand, clear blue eyes stared back at him making his breath hitch, and the next second the images got erased like a fantasy.

His eyes widened in panic "Why did you stop!?"

The fire flickered "I do-don’t know master, some unusual power repelled me from creating a portal"

Killian seethed "Useless!"

He paced back and forth inside the room, his head was muddled with the images of his mate, he wasn’t able to take her out of his head "I want to see her again, my treasure" his nervous voice filled with angst traveled throughout the room

His eyes turned sharp as he turned into his beast form "I can’t wait any longer" he said and paced out of the room exiting the castle.

Back in the rose castle, Lyra blinked her eyes in confusion when she saw the fireplace. she bet that she saw someone inside it, or maybe it was just her imagination. Then she turned towards Noah’s sleeping face and chuckled "He looks so relaxed"

Noah frowned and opened his eyes groggily listening to her giggles, she caressed his face "Sleep some more"

He nodded his head and hugged her waist, falling asleep.

Blake, Victor, and Lucas entered the castle and scrunched their face in disdain. Blake’s eyes flickered as he looked at the second floor with his longing eyes "They mated"

Lucas swallowed a lump inside his throat and entered his room in silence. Victor on another side gritted his teeth in anger, his self-control was snapping as of this moment, so he controlled his nerve and went to his room too.

Blake clenched his fist and closed his eyes, this was his choice but it still left a bitter taste in his mouth, sharing your loved one was the most excruciating pain in the world. sometimes he thought of abandoning everything and taking his Lilly far away from here, but he knew that it was not possible. He entered his room with a heavy heart but soon halted when he saw his little ones sleeping peacefully. His lips automatically arched into a smile as he got near.

The little snakes sensed their father and opened their eyes hissing at him, Blake caressed their head and cooed them "Sleep"

They docilely went back to their sleep and Blake turned into his beast form curling around them.
