Chapter 212: Feeling

"You are the woman I love’’ Kaizer repeated his words as he gazed at her. Following his words, he also noticed how her eyes wavered before they mellowed and later hardened.

’’Stop talking nonsense’’ she grumbled while glaring at him and that made him smile.

He smirked at her and titled his head, ’’You look so cute when you get angry’’ she glared at him even more and his smirk broadened as he added, ’’Just like a small bunny’’

’’Stop calling me that!’’ Lyra shouted. Her face was flushed due to shame and her fists clenched together, "Don’t call me those weird names" What did he mean by calling her a bunny? She was nothing like that!

But contrary to her retort, Kaizer noticed Lyra’s blue eyes brimming with angry tears resembling that of a small animal. And her beautiful flushed face indulged in shame that made her look pitiful. The longer he stared at her face, the more he felt like losing his senses. Those eyes of hers and those lips! He tightly clenched his jaw trying to control himself. The taste of her lips still remained intact in his mind and for now, he wanted nothing more but to taste, to ravish, to bite and swallow them in their entirety.

But the remaining bit of his sanity stopped him from acting on his thoughts. He can not do that! At least not now when she just relaxed in his company.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Lyra looked at him in confusion and nervousness. He was looking at her with so much intensity that she had a hard time keeping her face straight. He looked like a predator that was ready to pounce on its prey and sadly, she knew that the prey here was herself. Also, this was not the first time that she received that kind of gaze. All of her mates looked at her in the same way whenever they were..... aroused.

"Why are you looking at me like th-that?" she managed to squeak out her nonexistent voice and asked him or maybe it was because she felt the dire need of distracting his train of insidious thoughts. She had an intuition that whatever he was thinking right now was do nothing good for her. She hoped for him to snap out of whatever he was thinking and felt the urge to change the topic but froze hearing his following words.

"You don’t remember our kiss do you?" His voice was calm but firm. For a second, Lyra forgot to breathe. She looked at him with her eyes widened and in utter disbelief.

"What?" what was he even talking about? She had a hard time gaining her composure but when she did the only thing she could say was, "Are you crazy?"

"Am I?" kaizer asked her back but soon shook his head, "Around you...I’m clumsy yes, but crazy? That can wait for the future"

"What does that even mean?" Lyra grumbled in displeasure. He was talking nonsense that didn’t make any sense.

Kaizer chuckled, "That means I might go crazy in the future... When you reject me"

Lyra was done. She looked at him with dead eyes and that made him laugh even more, "You really are crazy"

She glared at him in silence as he continued to laugh. His boisterous laughter echoed inside the cave. But the other thing that she noticed about his laughter was how this seemed to be the first time for him. To laugh. It was as though he was finally free from whatever confined him. It was just intuition on her side and was not even sure if she was right.

Nevertheless, her guess was right on point on Kaizer’s side. He never recalled being this happy. Heck, he didn’t even know what it meant to be happy. Even now, he was getting worried wondering if he really deserved such happiness but one glance at her face instantly lightened his mood. Contrary to his joy, she looked annoyed and almost angry but that did not stop him from laughing. Even when he stopped, a subtle smile still hung on the corner of his lips.

"You are weird" Lyra chimed in breaking his thoughts. No matter how she looked, he seemed odd and borderline crazy. He was creepily smiling even after she called him ’Crazy’ The smile never left his face and that made her squirm in her place, "I don’t like you at all"

"But I like you" rang his calm and deep voice.

See! This is why she didn’t like him. He gave the weirdest replies to whatever she asked and said.

Huffing, she turned away from him and resumed looking at the falling rain.

Kaizer scooter near her and nudged his shoulder against hers making her glare.

"Stop it!" she warned trying to sound as intimidating as possible and scooted away from him.

But who was she kidding? Because the shameless man mimicked her movements by scooting near her and when she looked at him angrily, he just beamed in return.

Lyra pursed her lips before she stretched her hands toward him. Kaizer looked at her hand in confusion but exclaimed the next minute, "Ah!"

He looked at her in disbelief. She just..... Just now pinched his arm and as though satisfied with his reaction smirked before saying, "Aww... Did that hurt?"

Kaizer nodded and she added, "It was meant to. So you better learn your lesson or I will pinch you even harder"

"Got it?" she asked as though imploring and he meekly nodded his head while continuing to rub his bruised arm. It was turning red and Kaizer who received such a small injury for the first time in his life sat dumbfounded. This pain...He never experienced something like this ever in his life. When he was training hard to level up in the past, he received many big injuries and wounds. Some were life-threatening but never! Not even when he was fatally injured did he experience pain. Everything including his entire being was numb to all the superficial things like pain, grief, happiness, and sadness.

He once again looked down at his stinging arm. Then with complicated eyes, he gazed at the one responsible for everything he was going through. She looked absolutely clueless.

And once she felt his gaze on her, she turned towards him and frowned. Soon that frown turned into concern as she looked at the arm that she had pinched.

"Oh my God, it is turning red! Are you okay? I’m sorry...I didn’t mean to pinch you so hard! It’s because males are stronger in this world..... What the heck did I do!?" she kept on rambling as she rubbed his arm and blew air on it.

Whereas, Kaizer felt his eyes darken inhaling her sweet fragrance. And before he could even think, his face leaned toward her and he pressed his lips against hers.
