Chapter 162: Killing

"Finally!" Kalena exclaimed while her eyes scanned the new ’body’ that she occupied after persuading the owner of the said body who is a fool.

Angels didn’t have a body of their own because they are heavenly beings and it was more like a curse for thier immortality. They have to give up their divinity for them to get a body but Kalena felt that it was unfair.

Even some beastman in this world were able to have both immortality and a physical form but angels were not able to do that.

When Adrian fell in love with Vanadey, he gave up his immortality and chose to become a mortal to stay with her which Kalena hated to the core. He was a powerful archangel that was born to rule but instead chose otherwise for that ’unworthy bitch’.

Kalena thought that women who hindered a man’s path to success did not deserve them. Instead, a woman like herself, who is a powerful angel that could support him in accomplishing the world was more suitable to stand beside him.

"It’s his loss anyway!" She grumbled bitterly before turning towards the city.

Stepping outside the forest, she started to walk toward her destination ’The Black wolf tribe’

After walking for quite a distance, she finally reached the tribe and the guards were surprised to see Elena. They were ordered to not let her leave the room by the king but here she was leisurely returning from outside.

The guards wanted to question her but held back after receiving a harsh glare. They shuddered in their place and looked at their princess in both terror and shock. The aura emitted by Elena was so immense that they chose to remain silent and let her in instead of stopping her.

A small smirk played on her lips looking at the guards. She likes the feeling of seeing someone getting scared of her and relished it when someone begged for their life. She couldn’t help but remember the past where Vanadey begged Kalena to at least let her daughter live. But Kalena calmly killed Vanadey by ripping her heart out and cursed her daughter to be reborn as a mortal.

Kalena felt that she had done a favor for both Adrian and Vanadey by cursing their daughter instead of killing her then and there. Her reason for not killing that child in the past was because Adrian stopped her but now he was not here and she would get her revenge either by hook or crook.

Lost in her thoughts, she reached the king’s room.

King Alexander noticed a presence inside his space and turned around to only meet his daughter’s cold gaze.

His brows furrowed together, "How did you get out of your room?" Then his eyes darted towards the door, "Where are the guards?"

"You need to relax father...." Kalena who was now in Elena’s body said in a sickeningly sweet voice. She slowly crept inside the room and King Alexander instinctively took a step back.

He didn’t know why he was suddenly getting sacred of his daughter but his instincts screamed at him to flee. The king felt absurd and glared at Elena, "Get out of here before I ask someone to drag you out"

And Elena smirked at his remark. She was amused by how the king was trying hard to not show his weakness. ’He must be confused’

She mused to herself.

King Alexander was indeed confused by his daughter’s demeanor. He was not able to point it out but something was odd with her and he could feel it.

"Elena....." He opened his mouth to say something but instead groaned in pain when a sharp object pierced his abdomen. He looked up at his daughter with terror-filled eyes but they morphed into a worried frown noticing the chilling smile on her face.

King Alexander’s heart clenched bitterly not because of pain but concern. He got worried for his daughter.

"What is.....Cough....wrong with you?" Fresh blood surged out of the corner of his mouth but he ignored everything while gazing at his daughter’s unfamiliar eyes.

The wound that should have been healed by now was continuing to bleed. Beastmen generally had a great rejuvenation and it was even more for a king beastmen like Alexander. He unconsciously did not worry about his wound because it would heal but something was wrong. ’Something was really wrong!’ The gash made by Elena kept on bleeding and it didn’t help further when she ruthlessly twisted the knife inside his gut.

"Ugh!" Alexander gritted his teeth and tried to remove Elena but her grip was surprisingly firm. The King felt his powers getting drained and he fell to his knees.

"Haha....haha" Her mirthful laughter filled the room as she easily removed the knife from his stomach making him whimper in pain.

Kalena raised the dagger which was induced by her powers to her eye level and smiled. It was not in her intention to get rid of the black wolf tribe’s king but he left no other options for her. She could sense that he could become a hindrance in her future plans if she let him live.

She liked to do things faultlessly. And getting control of this tribe by killing their king was a great plan.

Stepping towards the king who was still on his knees, she aimed the dagger against his throat, "Forgive me Elena. But I have to do this" with that, she slit his throat killing him.

King Alexander’s dead body slumped on the floor and blood seeped out of his throat.

The patrolling guards of the black wolf tribe dropped to the ground one after another. They were not able to move from thier place due to the revulsion that they received from the death of their king.

Inside the forest, Kaizer snapped open his glowing purple eyes. After all, he was also from the black wolf tribe and could feel that something was wrong with their tribe’s king. He did not feel any discomfort because he was stronger than the previous king.

"What did you do this time...?" He muttered to himself. Kaizer was sure that king Alexander might have done something to others and they have gotten rid of him. He could care less about that crazy king. It was not his place to go and check out the tribe when he was just a rootless beastman.

So he once again closed his eyes and entered a deep slumber. Kaizer never knew that this decision of his could be the thing that he would most regret in the upcoming days.
