Chapter 160: Asking for help

Elena was pushed inside her room and before she could turn around and protest, the door closed with a loud ’thud’ startling her.

She looked at the closed door blankly. Elena couldn’t believe that she was being treated like this. Her father never did something like this to her. He always said that she was his pride and happiness. Was all of that lies? Did he say those words to keep her mouth shut?

Too many questions like these ran inside her mind. And the next thing to follow was frustration and anger. She started to shout while slamming the door with her hands, "Let me out of here! I will kill all of you once I get out! Father! Please.....don’t do this to me!"

The guards outside the room flinched hearing her shouts. Her next words made them pale.

"I will kill myself if you don’t let me out"

They nervously glanced at each other. One of the guards decided to inform the king and left that place.

After a few minutes, he returned with a tired face. The guard standing near the door looked at him, "What did his majesty say?"

The other guard sighed, "His majesty said that she wouldn’t dare to do that"

And Elena heard his words behind the door. Her father knew her too well. She would never harm herself in any situation. Instead, she could harm others but never herself, and her father understood it.

Elena slumped against the door while clutching her forehead. She needed to think of some solution quickly...Lexi! Yes, Lexi will definitely help her. But for that to happen, she has to go to the fox tribe.

She quickly got up from the ground and walked toward the room’s balcony. And as she expected, her mates were hiding their presence behind the trees outside the castle walls.

’Fools’ she sneered inside at them. Elena looked at them like they are the most pathetic beings in the world. They always tried to cater to her wishes and would be even willing to give up their lives if she asked. This is why she loves and adored Lucas. He is not like those fools. A prince of one of the strongest tribes in the land and a warrior. It was never his priority to chase a female just to become her mate. Even when she threw herself on him, he never cast a glance and pushed her away.

That excited her. Elena at any cost wanted to have that stone-cold beastman to herself. She was confident that her charm would one or the other day reach him. But her dreams came crashing down because of that ’bitch’. Elena didn’t even remember that bitch’s name because she was not worth it. Just remembering her face annoyed Elena. She swore to remove that annoying bitch from Lucas’ life no matter what price she has to pay in exchange for doing that.

But to do that, she first had to get out of this prison. Elena saw no difference in this situation where she looked like a criminal kept captive but the only difference here was that she did not commit any crime but was locked up by her senile father.

Sighing tiredly, she turned her attention back to her mates. Hesitantly, she tried to take a fall but was instead held by a strong grip up in the air.

"Are you alright?" A masculine voice asked her and she opened her eyes. Elena felt exhilarated seeing Heath’s face. With his help, reaching the fox tribe would become easy. Heath is one of her mates but most importantly he is an eagle beastman.

"I’m fine" she looked down, "Take me to the fox tribe right now"

Heath looked troubled, "Father-in-law...."

"Are you saying that you can’t!?" She snapped before he could even say more words.

Heath knew that his father-in-law put his spouse under house arrest. The black wolf tribe’ king was a ruthless beastman, he despised disobedience. Heath had no choice but to follow his father-in-law’s orders for his mate’s safety.

"I’m sorry..."

Elena ground her teeth. She wanted to scream and whack him but held back because her father would be the next person to face her if she made a sound and get caught by the patrolling guards.

So she decided to try the next best option and that was coaxing him. Putting on a pitiful face, she gazed at her mate, "Heath, please. Father is forcing me to mate with that fox tribe’s prince" tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued, "Everyone knows why he was banished from the beast city. Do you want me to be with someone like that lunatic?"

Heath felt his rage rise. Elena’s father only said that he temporarily put her on house arrest because she didn’t listen to him. And when he asked about the reason, the king shrugged it off saying that it was nothing big.

"That scoun...." He stopped himself from cursing out loud after seeing his mate’s stern face.

Elena didn’t like others’ disrespecting her father. But she had no mood to pursue this matter so she asked again, "Will you take me now? I have to meet Lexi and stop this arrangement as soon as possible"

Heath nodded promptly and soared to the sky with her in his arms.

After flying for some time, they finally reached the fox tribe.

Heath descended on the balcony that his mate pointed at and slowly lowered her to the ground.

Elena turned to him and said, "I will talk to Lexi and come back here. You should leave for now"

’Are you sure?’ He wanted to ask because he felt worried for his mate but stopped himself. Heath really didn’t know how talking to her friend would help this situation but he decided to trust her and left the place.

Elena took a deep breath and turned back facing the open space beyond the balcony. This was not the first time for her to visit Lexi and hence she knew that at this time her friend would be having her dinner. So she decided to wait for her friend and stepped inside the room.

After a few moments, Elena heard the door opening, and her eyes relaxed seeing the familiar face.

Lexi who just entered her room was surprised to see Elena sitting on her bed, "Elena? What are you doing here?"

Elena’s pent-up frustration and tears flowed freely down her face after seeing her friend, "Lexi....." She ran towards her and hugged her tightly while continuing to sob.

Lexi caressed her back and opened her mouth still in confusion, "What’s wrong Elena?"

Elena strugglingly parted her lips amidst her sobs, "Please help me....I-i don’t want to become mates with Prince Xavier. You are my only hope now. Even my father abandoned me and said that it cannot be stopped"

Lexi raised her brows and rolled her eyes. ’This spoiled female really!’ She too didn’t like this fool becoming her brother’s mate. He deserved better.

Yes, Elena is her friend but Lexi became her friend in the first place because her late father asked her to or she was not someone to mingle with fools.

Her late father wanted to gain control of the silver wolf tribe by making Elena Lucas’ mate but everything turned upside down because of Lyra. Leix didn’t like Lyra, but she held in awe at Lyra’s scheme of having powerful mates by her side. Not everyone could do that.

And on the other hand, her so-called friend Elena was the dumbest female she had ever seen. Lexi didn’t like chasing after a beastman that didn’t like her like Elena. No matter how powerful they are, it was not worth it for females to cling to them.

She sighed before saying, "This arrangement can’t be stopped, Elena. I’m sorry"
