Chapter 159: Babies [Bonus Chapter]

The little snakes looked at their mother curiously as she lowered her arms, "These are your little brothers. You have to take care of them"

Eight pairs of eyes gazed at the two cubs without blinking.

Lyra couldn’t help but laugh at their reaction. She lowered the cubs to the ground and was surprised when the two stood up after struggling a bit.

They opened their adorable little mouths and growled at the little snakes.

The two brothers felt wary of the little snakes. But most of all, they didn’t like how their mother called them her babies. The cubs wanted their mommy to look only at them because they are her only babies.

"Babies, you shouldn’t do that your big brothers," Lyra said not fully understanding their hostile gazes directed toward the little snakes.

She glanced at Noah feeling troubled, "What are they saying?" The cubs were only growling but she could make out that they were trying to say something to her.

Noah who just returned from the lion tribe looked at the two energetic cubs and smirked, "Nothing. They are saying that they love meeting their big brothers"

The little snakes were stunned by Noah’s words. They looked at the cubs in joy and started to play with them.

Meanwhile, the cubs looked at their father feeling betrayed, "Grrr"

"What? Want to fight with me?" Noah asked while chuckling. They were not even the size of his fist and look at their attitude.

"Stop bullying them," Lucas said to Noah and took the cubs from the ground, "They are still small and will understand to get together with their big brothers in the future"

"Isn’t that right champs!?" He asked looking at the cubs and the two of them nodded enthusiastically. They started to snuggle into Lucas’ embrace and looked at their father smugly. They liked uncle Lucas better!

Lyra didn’t know whether to laugh or cry after seeing this. She noticed that the cubs were more attached to Lucas than to their father. That made her nervous. So she worriedly looked at Noah and was surprised to see him smiling.

All of her worries vanished right after that and she made her way to the second floor.

Lyra smiled looking at the view beyond the balcony. During her pregnancy, she decided to stay on the ground floor for safety, and she missed her room.

She just stepped into the balcony when someone embraced her tightly. Lyra’s face was crushed against a solid chest and she went blank for some time.

"I missed you..." A familiar voice stopped her from screaming out loud.

"Kyrell?" And as expected. He pulled away from her revealing his light blonde hair and ruby red eyes.

A smile automatically made its way to her face, "How are you?"

"I’m not fine" he whined, "You left without even informing me"

Lyra suddenly felt guilty. She knew that he would sometimes sneak into her room but due to rush, she forgot about him.

"I’m sorry" she apologized, "I was in a hurry and couldn’t inform you"

Kyrell sighed, "It’s fine" then he looked at her properly and asked, "How are you doing after the labor?"

"I’m fine" she answered. Well, it was complicated in the beginning but everything was resolved.

"I was worried about you," he said and once again hugged her. Ah....he couldn’t get enough of her. Then his thoughts came to a halt when he sensed someone coming in their direction.

He gently pulled her behind him and looked at the door with vigilant eyes.

"What’s wrong?" Lyra asked peeking her head. Then her eyes went wide seeing the one standing near the door.

"Blake?"

Blake cast a glance at her before looking back at Kyrell.

"You were the one that saved me that day right?" Blake still remembered a golden eagle breaking his illusion. He also knew that this beastman was the one to kidnap his Lilly and was also part of the prophecy.

Kyrell didn’t reply anything and remained silent. That day was nothing. He sensed someone using darkness and he just repelled it.

"You two know each other?" Lyra asked while looking at both of them in confusion.

Blake stepped towards them and pulled Lyra to his side, "He was the one who saved me that day from a rootless beastman"

Lyra looked at Kyrell in surprise, "Is it true?"

He nodded and she smiled, "Then why didn’t you inform me about it sooner?"

Kyrell didn’t want to brag about that. Hell, he didn’t even like to talk about other males when they were together.

"Don’t sneak inside the castle anymore"

Blake’s words struck like a thundershock to Kyrell. This was his only way of seeing his beloved. He didn’t want to stop that!

"You can stay here from now on" now both Lyra and kyrell were stunned by Blake’s words.

Blake caressed his mate’s head as he added, "I will talk to others" then he turned to Kyrell, "They will not stop you from entering here any longer but before that...."

He left Lyra’s side and launched a punch at Kyrell’s face, "This is for kidnapping my Lilly"

Kyrell staggered due to the heavy blow but he soon started smiling. The pain felt nothing compared to the fact that he could live here from now on.

Lyra looked at Blake blankly and the latter chuckled at her expression, "Why are you making that face?"

"Why?" She only asked that but Blake understood her question.

He dragged her out of the room leaving grinning Kyrell inside. Then he kissed her cheeks before answering, "That eagle is a good beastman"

Compared to Victor and Killian, this golden eagle was nicer and more reasonable. He didn’t stress his Lilly to accept him and quietly sneaked inside to see her and left without causing any commotion.

Blake also saw that Kyrell was not overbearing even when he was powerful. When he kidnapped Lyra, they weren’t able to find her for days. Blake then realized that Kyrell could in fact take her away from here and they wouldn’t be able to stop him.

So instead of making enemies with such a strong beastman, wasn’t it reliable to keep him near his Lilly?
